“Well, we visited as part of a food tour of NY. Being quite frank, if we had been by ourselves we might well have walked right past Mamoun's; it doesn't have the greatest frontage, and some might be put off.
But oh, my! Get in there and have yourself the best falafel around. We've travelled to many parts of north Africa and the Middle East and I can honestly say that this is the best falafel we have had - especially with that brutally gorgeous hot sauce (two bottles purchased to take back to the UK).
Definite revisit required!“

The food was fresh, flavorful, and served hot—I could tell they really care about quality. Prices were reasonable, especially considering the generous portions. The menu had a great variety, so whether you’re in the mood for something light or hearty, you’ll find it here. Definitely one of the best lunch spots in the area. I’ll be coming back often!“

“Amazing service and amazing food! Highly suggest the spicy lamb as well as the chicken shawarma platters. Pita, hummus, rice, and all of their sauces were the bomb. Our server was extremely friendly and we were even given a free baklava sample.“

“Waiter came over as we were mid entree and politely (and somewhat embarrassed) told us their weekend policy was to turn tables in 60-90 minutes so we only had a few minutes left and that if we wanted dessert, we needed to order it right then. Then in the middle of dessert another staff member basically came over, handed us the bill, and told us another party was waiting for our table and that we needed to pay and leave. We love the restaurant and have been there many times, but this was an appalling way to treat guests. I don't think I've ever experienced this at another restaurant. It will make me think twice before coming there again.“

“My husband gets their food all the time for lunch and yesterday I met up with him while he was on break. I got the falafel plate and my god! The falafels were so fresh and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the veggies were fresh and really brought life to the dish. The owner and his son were so nice. I cannot recommend enough!“
