“This gem will bring you back to fancy restaurants of a bygone era. There’s a working fireplace in the center of the dining room. Very romantic! The staff were on it. Very professional and kind. Hubby had the Parmesan crusted swordfish and said it was deliciously moist. I went with the bone in filet. What generous portions! At a steak house this would have been marked up and not come with all the delicious fresh vegetables. Come hungry and leave happy.Parking: Lots of room“

“Overall, the experience there was absolutely wonderful the staff, including the wine connoisseur who help me understand about a new way of making Pino Noir, was friendly and very knowledgeable. Per the waiter, the chef recommended serving our lamb, medium rare however, when I received my mail, it was cooked more of a medium well. I also felt when ordering a dessert cocktail should've been informed it was cold rather than hot. It was delicious, but just a little surprising that it came as a cool beverage as opposed to what I believe to be a hot beverage. Still a wonderful evening and would always recommend to anyone coming to the Hudson Valley to try to see this amazing facility“

“The Falcon is an absolutely wonderful place. Not only is the venue itself great but so is the food, the atmosphere, the museum that they have, the staff, and the support that they offer to the artists that perform there is beyond stellar. The Falcon is well worth a stop.“

“If you are looking for a Great sandwich for a more then reasonable price, you have found your place. The sandwich selection is full of great options, and you won't be disappointed. The Cuban has been my go-to for a quick weekend lunch option. The staff is attentive and friendly, and one gentlemen calls me young man, even though I am sure that I am older then him which leads me to an extensional crisis while I eat my Cuban. I hope that this joint can survive in our sweet little town full of Teeny boppers and hopeless hipsters. Do yourself a favor and grab a sandwich from this place before our only option is a mutant meat sandwich from Amazon grown in a laboratory for 2$ a month for eternity.“

“I work for Madison Square Garden and deal with Customers all night long. Bobbie Sue is the kind of person I want on my team. Not only is she pleasant and professional, but she acknowledged us while being super busy. I am a picky person and always request substitutions. Bobbi Sue was patient and extremely accommodating. The best service I have had in a while. I live 40 minutes away and I will come back just to see her.“

“What an amazing place. Selected it as a venue for a gathering of friends as an upstate/downstate geo midpoint. Food was unbelievably amazing (ordered off appetizer menu, late night menu, but the whole menu looked great), hosts Russ & Helga were warm welcoming and friendly, live music from Ethan Levy was perfect, every server and bartender were top notch. We will definitely be back. This is a rare Hudson Valley jewel that I am so glad we found.“

Drinks were perfect as well as the dessert choices. Dessert, coffee and after meal drinks just added to the whole meal and dining experience. Definitely will recommend and return soon.“

“I stopped here to get a light lunch and for a rest stop during a road trip. Although the listing makes it seem like a food court, it is actually a single ordering counter that offers coffees and a variety of prepared food items. I wanted something light, so I tried the empanadas with chimichurri. Although the portion size was good, the filling tasted like "sloppy Joe" meat, and the sauce was sweet. The restaurant has ample indoor seating, and a nice outdoor deck. Parking is limited, and I was lucky to arrive before the lunchtime crowd.“
“Love working with Bryce & his dedicated team during special events! I am a professional photographer and every time I’ve worked at Novellas I’ve been nothing but comfortable, excited, and warmly welcomed by all staff!Everyone is dedicated to make operations run smoothly and Bryce is fantastic to coordinate with. Every time I have concerns about lighting or need updates throughout the night, Bryce always has an answer, a solution, a smile on his face. “I’ve visited the B-Side Grill a few times before I decided to do this review on it because I felt like they truly deserved a good one.I arrived at the B-Side Grill on a Tuesday at around 2 PM. There was a family of three as well as a group of four younger patrons also inside with room to spare in the form of booths and picnic tables and benches. It has a very apparent outdoor feel.Their menus are creative with quite a few choices covering all the key food areas like wraps, burgers and the like, but mostly standard with quite an array of breakfast items. I decided after looking to try one of the signature Wraps called the Method Man which consisted of Mozzarella, baby spinach, homemade bruschetta, roasted peppers under a balsamic reduction. They also possess some other neat wraps named My Cousin Vinny (Philly Cheese), Apple Bottom Greens (Turkey, apples, bacon, cheddar cheese, chipotle mayo, greens and tomatoes), etc. There is certainly something for everyone on their menu!I was greeted right away and my order was taken almost immediately by a nice young man. He was extremely courteous and attentive during my visit. Each time I’ve visited (maybe 6 times), the entire staff has always been extremely friendly, courteous, and fairly efficient.Compared to others with similar appeal and menus I would say they are more affordable. The chicken fingers (3) and fries at the time was $8.95 & my “Method Man” wrap (and all wraps) was $12.95.The theme inside is quite obviously music being the main ingredient as you can see in the photos. Records everywhere, vintage pieces that give it a real nice design. For me, I enjoyed the atmosphere, but I did give that portion only four stars because it was a bit busy and perhaps maybe looked at as slightly over the top. I would prefer a little more of a clean look and probably keep the ceiling clear. After briefly looking over the extensive menu, I decided to order a Method Man wrap which is one of their signature wraps, as well as some chicken fingers appetizer. I know the wrap is simple enough to make but both came out at the same time and I wasn’t asked what I prefer. Both orders came with a nice sized portion of fries, which I must say are much better than many I’ve tasted at other restaurants . They were not oily or salty, cooked just right for my taste. The Method Man is absolutely delicious and the wrap itself is quite big with only finishing half and taking half home after eating all of the chicken fingers and one order of fries. It is easy to see that all the veggie parts of my wrap as well as the cheese was super fresh, light and very tasty. The chicken fingers were definitely on the upper level of quality as compared to all the others that I’ve had before. Cooked correct and brought to the table with the right temperature so I could eat soon after it arrived.I would absolutely recommend both dishes. On other occasions I’ve usually had breakfast, which in my opinion is what this small venue is known in town for. They always have a large number of take out orders lined up and are usually very busy in that regard. It does contain a small bathroom for customers which I thought was very good, stocked well. I would just recommend they do weekly dusting at the top since it was very apparent they had not. However, the restaurant in general was very clean and seemed well taken care of.I left feeling full, leftovers in hand and my wallet wasn’t much lighter at all.If you are in the town of New Paltz and on Main Street I would absolutely recommend them for breakfast and perhaps lunch!“

“This is a wonderful place to eat!! We were visiting the area, and wanted a place that was somewhat unique. It was perfect!!! The atmosphere, music, and the food was delicious!! I had the scallops, and my husband had the pasta carbonara. Both were exceptional. Our server was attentive and kind. He made great recommendations. Finally, the owner made an effort to say hello, and check that all was well. What else can I say…it was the perfect date night experience.“

“Excellent local casual restaurant. We’ve only been here twice in the past five years, mostly recently March 2024. This past visit we had the steak cafe salad, which was delicious. We also split the garlic bread, which was a very smart inventive take on it, cubing the pieces which made it much more enjoyable of a bite rather than ripping apart or gnawing away at a big loaf. Service was friendly and timely. Cute place and nice atmosphere. Nicely located by the restaurants and shops.“

“What's not to love? This Wappingers spot is right in town, they serve up tasty food, quality beverages, and the staff will treat you well. The bar is quite nice, and definitely clean. Even better, when it's nice outside, there's an adorable back deck that's perfect for sipping a cider, or one of their serious selection of craft beers on tap. There are also cocktails available, but they seem to truly care about the tap selection. Right now they've got a 16% ABV stout out of Brooklyn on tap, which is downright dangerous. This seems like the rare bar that not only fries things well, but it also cares about the rest of its menu too. No one is ever sad about bang bang shrimp and chicken fingers and fries (we order like adults around here), but the salads are very solid as well. There are even vegetarian and vegan options for your friends who aren't quite as meaty (technical term). And that's all I have to say about that.“

“A really nice coffee shop off the beaten path in New Paltz. They have a good menu with all your typical drinks with some seasonal specials. I highly recommend the amaretto and campfire specials. They served baked goods and food and both are fresh and tasty. It is a smaller space with limited seating. I personally love the back porch. It is a bit colder outside, but the view makes it worth it. Service is decently paced unless it's Uber busy, then it could be a bit slower, but it's not anything too extremely long. Staff are quite friendly. Would recommend“

“Love this little bar. There's even a small balcony with a view to the Gunks, and a little raised bed of herbs that the bartender uses for drinks... so fresh lavender in your cocktail...be still my senses, only one at a time please! “Dive bar in Highland, NY. It's worth the visit for sure. Hospitality is great as the owner Sal came around and greeted us. The waitress was on point. “Googled a good sports bar and this was the number one option. It's a indoor golf/whiskey bar more than a sports bar but drinks are good and cheap. “Yesterday, my sorority alumni met at Maggie Mae's for our fall luncheon. My seat had the perfect view of changing fall leaves. The weather here on Long Island was absolutely horrible. When I set out on my road trip upstate, I almost turned around and went home. I am so glad that I didn't! Not only did I share some funny memories and have some good laughs with my sisters of all ages, but I had an incredible lunch, followed by a dessert that almost literally blew me away! I'll post the pictures, but I'll tell you that I had a delicious chicken francaise with asparagus and the most wonderful mashed potatoes. I saved most of the potatoes for last, with a fair bit of the sauce. I only wish that I had brought a rubber scraper with me so I could get every last delicious speck of mashed potatoes. Then came my favorite part: dessert! The menu describesit as a rich chocolate Guinness cake with cream cheese frosting. Yelp reader, I am a Guinness girl. However, I could not begin to conceptualize how the two flavors would work together. Not only did they work together wonderfully, but the cream cheese frosting put an interesting sweet little twist on the flavor. I have a terrible sweet tooth. and when I find a sweet that I like, I just can't get enough of it. I wish I could have another piece of that cake right now...“

“I don't get to go here often, but man, their subs are the bomb. It feels like an old school deli and i love it. They slice the meat off fresh pretty much right onto your sub. The price is about the same as the average for the Hudson valley. Between $8-10.“

“This is a diner that does not limit itself to typical diner fare. The menu is large, and this restaurant is bursting with ambition to reach some lofty goals. “This place is such a hidden gem of the Hudson valley. You can walk right past it thinking it’s just an old building from the exterior, but walk inside and you will be delightfully surprised. “Great Food and Service. The bad Loud Country Western Music deflated the experience. We did ask the waitress to turn down the volume and they did, but the annoying joke was where is the Mechanical Bull in this upper quality dining experience?!? “What a hidden gem! Henry’s at the Farm is such an amazing find- went here for a friend’s Bachelorette Brunch- I live only 25 minutes away and I wish I knew this place existed sooner— everyone loved their food and drinks- I am the hard one in the group since I have some dietary restrictions and the server was a champ and made some suggestions of changes to some dishes and meal was perfect- everyone loved their cocktails- and mocktails which were creative and beautifully presented. The service was great- the dining room and bar were beautiful and the grounds and farm also gorgeous- next time hope to come earlier to explore the property more- what an amazing place! Looking forward to the next occasion to return.Dietary restrictions: The server helped me navigate the menu and helped me figure out substitutions and dishes that I could have- super helpful.“
