Myself, I had a couple of Sicilian slices which were perfect- thick without being doughy or chewy, and the sauce was delicious - I'll definitely order from and eat in again!“

“The food is always amazing, unique and generous portion size.Recently did a sheva brachos in house, and the owner and staff outdid themselves. They were attentive, accommodating and responsive. “My husband and I went last night for dinner, and we cannot stop talking about how much we enjoyed it. First, they accommodated us quickly and made us feel welcome despite the fact that we arrived a little over 15 minutes late for our reservation; we were expecting to wait but they seated us right away. The atmosphere is soooo pretty with greenery and fun music playing.Now the food: My husband ordered a cocktail and I ordered wine and both came out promptly & were generous in size. While we waited for our food, we looked at the meals that were coming out of the kitchen and everything looked delicious! The serving sizes are VERY generous. My husband ordered the chicken parm vodka special and I ordered the ravioli and meatball. We easily could have split the chicken parm to share. It was easily one of our favorite meal experiences, as everything was made to perfection. For dessert we ordered the cheesecakes.. I have high expectations for cheesecake and theirs did not disappoint. We both left feeling stuffed but in the best way. No notes. 12/10.“

“The other day, I was absolutely thrilled when I decided to order from Doro pizza. Let me tell you, the grandma's style pizza that I ordered was an absolute delight! It was hands down the most amazing grandma's pizza I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. I cannot stress enough how much I would recommend this particular pie. “We found this place on a spur of the moment lunch date decision and so glad we did as we really enjoyed ourselves so much. The pizza is fantastic and we also enjoyed a shrimp app with this incredible tomato sauce and got cheese served with some crust to soak up that yummy sauce. The owner Stephanie I think is her name was so welcoming and even let our dog come join us as it was late and not crowded in the front. Our service was perfect too and I will return for sure maybe for dinner to try the other pasta dishes and more pizza.“

“Yo. This place is it. The truth. Tonight we decided was gonna be a pizza night but my wife specifically wanted PIZZA - like not a tavern style bar pie or a Patsy's/Angelo's NY margarita type. Old school pizza, pizza. Bob's delivered. Literally. From Tappan to Upper Saddle River they brought some of the best "plain" slices I've had since moving to NJ - and it showed up quick, hot and totally in tact. We fking loved this pizza. “Excellent quality food, generous portions at reasonable prices! From the outside, this place looks like a plain-looking slice shop, but it is so much more than that. The service is friendlier than you normally would expect at a place like this, and they even packed up the leftovers for us. That's always a plus in terms of service. I had the fettuccine carbonara, which was certainly above average in quality. I find that carbonara is a difficult and unusual dish to make, so it's a good way to test an Italian restaurant. This place certainly passed the carbonara test. The portion size was absolutely enormous! It was better than the carbonara I had at a certain Michelin-starred restaurant in New Rochelle! I also had the opportunity to taste the fagioli soup, spinach pizza, and eggplant pizza. Everything was delicious. All of this, and the bill was under $50, with the tip included. Can't beat that.“

“An old school authentic Italian deli run by mom, dad, and their son. The food is outstanding, I had an Italian Combo and my wife had a turkey sub, there was no skimping on the ingredients, WOW! As for the pizza ? we traveled here from Cape Cod in search of the best pizza from Rockland County NY through Bergen County NJ. We eventually landed here at Petrillos and met John and his parents working behind the counter. An old school hard-working family making traditional pizzas. We were blown away by what they had created, a super tasty combination of classic sauce and the perfect amount of cheese on a slightly crispy underbody with a soft but crisp crust. We ordered 13 pizzas that day, 10 plain,1 green pepper & onion, and 2 chicken cutlet and cherry pepper. After trying the Chicken cutlet and cherry pepper I called the next morning and ordered 3 more...wow it was awesome. Upon picking up the pizzas Sunday morning we discovered John making breakfast on the flat-top grill so my wife ordered French toast and bacon, yum! We gave this establishment a 5-star review but on a scale of 1-10 we gave our highest review 9.8 only because there has to be room for something higher, we just haven't found it yet. “I stopped into La Bona Pizza after a drive up in Old Tappan and tried a slice of their cheese pizza. It is excellent!. The sauce has so much flavor and that makes the base of the pizza. They are a little on the pricy side but it is well worth it. The rest of their pizzas on display looked really good but they were $4.00 a slice which was a little high for me but there were some creative topping like Chicken Parm and Baked Ziti.“

“Neighborhood Pizza Shop Reborn!Loved coming here growing up in New Ro, it has only gotten better with the new owners! Mario and his brother are super friendly down to earth people! So, the pizza was reliably excellent- much better than other more standard options around. However, it was the the crisp, well-seasoned salad and tender eggplant Parmigiana that won the night. They were delicate and delectable! Our service was lovely and when I mis-chose a local microbrewery beer , the server quickly switched me out to a Stella Artois with no attitude or complaint Thank goodness for local establishments like this that service simple and fresh ingredients. “I can't even explain how I ended up here. Road trip, wrong first choice of a restaurant, but finding this place was a gift from heaven. The service was A1 and the food was amazing. I ordered the chopped sandwich and it was cooked fresh while I waited and Hand delivered to my table 10/10 and if I am in White Plains again. I will make another visit.“

The wait (4 minutes) was worthwhile, as the food was incredibly flavorful. The staff was friendly, and although though the place is small, the deals are substantial. “Cool new spot in town! I was reluctant to try this place out but I decided to give it a try after seeing a nice crowd in there. It turns out there is a new owner, he just kept the name of the place the same. A mistake in my opinion but at least he did one good thing. He hired a great bartender named I know from Barrel and Brew. This guy can make a great drink and he is so personable. He interacts well with guests and designed a great menu of drinks. I enjoyed a couple of delicious margaritas while I was there. They also had a DJ named Bronson playing some great music. I look forward to seeing how this place does because I've always said this spot would make a great bar because of the nice patio outside. It would make a great hangout for the summer. I can't really comment on the food because I only tried an order of wings but they were good. The ambience though gave me reason to believe this place could make it at this spot.“

“Granita's service was very very good - attentive, and patient with a difficult diner in our party :) Pasta Fagiole soup was excellent. Octopus appetizer was ok - shaved octopus with a lot of arugula. Main dishes were decent - from veal ragu linguine to pork chops to tuna special - not outstanding but well prepared. The restaurant is nice, good environment and looks like a great bar area. It's a good local place, for families as well as adult groups.“

“Dante's is a great place. We have been delivery customers for a few years always enjoying dinners, apps as well as fantastic pizza. Deliveries are always quick and efficient . Friday we had to stop by a chef from the CIA who lives in Cresskill and we mentioned feeling like a nice bowl of pasta. So it was no surprise that Dante's was the pick. It's definitely one of the best around. The menu is fairly priced, they are absolutely affordable and the menu is thoughtfully put together. Service was great . Our waiter "E" did a great job. He was on point with his attentive service. He was assisted by another young man and for Lydia and me , we appreciate seeing teamwork. It's what makes restaurants work well. And couple that with quality ingredients and a kitchen crew that works well together and takes pride in the product they put out, well you have a restaurant like Dante's.“

“We could not be happier with how our evening turned out at Olar Noso.A pretty place located right off of Tappan road, there’s ample parking and not a long wait time around 20:00 to be comfortably seated. The restaurant is spacious, lively but not noisy, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Liv, our server, was on point with giving explanations and suggestions on the entrees. We absolutely loved the Salad: I think it consisted of: shredded ricotta salata, pear, pomegranate, arugula, walnuts, and farro (wheat berries), yum, a perfect symphony of flavors which has become one of my favorite dishes. The three of us ordered to share, we commenced with the Gnocchetti "Little pillows" of goat cheese and ricotta with hand-crushed organic tomato, caramelized eggplant, basil, ricotta salata, we found it to be a perfect combination of flavors with every bite. Next were the pizzas; Soppressata pizza topped withtomato, mozzarella, Soppressata, chili oil and honey (the added honey complimented the chili oil). Next, I was outvoted to try the pistachio pizza.. I’ve never had this in my life and asked Liv (as a fellow foodie) for guidance… with mixed reviews, it was decidedly my least favorite, however, it would be interesting to try it with pistachio nuts in a 60/40 blend (in a Vitamix) with ricotta as a spreadable topping (similar to the way a Nutella pizza is prepared).The food was amazing, you can tell their heart is in courtship with creativity by their constant pursuit to invent new and well balanced entrees (with lots to choose from).It’s great to see the way the restaurant blends locally sourced and seasonal ingredients into new creations bringing the farm to table experience for their patrons to enjoy. I would absolutely recommend this place and look forward to visiting again.“
