Still, I definitely will go back to this place! And I'll add that I was impressed with their cocktails. They were pleasantly potent, and well crafted!“

“Yummy seafood. Good date night. It was a week day, so not so busy. I was told it was difficult to get in on weekends. I had mussels as an appetizer and some kind of chicken dish (basically chicken piccata) with risotto on the side. The mussels were amazing, and they had like a broth and toast on the side. I had in mind the chicken would be a little different, but my husband thought it was really good. The risotto was creamy and flavorful. I decided I needed a vegetable, so I ordered some broccoli. They cooked it butter with some garlic slivers, and that broccoli was just delicious. I was stuffed after that, and had that broccoli taste for a little while. Amazing.“

“I went to the restaurant for my husband's BD with 2kids on Sat night. We waited for 25 mins to be seated with reservation. It was very crowded and a bit noisy. We ordered fried calamari, beef slider, 3 trio Mac & Cheese as appetizer and a porter house for three. Everything was very tasty and beyond my expectation around in this neighborhood. Except the desert for which we ordered hazelnut cake and pistachio cake. Not my favorite. Overall I'm so happy to have NYC quality steakhouse in my neighborhood!“

“Bardonia Oriental is consistently our favorite go-to place for Chinese food. The chicken is most often quite delicious and tender, regardless of the dish that it's placed with. I'm most often preferred chicken with broccoli however I had chicken with Chinese vegetables last night and found it to be absolutely scrumptious! The beef with snow peas is delicious as well. One of our dear friends is Chinese and she refuses to eat Chinese food anywhere but there if that's any indication of the quality of their food. The egg rolls can be hit or miss at times having so much grease they're impossible to consume and other times being so delicious I would eat multiples if I had them! There thick Chinese noodles are rarely greasy and always delicious especially with duck sauce. We prefer the mustard that comes in a container to the hot sauce in a package. I would not recommend requesting sauce on the side as I have done a times because somehow the chicken and broccoli become overdone. Overall, as I've said there isn't any other Chinese restaurant in Rockland County that has earned my respect and is much repeat business as Bardonia Oriental. I forgot to mention how much we enjoyed the crab with cream cheese appetizer! They are very good at following specific orders so if you like your vegetables al dente to preserve the nutrients and simply let them know how long you would like to cook it the vegetables. Otherwise the broccoli tends to be somewhat soggy. With a little bit of accommodation and finagling and won't improved consistency for the egg rolls, I would delightfully add the extra star all the way! If you would like your vegetables to preserve maximum nutritional value, I would recommend requesting them to be a little hard. And definitely not mushy.“

“I decided to get Wanna Empanada for my son's 4th birthday party instead of the go-to pizza. Wanna Empanada responded very quickly to me with a catering menu and were so easy to work with. We picked up the empanadas the night before since our party was on a Sunday. They provided instructions on how to reheat and packaged the empanadas so beautifully that we didn't even need to pull out serveware to display them. We ordered 7 different kinds for a total of 78 empanadas and every single one was delicious. We hosted 20 people at our place and were only left with 6 empanadas as leftovers. Our guests insisted on taking leftovers and could not stop eating them. Afterwards, I received texts from our guests telling me how delicious the empanadas were. The outside are the perfect thickness and perfectly crisp and they are STUFFED with filling. No skimping here. We will now be expected to serve empanadas at our gatherings instead of our usual pizza.“

I ended up getting an order of broccoli with oil and garlic to go. We got the bread pudding for dessert without the jack daniels sauce on it. Everything was soooo good. Oh for an appetizer we got the stuffed mushrooms which were sooo good. They had good amount of stuffing, a slight zing to them but the only issue is that they don't have juice or sauce to baste the mushrooms. How can you not have juices for the mushrooms added from cooking? I had the pomegranate martini and I loved it. I usually don't like liquor but this drink was excellent without the liquor overwhelming the drink. I love the salt on the glass, it was very refreshing without being sweet. Santiago, our waiter who we've had on several occasions, was on point as usual with our ordering and seeing if we needed anything else including our drinks, and his assistant Jose Rodriguez was attentive as well in clearing the table, getting the crumbs off the table and then in packing the food. This was the first time we didn't have any liquids dripping all over the inside of the bag. I didn't get the sauteed mushrooms so that might have been helpful. After them bringing the mushrooms cold the last time we were there, I was not interested in testing that again. With this visit being what we are normally used to with the food, we will definitely start going back again. This was such a pleasant surprise because even the steaks were falling below standards in taste as well as looks. Thank You for restoring our faith in your restaurant.“
