“Wowsa what a meal!!! Friends had posted beautiful pics of their meals from their tasting menu. It's cute: half the restaurant is a traditional dining room and the other is take out fish and chips. You can have a delicious meal a la carte or the tasting menu. I could not convince my husband to do the 15 course chef's tasting menu. But we did do the tasting menu with wine. Every dish was light, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. We enjoyed the wine pairings which were different (portuguese and spanish wines rounded out some American and South African wines). I am excited to come back to try more of their traditional menu and their namesake (fish and chips). Well worth a visit.“
“I decided to get Wanna Empanada for my son's 4th birthday party instead of the go-to pizza. Wanna Empanada responded very quickly to me with a catering menu and were so easy to work with. We picked up the empanadas the night before since our party was on a Sunday. They provided instructions on how to reheat and packaged the empanadas so beautifully that we didn't even need to pull out serveware to display them. We ordered 7 different kinds for a total of 78 empanadas and every single one was delicious. We hosted 20 people at our place and were only left with 6 empanadas as leftovers. Our guests insisted on taking leftovers and could not stop eating them. Afterwards, I received texts from our guests telling me how delicious the empanadas were. The outside are the perfect thickness and perfectly crisp and they are STUFFED with filling. No skimping here. We will now be expected to serve empanadas at our gatherings instead of our usual pizza.“

“The hash browns were great!the staff friendly. The didn’t do the change in food we asked for, but that happens everywhere sometimes. The hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benedict tasted a bit “out of a tub”, but again it tastes like that in most restaurants. Overall we were happy and would come again!“

We had it in the restaurant part, as long as you have 50 people or more, you can have the Champagne Brunch. We had about 80! It was one of the best showers ever! UNLIMITED mimosas and champagne, and the buffet goes from breakfast foods, all the way into lunch foods! Everything imaginable from baked ziti, Penne vodka, fresh shrimp, eggplant parm, chicken parm, AND the owner/Chef himself was slicing up fresh Prime Rib!!! The service was impeccable! “Yummy seafood. Good date night. It was a week day, so not so busy. I was told it was difficult to get in on weekends. I had mussels as an appetizer and some kind of chicken dish (basically chicken piccata) with risotto on the side. The mussels were amazing, and they had like a broth and toast on the side. I had in mind the chicken would be a little different, but my husband thought it was really good. The risotto was creamy and flavorful. I decided I needed a vegetable, so I ordered some broccoli. They cooked it butter with some garlic slivers, and that broccoli was just delicious. I was stuffed after that, and had that broccoli taste for a little while. Amazing.“

(See pic) The servers were very professional but still remained personal with us. The ambiance inside gives off vibes like the restaurants over seas which was a nice feeling. “Aries birthday celebrations continued this last Saturday evening, 30th March, at the fabulous KEE Oyster House in White Plains. Upon entering we were warmly greeted and taken care of the entire time. We began with Sonoma Saint Francis Chardonnay, with a splendid array of plump East Coast Oysters, an order of delicious Oysters Rockefeller, and hubs enjoyed his yummy New England clam chowder as he did in 2019. Entrees of: Blackened Tuna with Lime sauce, a silky Grilled Salmon Filet Beurre Blanc with pearls of Salmon Roe, and a large Caesar Salad with grilled Chicken strips. “Bardonia Oriental is consistently our favorite go-to place for Chinese food. The chicken is most often quite delicious and tender, regardless of the dish that it's placed with. I'm most often preferred chicken with broccoli however I had chicken with Chinese vegetables last night and found it to be absolutely scrumptious! The beef with snow peas is delicious as well. One of our dear friends is Chinese and she refuses to eat Chinese food anywhere but there if that's any indication of the quality of their food. The egg rolls can be hit or miss at times having so much grease they're impossible to consume and other times being so delicious I would eat multiples if I had them! There thick Chinese noodles are rarely greasy and always delicious especially with duck sauce. We prefer the mustard that comes in a container to the hot sauce in a package. I would not recommend requesting sauce on the side as I have done a times because somehow the chicken and broccoli become overdone. Overall, as I've said there isn't any other Chinese restaurant in Rockland County that has earned my respect and is much repeat business as Bardonia Oriental. I forgot to mention how much we enjoyed the crab with cream cheese appetizer! They are very good at following specific orders so if you like your vegetables al dente to preserve the nutrients and simply let them know how long you would like to cook it the vegetables. Otherwise the broccoli tends to be somewhat soggy. With a little bit of accommodation and finagling and won't improved consistency for the egg rolls, I would delightfully add the extra star all the way! If you would like your vegetables to preserve maximum nutritional value, I would recommend requesting them to be a little hard. And definitely not mushy.“

“I came here with mymom and son after a VERY long day filled with tubing, hiking and shopping. After eating things on the go all day, we were looking for a nice spot to sit and relax with a good meal. Fireside did not disappoint. The staff was beyond friendly and attentive. The food was incredible. We had the clam chowder amd calamari. The chowder was probably the best I have ever had, and I am very picky. It was so creamy amd fresh. The calamari was fried perfectly, not oily and paired well with their sauce. We had the chicken Fresca and 6 oz lobster tail with twice baked potatoes. Everything was delicious! We could not have been more happy that we chose this restaurant. To top it off, we asked my son what he wanted for dessert and he said he wished they had red velvet. This is one of his favorites but most restaurants never have it. To our surprise, when the waitress came over to tell us desserts that was the first on the list! “FROZEN FISH!! Do NOT recommend! We have been going here for years and loved it. Tonight we took friends who had never been. The food took forever to come(over 15 minutes). When it did, the snow pea leaves were only warm and the duck with mushrooms was dry (in spite of being served lukewarm on a layer of fat). My deep fried whole fish took another 10 minutes and when it arrived it WAS FROZEN under the “crispy skin”. THEY USE FROZEN FISH!?!? I suppose the fish in the tank are for show!! (And it was whisked away with little or no apologizes). After all these years! We were very disappointed and embarrassed.“

“We haven't been to Ruth Chris in a good while because the last time we were there, the whole visit was horrible; not so much by the waiter but by the kitchen and it wasn't really crowded as it could be, no where near that. This visit went off like we are used to having things go and the food to be. We both got the filet mignon and it was a nice cut seasoned well and a good amount of butter sauce, the mashed potatoes which looked so buttery and softly whipped and broccoli steamed. I ended up getting an order of broccoli with oil and garlic to go. We got the bread pudding for dessert without the jack daniels sauce on it. Everything was soooo good. Oh for an appetizer we got the stuffed mushrooms which were sooo good. They had good amount of stuffing, a slight zing to them but the only issue is that they don't have juice or sauce to baste the mushrooms. How can you not have juices for the mushrooms added from cooking? I had the pomegranate martini and I loved it. I usually don't like liquor but this drink was excellent without the liquor overwhelming the drink. I love the salt on the glass, it was very refreshing without being sweet. Santiago, our waiter who we've had on several occasions, was on point as usual with our ordering and seeing if we needed anything else including our drinks, and his assistant Jose Rodriguez was attentive as well in clearing the table, getting the crumbs off the table and then in packing the food. This was the first time we didn't have any liquids dripping all over the inside of the bag. I didn't get the sauteed mushrooms so that might have been helpful. After them bringing the mushrooms cold the last time we were there, I was not interested in testing that again. With this visit being what we are normally used to with the food, we will definitely start going back again. This was such a pleasant surprise because even the steaks were falling below standards in taste as well as looks. Thank You for restoring our faith in your restaurant.“
