“Really solid BBQ and sides. We got takeout - the 3 meat plate and a chicken sandwich to share. The brisket was amazing! Ribs and pulled pork very good. Mac n cheese side was creamy and rich. Chix sandwich was on point. Very busy on a Saturday night so expect to wait. Staff was very efficient and friendly. They definitely like working there.“

“A great find after an overnight in Syracuse. My husband and I came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Despite a very full parking lot, we were seated right away. The menu is bursting with a great variety of creative breakfast items! I ordered the veggie frittata and added bacon. The 3 egg size was $10.99 and the 6 egg size was $11.99. You don't have to be an economics expert to realize what the best option is. My husband ordered shrimp and grits. Our food came quickly and we both enjoyed our choices. My husband would have preferred his egg cooked a little softer and the only thing I would have changed with my frittata is to cook the veggies a bit more prior to adding them in to eliminate some of the wateriness. We both took home leftovers so we got more than one meal out of this trip. We would definitely return again!“

I’m new to the Syracuse area and have been told by many people to try them out and I’m glad I finally did! Great vibes, friendly service, and the music was so good. “My # 1 diner to go to, it's never a let down. The food is always great and the portion sizes are incredible!.It's a small shack and a bit claustrophobic but the staff are amazing. You will easily miss the turn and the parking is what it is.One thing i would love for this establishment to do is open a second location with more space inside and out. “If this place were open during better hours, I like to think I would have been here a dozen or more times. Their menu is full of unique, high quality offerings and everybody knows it. So many things I'd absolutely love to try, and some day I will. Every year we vow to try the candidates for the Best Burger contest from the NY Beef Council, and every year, time passes too fast, things come up, we don't have money to spend, or we just forget until it's all over. This year we finally got in front of it and tried the Crooked Birria burger for this year's contest, and threw in a Billy The Kid from the weekly special for good measure. I love everything Birria, and was super excited to see this burger coming from one of the best burger places around. I think maybe the excitement and high expectations might have tainted the experience, but it didn't seem to fit together as I had dreamt it. You can't really tell where the shreddy meat ends and the burger begins. I think it's seasoned with Indian spices, I would guess Garam Masala. Definitely a taste of cinnamon, and some other spices within that vicinity I don't have the literacy to pinpoint. The birria dipping sauce was extremely salty, and I liked the burger better without it. Loved the burger, loved the meat - crookedness and all - but the two things didn't really stack. Billy The Kid was actually the better of the two. Topped with an amazing pile of bacon, onion jam, goat cheese, and chipotle aioli sauce. Same top notch burger, same thick cut bacon we've seen on other burgers. Despite all the sauce, it was lacking in flavor until we added salt. The salt brought the flavor of the sauces to life and made this our favorite burger of the two. Before this, we hadn't been in since 2022... I think to try burgers that had won the previous year's contest. I wouldn't call them the best, but for sure on par with the other known greats in the city. If I could make it back, there are a slew of things on the menu I've been dying to try, but it's always been so long since I've been that I can't pull myself away from the burgers. Check their Facebook, because they do extend their hours for events and things but that also means it's going to be super busy.“

“Looking for a local breakfast joint to start our day, a Google search yielded the interesting Sunshine's Coffee Shop with good reviews, so we made our way over there. A little off the beaten path around the Syracuse airport, but totally visible on the corner. We placed our order for breakfast sandwiches and the home fries with onions. Plus coffee. All delicious! Sunshine's is a small place, with a couple booths plus small tables. Very homey feel. Great way to start our day!!“

“This is a phenomenal venue for a bridal shower. My bridal shower was held there in April 2023. The staff was exceptional, making sure all of our guests had drinks, waters, coffee or anything they may need. Asking for my opinions on timing of cake, food, etc. The food was perfect particularly the lemon chicken, even gave us to go boxes at the end. They were flexible with accommodating some changes to their lunch menu as well that we requested. The rooms are well decorated, beautiful mirrors, greenery and exposed brick. Leaving for very little additional decor needing to be brought. We focused on centerpieces and some signage.We were not rushed out at the end while they were cleaning up. They welcomed my fiancé by his first name when he arrived showing that they pay attention to every detail. Even found a surprise gift from them amongst my gifts at the end! If you are looking for a venue for bridal shower I would highly recommend! Thanks for making my day perfect!“

“A beautiful building in a quiet remote location just a few minutes from Baldwinsville. My first visit here was for a Mardi Gras show by the Soda Ash Six. They had a special menu of cocktails, apps and mains for the show. I ordered a spicy rum cocktail to start, along with the Oyster Po Boy sandwich with fries. I asked for garlic aioli instead of ketchup for no upcharge. Everything was perfectly done. I finished with a blackberry gin based cocktail for dessert. I would easily come here again.“

“Went to the cider mill for the first time and had a great experience. I'm not usually an appetizer person but I like bread before my meal. You have to pay extra for the bread but I would not skip out! The focaccia was delicious and flavorful and I liked the tomato oil it came with. The apple cider donut was amazing as well. “Walked in with my family and my baby in his stroller at (what looked like) the busiest time for dinner on a Saturday night. The man at the host booth said that there was a 30 minute wait but when he saw us with our little one he was able to fix up a quick table for us. We were okay with waiting because the food and drinks are so great, but as a new mom it meant a lot to me that he went out of his way to accommodate my family. This is the kind of service that you remember and return to a restaurant over. Even though the place was packed, our food and drinks came out very quickly and tasted great. Bathroom was clean. Server was kind too. Next time you are going to dinner, no matter who you are with, you should consider The Hops Spot!! And be extra nice to the man at the door!!“

“Friday night is fish Friday night at Dmlins which is the name of the golf course for the restaurant is located. Excellent food. I had chicken. My wife had fish. Both were delicious kitchen. Got a little boatloaded at first but they caught up pretty quickly. Very nice atmosphere and the view of the deer out on the golf course was also wonderful“

All their cats come from the cat coalition and are for adoption, even if you’re not able to adopt you can still go in and spend time and play with the kitties! “What a gem of a place!!! Went out here to dine with my girlfriends for dinner on a friday night. I did make the reservation on Wednesday for friday at 5:30. I tried for 6:30 i think and they asked if we could accommodate. We did. Its obviously a popular spot for good reason. The server was kind, attentive and helpful. The food was delicious. We came here on recommendation by one of our friends. Afterward we agreed that we would be back again and keep this in the rotation.“

“We had our family Christmas party at Home Team Pub this year, first time at a new place in almost 15 years, with about 80 people in the banquet room. Everything was wonderful, from the planning stages to the night of the party. Diane, Christina, Anne, Randi, Mary Rose, Steve and Mackenzie (I think?) were all so friendly, welcoming and made sure we had everything we need. The even let Santa come visit and hand out presents to all the kids. The room was decorated beautifully and the food was delicious! Highly recommend!“

Then we got the medium size breakfast taco board. Breakfast Taco Board Tacos; Ham, Bacon, Sausage- Flour Tortilla, Scrambled Eggs, Avocado, Sour Cream, Cheddar Cheese, Pico De Gallo, Pickled Jalapeños, Grilled Pineapple, Fresh Fruit. They have summer leagues for volleyball and kickball that I enjoy doing and my parents love Bike Nights on Thursdays. The food is good and the staff is very friendly.
