“We decide to celebrate our thanksgiving meal at the Port Ewen diner. Meal was excellent! Moist turkey with all the fixings! I guarantee you don’t go home hungry eating here. Our waitress, Ruthie was very kind and tentative to our needs. Can’t wait to go back!!

“I had their pizza once, after being unimpressed with one of their competitors -- and now I'm a Mario's fan for life. Pizzas are generously sized, prepared with an abundance of toppings, and reasonably priced. The pizza is so good, I haven't explored the menu much. But they also sell ricotta cheesecake a delicately flavorful, mildly sweet, lighter-textured cheesecake. Genuinely Italian.”

“This is our go to bar every time we visit from Florida. Amazing craft cocktails without the pretentiousness of other craft cocktail bars. Friendly owner/host Paul as well as his staff. Warm chill vibe and eclectic music selection. Also a nice selection of light snacks/finger food. Definitely a must visit when you’re in Kingston.”

“It's a perfect hideaway from the world nestled at the top of the hill in Woodstock. An intimate setting with an entire upstairs that boasts retro arcade games. Though that's not only reason for going.

The cocktail program boasts several spins on classics that are thoughtfully put together & a selection of classics that every bartender should know & execute flawlessly. Mark, the owner has taken pride in his work & it shows with the layout of the bar to the curated selection of premium spirits from smaller producers.

We tried for years & couldn't find a single venue in Woodstock, let alone most of Ulster County that knew how to make a Vieux Carre, a Sazerac, an Improved Whiskey Cocktail, or even a Naked Famous & few if any can or do.

The bar has been here about a year & deserves so much more love & attention from the community. If you haven't been, you're missing out.”

“From the moment you walk in, it's a vibe. The throwback wallpaper to the animals on the wall help paint a picture and warm you up for a great night. The manager Stacey is friendly and knowledgeable and makes you feel like home. The Pale Ale is delicious and my favorite of the selections. The night we were there there was also music from the local band the Beer Flies - it was the icing on the cake for a great night. I look forward to returning in the future and would recommend this place to all.”

Recommend the kale caesar salad and the cauliflower wings. One criticism I’d give the buffalo wings is that they should be spicier. But they’re good for those who don’t like heat. The vegan nachos are also really good.”

“Mountain Gate has the best Indian food in the Hudson Valley by far, probably even the entire state. Absolutely love coming here! The chicken vindaloo is always my go-to dish, and my husband loves the shrimp curry. Food is always fresh and just spicy enough. Beautiful decor and super friendly waitstaff.
