“the food is very good but I see that they have that back from their takeout menu from the way it used to be I usually get a cheeseburger deluxe and the price I never had a problem with it but now I have a problem with it because instead of a whole pickle I get too little pickle wedges I get a little cup of coleslaw and I do not get the sesame bun like I used to the food is still good but the things I just said takes away from it for the price I pay.“

“This spot is absolutely beautiful and tough to get a reservation for. Having gotten the chance to eat there I understand. Big parties book this restaurant for not only the space but the delicious food. Tried three spreads, their spinach side, and their salmon with rice. Was too full to order dessert but will definitely be back to try more. Bathroom was clean and the servers were so nice.“

“There are many excellent Greek restaurants in Astoria and Ambrosia Garden can hold its own with all of them. The decor is splendid. It feels like you are being teleported to an intimate Greek island. Pavlos, our server, was top notch. Every dish we had was on point. The meal started with fresh house baked bread and olive oil. Excellent. We then ordered the Hellenic salad, tzatziki, a couple of glasses of Cava and some wine. I ordered the grilled lamb chops, my wife and mother in law ordered two branzinos and my father in law ordered the cod special. I loved it all. My father in law thought that the cod was too salty and Pavlos was extremely apologetic. He proceeded to give us a couple of desserts on the house. Amazing. Each are done in house and they are special. We had a sticky cake layer topped with a cream and pistachio. It was divine and then we had their famous orange cake. So good. I finished off the meal with a perfect double espresso. Thank you Pavlos and thank you Ambrosia Garden for a wonderful experience.“

“Came here for Monday lunch. Food was good but not amazing. But the service was very slow. Ordered the standard lunch prefix menu (app, main, dessert) and ended up spending almost 2 hours, mostly in waiting, not what I would expect from lunches.“

“We first heard about Tony’s on Jon Barr’s YouTube channel (prepping for our first NYC visit). Can only say that this is the perfect spot to get food, and then go eat it in Central Park.
Both times we visited the food was great, staff was very friendly & we received our orders within a couple of minutes.
The memorable comment from my girlfriend - “I want to move to NYC because of Tony’s”“
“My friend and I had the most gorgeous dinner at Gaia last Tuesday. We ordered a fantastic Piniot Nior followed by Organic chicken and potatoes with a side of spinach. My friend had steak, all cooked perfectly. The restaurant had a warm and welcome atmosphere. Conveniently located next to the hotel we where staying in, the Gregorian.“

“The whole vibe with Greek auntie felt like I was actually in Greece . All that was missing was the Aperol spritz. The food was incredible and while we had to wait to get a table the wait is worth it. Everything is cooked with love and you can tell. I recommend the branzino .“

“I was craving a Greek gyro, and this place hit the spot :) Overall, it was tasty! I’d give it a 7.5/10. The pita sandwich came with tomato, onions, tzatziki, and on top, some fries! My only critiques were that it would be nice if it had lettuce, and the fries could’ve been a bit crispier because they already started out pretty soft and the travel home didn’t help.“

“Hard to see from the street but glad I found it online! I was in town for work and wanted quick, easy, delicious food to take back to my hotel room. This was a perfect choice. Meat skewer, spanakopita, and baklava were all excellent. Really needed that spinach after eating a lot of bagels and cream cheese this week. The dining room was super cozy and the staff kind and courteous. I'd like to go back sometime with friends for dine-in. :)“

“Family Corner is an amazing cozy family restaurant that my friends & fam have been going to for decades! It’s like “Cheers” where everyone knows each other’s name! The food is made fresh homemade with ♥️Love everyday! Their food is so tasty and the portions are generous. The staff & owner makes you feel part of their family. It’s intimate diner throw back to another time atmosphere is refreshing! The traditional Greek food is out of this world and very reasonably priced. And it has a thriving takeout/ delivery business. Neighborhood eateries like The Family Corner - is what makes our Astoria community great!!!“

“So we were out in Brooklyn where we stumbled upon this restaurant and grateful that we did. I don’t even know where to begin, James and his son (which I thought was his brother) are the nicest, hospitable people ever. The food is INCREDIBLE, I mean how do you elevate a green salad, but James did!! Everything we had was 10/10!, from the grilled scallops, to the steak & eggs, down to the mastic gelato. Thank you for a great experience and you will be seeing us again .“

“The octopus is PERFECTLY cooked. The flavors are incredible. I only wish it came with some potato or salad underneath. We also got the lamb fricassee, that sauce is so lovely and lemony. I think the lamb was just a touch over cooked but that is my only note on that dish. We got a half portion of rice on the side and I would recommend so you can savor every last bit of the sauce! The service is great, and I love the atmosphere. It feels like old New York and you are surrounded by Greek families in the restaurant. They gave bread with a delish vinegar and the end of the meal was a nice rice pudding dessert on the house. I will definitely be coming back!“

“Really enjoyed the takeout I ordered for delivery. The Royal Greens Salads are huge!!! I would say they're twice as big as other salads chains. I wish it was easier though to know the dietary info for the salad dressings as I could not tell which ones were vegan. I love that you can choose your own protein and swap some of the toppings or build your own. I also got the green tofu curry dish from SriPraPhai as well. The sauce was incredibly flavor and I liked the amount of kick it had. It was spicy but not too spicy for me atleast. I do wish it had more tofu in it though as it felt very sauce heavy. I would order takeout from here again especially if I was getting food with someone who wanted something different then me. I appreciate the free delivery and the amazing portion sizes. It's nice to be able to order multiple cuisines as well.“

“Came here on a Saturday at 4 pm . Was pretty dead . Not sure why . The atmosphere, service, food was AMAZING. From the octopus appy & feta dip , to all entrees was so delicious, especially the seafood pasta dish . The balaclava was to die for …. Highly recommend this wonderful friendly restaurant to any foodie looking for an exquisite meal . ♥️“

“I’ve been coming to Souvlaki Spot almost every day for lunch, and it’s consistently excellent. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients. Everything I’ve tried has been great, especially the souvlaki plates and gyros. The portions are generous, the service is fast, and the staff always makes you feel welcome.
It’s hard to find a place that’s this consistent day after day, and that’s what keeps me coming back. If you’re looking for authentic Greek food and a reliable lunch spot, I highly recommend Souvlaki Spot!“
