“Really shockingly good Sichuan food. The mala flavor was really delightful, it was really pleasantly numbing and incredibly flavorful. We got the dry pot baby rib and kung pao chicken lunch specials and both were quite excellent. The kung pao chicken really stood out to me as being particularly flavorful and nicely spiced. The interior of the resturant was also gorgeous and not too busy during lunch hours.“

“We went for drinks. They were serious about having the table for 90 minutes and then having us go. We were there at 7pm. It was for five people, they graciously let two others join for the last 10 minutes before we were to leave.

“Antidote was such a great spot to have dinner on my visit to NYC. The wait was not too long considering there were 7 people in my party. We had so many items off the menu and the staff was very attentive to allergies and other food preferences. The tea smocked duck was incredible, the cucumber was amazing, the wontons were delicious! Everyone loved their dish it was absolutely a great dinner. The only downside was that some of the fish dishes were made with tilapia which is not a fish preference for most of the friends I was with. “This was my first time visiting, and I was impressed by the unique seating layout , it made the space feel really interesting and inviting. I ordered the Dan Dan noodles. They were a little bit salty for my taste, but overall very flavorful and satisfying. I’m definitely considering coming back to try the beef noodle soup, the table next to me ordered it, and it looked absolutely delicious!“

“Han Dynasty is one of my go-to restaurants for quality Chinese food in NYC. It is not a hole-in-the-wall establishment like many of the other Chinese restaurants in the city (not that there’s anything wrong with that). The space is large and comfortable, and the food is consistently delicious with very good drink options. The price point is also reasonable considering the location. I like how the menu specifies the spice level of each dish on a scale of 1-10, although I find the calibration to be more American rather than Szechuan spice levels, no surprise. But if you need a real hit just ask for an 11 and the chef will deliver.“

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“This spot has an extensive menu, fantastic prices, large servings, and an inviting atmosphere! Some of the more American style Chinese items (Kung Pao, General Tzo’s, and fried rice) can be ordered and come out extremely quickly (our table neighbors order some of these items and they came out in under 10 minutes!). We ordered the Garlic Sauce Style tofu, Scallion Style chicken, and Chili Oil Pork Dumplings. Everything was super delicious and we would definitely order it all again!“

I had the century egg which was delicious, the umami and fermented flavors balanced by the soft burrata pleased my palate. I also had the honey string cocktail which was sweet with a nice heated finish. I was surprised to know it had black rice vinegar in it since the acid was mellowed out by the upfront fruity flavor. “Large quantities and yummy food! We got 2 combos for two for 6 ppl and it was more than enough food. We got the classic spice with bean curd and king oyster mushrooms, chicken wings, and pork belly. I do wish the Szechuan food was a little more spicy, but the dishes we got, like Shrimp with silken tofu, Szechuan fish fillet with tofu, Dan Dan noodles, and Green Beans was very good. Prices are a little high and portions were small compared to Flushing, but the difference was not extravagant, and for three people we were able to be full for about $90 pre-tip, which is respectable.“

Went during Christmas time and got the seasonal deal: “Buy Combo for Two (2 Regular Portion Main Dishes +1 Snack + 2 Drinks) And Enjoy $10 OFF Your Bill,” but they forgot to take the $10 off so had to ask specifically. Next time, skip this and get the snakehead large portion set meal for two people

- Signature aromatic hot oil suancai fish (snakehead fish regular portion): Reallllyyy yummy and tasted better than the laotan suancai. Not really spicy, but too oily
- Laotan suancai fish (basa fish regular portion): Kinda mala. Mushroom and cabbage was a yummy free add on
- Brown sugar glutinous rice cake: VERY yummy and SO chewy and warm. Must get side
- Passionate fruit tea: Too sweet, not a fan. Tried the milk tea too - get this instead

* Note: idk the diff b/w basa and snakehead fish, tasted the same to me. Both were tender“

“I got the spicy beef noodle soup and the dumplings in chili oil. I thought the soup was decent. I would have preferred it spicer and there wasn't a ton of beef in it. The broth wasn't super rich, but still had decent flavors. One of my favorite things about the soup were the pickled(?) bamboo shoots. It was actually probably my favorite thing in the soup! The dumplings were really good! The chili oil was another star of the meal and I ended up added some into my soup for more spice and flavor.“
