Super affordable and convenient as well, and they answered any and every question they had. Our special day was made even better thanks to the wonderful work of their staff and the beautiful scenery of their venue. My guests and family were overjoyed and welcomed happily by all of them, and I’m incredibly grateful! “Visited Garvan’s today for the first time for a late lunch in the Pub. We started with Mexican Street Carrots. So delicious! My husband had the traditional Irish breakfast and I had the lamb stew. I opted for the half portion of Chicken Sandoval. The half portion was plenty and the dish was tasty! A great spot to eat in the Village and even re-connect with with an "old" friend.“

“Conveniently located off the highway and near our hotel, we are so glad we stopped at this diner. The decor is hip and very clean. The service is great. Very efficient. The portions were huge. “We all arrived hungry to a shockingly full parking lot. As an ex-industry person I can say we got our table touched 20 times here which was nice, but actually as a diner maybe a bit too much especially if the table touches didn't result in the proper service. It was a dark and stormy spring Saturday night, we arrived at 630, a half hour early for our reservation but were seated promptly. It took zero minutes for who appeared to be the bartender to ask us for our drink orders, while she remembered the wine and bourbon orders she forgot my hot tea even after we had a whole conversation about it. When our actual waitress arrived I had to reorder the tea and the timing on the warm up had about already passed. That being said I often order hot tea before dinner and it was pretty awesome that the hot water came in a separate metal mini kettle along with the tiniest tea cup in North America. It reminded me of Europe actually the tea cup was sooo small, maybe 4oz but the kettle had another 24oz of super hot water for me which kept me very happy throughout the meal.

I didn't get my honey with it though even though I ordered it twice with two people now. I was about to have to ask for the honey when the bartender ran it over before I could but then... no spoon. Not a spoon anywhere on the table actually, I gave up and used my fork for the night in the tea. When we were approached and my 80+yr old mother began to order our mains the waitress cut her off and left mid order bc she said the kitchen was calling her. Huge no-no as far as Im concerned, this alone looses them one star forget about the tea.

When she came back we were all happy to learn we all got salads and sides with our entrees, I ordered the schnitzel which was our entire impetus for the visit as I consider myself somewhat of a schnitzel connoisseur. My gf tried to sub mushrooms for her side but when it arrived the waitress had added it as an add'l side and gave her zucchini even though she didn't order it and I witnessed them having a conversation about it.

Our salads all came drowning in dressing with one rock hard tomato, at first I thought it was a full reddish, I love dressing but this was a lot even for me; the dressing was actually really good but strongly recommend ordering dressing on the side at this restaurant. I also got the rice which was very good. The schnitzel came in two pieces with more salad, kind of, just arugula and tomatoes not mentioned on the menu now no dressing haha.

Definitely one of the greasiest schnitzels I've had in all my days which was even more noticeable after I gobbled both of them down with a pool of oil left over on my plate. After being served our entrees we got 7 table touches from various people within 5 minutes. This was a lot, too much as we were finally all just wanting to eat. I didn't ever mention the late tea, missing spoon or drowning salad.

Overall everyone was lovely, the restaurant was nice and (dad had no complaints so) we were happy with our overall experience even though they seemed to be having a giant other party in the other room the whole time; unfortunately I just can't give them 5 stars“

“Not from this area at all but was strolling thought town trying to find a bagel store and ended up here. Saw no bagels so I settled for a sandwhich and got the AE PHI. Let me just say that first bite was marvelous. While we waited we pondered over the pickles and pickled area, and folded to buy their pickles and pickled cauliflower once we saw their first place ribbon for a pickle festival or something like that. Both were great and 10/10. The crunch on my hoagie, the pesto, WOW. As I said I’m not from this area but I would make a hike back up here just to come to franks fresh. 10/10“

“We drove from fishkill after my mom’s chemo treatment in pok … we haven’t been here in a while because it is a drive but we were in pok and we were in the mood for different. We were very happy with the food everything was great we just weren’t happy with the service, we had to ask multiple times for Splenda, the waitress spilled the milk and I used my napkins, she never gave us extra (she had them in her apron) I had to call her over for some then she was taking the finished plates and dropped the butter knife on my mothers foot and never apologized and seen it fall and looked under the table . not sure if the waitress was a bit off her game but we decided to enjoy the food.“

“Okay... first of all - I ordered for take-out and my husband is lucky this food even made it home. The car smelled so good, I wanted to pull over to eat it right there. Both the chowder and stuffed clams had big, tasty pieces of clam. I got the Mac & Cheese with garlic shrimp - there were no less than 20 pieces of roasted cloves which were sweet and delicious. The shrimp was completely deveined and tender. My husband thought the stuffed clams were a little salty, I thought they were perfect, so do what you want with that. I am verily looking forward to my next visit.“

Whether eating in the Cafe or getting take-out we're always happy with the service from the staff. My wife needs gluten free options and this is our favorite place in the area to reliably have great options.

My personal favs are an omelet with spinich, tomato, and feta cheese for breakfast or the fresh caprese sandwich (sometimes I add a burger patty) for lunch/dinner. And the homefries are AMAZING.“

“Me and my wife are breakfast enthusiasts. Whether it is a new Diner or a new restaurant we are always looking for a new breakfast spot. We came here after my wife had a minor dental procedure. There was a little wait but we didn't mind it was like 5 minutes. When we were seated we were greeted by our waitress, Jennifer. She was awesome all morning. Very vibrant personality with great energy. She explained menu items made my wife a special Coffee and made our experience that much better. The food was outstanding. My wife had scrambled eggs with French toast because she could not eat anything super hard and she has been talking about those eggs days after we left. I got an omelette with pancakes and they were very good. The price to food ratio was outstanding. We are looking forward to coming back. We recently moved to the area and sometimes go to a diner or cracker barrel but it think this will be our new go to for breakfast and once we try the lunch or dinner it will be our go to for that as well. “I've been to Dutchess Diner on multiple occasions - all for professional-related networking or rewards during my time at local businesses and we always found it to be a very great and welcoming place to go.

The service is consistently great, food is what you would expect and you will likely come away with multiple meals.

Keep in mind this is a standard all-american eats diner (do forget if they have international cuisine options so someone please correct me), but it is typically a good balance between taste and price.“
