“CheLi in Flushing is legit amazing. That squirrel fish? Super crispy, sweet, tangy — straight-up addicting. The place looks gorgeous too, like old-school China but super clean and chill. Service was on point. Honestly, I’d come back just for that fish.“

“For around $26, we got a large bowl of sauerkraut fish and two bowls of rice, which were brought to us by a little robot. The bowl was large enough for two people, so the price was very good for the portion. They also have a whole menu for bubble tea, so you can enjoy some with your meal. I got one in case the food was too spicy, but it wasn’t really spicy even at the highest level, especially compared to other similar restaurants in the city. Overall we had a cheap and enjoyable meal that I would be down to return to for casual eats.“

“Located in front of Paris Baguette, the BBQ truck has some of the best skewers I've ever tried. They transport you to the heart of Xinjiang with its local flavors, grilled in front of you. My two favorites were the lamb and beef skewers, and the chicken skewers were also very delicious.“

“Han Dynasty has landed in LIC! 🌶️ Famous across NYC for its bold Sichuan flavors, this new spot serves up dishes that hit all the right notes—spicy, numbing, savory, and aromatic. The Fish Dry Pot is a must-try for anyone who loves a punch of heat, while the Braised Beef Noodles are equally irresistible. With its stunning décor, extensive menu, and lively vibe, this is the perfect spot for flavor-packed dining in the city. 🍜✨“

“WARNING: They have recently stopped including complimentary white rice with any order. Prices are already insane. Yes, even that $80 hot pot does not include complimentary white rice.
This use to be my go to because their food was GOOD. After last night , my boyfriend and I got mild food poisoning, the kung pao chicken was a fishy brown sauce with no sweet or tangy ( maybe there was just a mistake in the order) and with a $55 order no white rice side, at some point the prices just do not justify the food anymore and this is where I’ve reached my thresh hold. I’m nit sure if the restaurant changed hands or the chef is different. Perhaps I’ll come back another time in the future but I’ll take a break for now.“

“I have been coming to sweet yummy house for over 12 years now and it remains one of my favorite places, hands down. I’m a chef and Chinese, and have been eating around NYC for over 24 years. The dishes to get are: twice cooked pork, whole tilapia with bean paste (it’s a famous dish), pork with garlic sauce, three cup chicken, just to name a few! You won’t be disappointed!“

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“The dishes are very flavorful and delicious but lacking in fish slices. The soup goes very well with the unlimited rice!!!
The waitresses aren’t very attentive so you will have to flag them down and ask them for more rice.“

“Juqi was a nice dining experience. Most of the dishes when served were presented in a way to elevate one's dining experience. I was there for a birthday dinner and we were seated in a room. The table felt small at first but the waitstaff knew what to do that it never felt too crowded. Besides the food being good the waitstaff were consistent with changing plates and bringing the next course. Some of the dishes that stood out was the beef and tomato soup, the duck, the black rice that is set on fire (the aroma was pleasing where you're not sure what ingredients were put in) The soups were presented in a small ceramic bowl and tea lights were put underneath to keep it warm. This was a set menu and because there was a lot of food it was hard to keep track. Overall a good dinner out and a nice place for all group sizes to celebrate a special occasion or just a nice evening out.“

“If you’re ever out early in Flushing and wondering where to grab something warm and comforting, Yin Ji Chang Fen 銀記腸粉 on Prince Street is a quiet lifesaver. Most places in the area don’t open until later in the morning, but Yin Ji opens bright and early at 8:00 AM which already makes it stand out. We came in with groggy eyes and empty stomachs, and the warm, friendly service immediately made the early wake-up worth it.
We started with two drinks that are absolute staples of Hong Kong breakfasts: iced lemon Ribena and red bean ice. The Ribena had that signature sweet-tangy blackcurrant flavor balanced out by slices of fresh lemon—cold, refreshing, and nostalgic. The red bean ice was smooth and light, just sweet enough without feeling heavy. Both reminded me of corner cafés back in Hong Kong where these drinks are practically a ritual.
We ordered quite a bit—because it’s one of those menus where everything feels familiar and you just can’t choose. The curry combo came with fish balls, pig skin, and squid. All the textures played so well together—the fish balls were bouncy, the squid was tender with a nice bite, and the pig skin soaked up all the curry like a sponge. The curry sauce wasn’t overpowering or too spicy, but had that classic HK-style warmth that clings to the ingredients just right.
The soy sauce fried noodles were simple and classic. No bells and whistles, just that beautiful wok hei aroma, the slight crisp on the edges, and the perfect chew. This is one of those dishes you’ve probably eaten a thousand times, but when done well, it hits every time. Add a little chili oil if you like spice—it elevates it without masking the flavor.
The fish congee was smooth, mild, and incredibly comforting. There’s something about Hong Kong-style congee—it’s not just boiled rice, it’s coaxed into this silky, thick texture that feels nourishing. The fish was fresh and soft, with no fishy aftertaste, and it melded right into the porridge.
Then came the stars of the show: the rice rolls, or 腸粉. We tried the beef and shrimp, the pure shrimp, and the classic one with peanut sauce, hoisin, and sesame. You could tell these were made fresh—the rice sheets were thin, soft, and delicate, with just enough bounce. The fillings were juicy and well-seasoned. The peanut-hoisin one, especially, brought back a rush of nostalgia those sweet, nutty, slightly savory flavors are childhood in a bite. This one’s not just about taste it’s texture, smell, and memory, all at once.
These dishes aren’t just about filling you up. In Hong Kong, breakfast like this is deeply tied to routine and rhythm. Whether it’s a quick bite at a street stall or a quiet morning with congee and tea, meals like this are built on years of tradition. And what’s special about Yin Ji is how it preserves that feeling. You don’t just get the flavors—you get the pace, the calm, the care in the way everything is made and served.
There’s no flashy plating, no gimmicks. Just honest food, done properly. And when the server checks in on you with a smile or offers a suggestion like you’re a regular, it makes you want to come back. Not just to eat, but to feel that again. Yin Ji may be small and unassuming, but it’s exactly the kind of place that makes mornings better.“

“Tasty old Korean Chinese style! Don’t trust google rate 100%. Many times, rates don’t represent their whole qualities. Personally I care taste first for restaurants. Some folks just focus the rates only instead of tastes. Try this store if you care taste first“

“This is my newest favorite in the wonton restaurant in New York. It is a tiny place, but the free tea is hot. I had the "trio" wonton with noodles, with additional vegetables, which are tender baby yuchoy. The trio wonton were all very good, but I can't say I could distinguish among the three types. All had crunchy shrimp, one said had watercress, although I couldn't figure which. The added vegetables, for an extra $2, was well worth it. The vegetable portion was large enough to merit a second bowl. It was a bargain at $12.50. I liked it so much that I ordered the same a few days later. The 3rd time I visited, I ordered wonton with stewed beef and with added vegetable. Again, it was very good, but the vegetable portion was significantly reduced, but the beef portion was large (very large for someone who rarely eats meat). I ordered this dish twice also.“

“Wow. Lemme just say this restaurant is my new favorite in all of Flushing, let alone the best Hunan restaurant in America. Spicy lovers this will definitely hit home with the boiled sauerkraut fish, braised lamb and minced meat with peppers. The brown sugar glutinous rice is to die for. Will be back very soon, probably tomorrow.“

“I've been to a lot of hotpot restaurants in the city. BeiJin Hotpot is a very average hotpot place. It's good, but hotpot is always good. Nothing exceptional for the price. The meat was good, maybe if we ordered different types of meat we would've had a better experience. There's nothing wrong with our dinner; we were just a bit disappointed. All in all, for the price range there are better places to go to.“

“Classic Fuzhou snack bars, such as pot-side paste, dried taro and duck powder, flat pork, mixed noodles, etc. are all original. I like beef offal rice noodles the best.
The store is also very clean. There are not many seats after the epidemic.
The front desk is quick and not necessarily very patient, but the person is pretty nice. The service is pretty good.“

“The store's handmade ramen is the most famous. Its beef noodles are very good and is everyone's first choice. The peanut butter spicy oil noodles are also very tasty and are our second choice. The scallion pancakes are also fried very crispy. Their soy sauce is Sweet soy sauce. General Tso's chicken is a favorite choice for children. The food is served quickly and the service is good at a reasonable price. Will come back again.“

“My family have been regulars for > 8 years. Its authetic Hunan flavors with enough variety for vegetarias and vegans too. Thankfully they are able to tone down the spiciness to the right amount when requested. We have many favorite dishes such as grileed fish with black bean sauce, sizzling beef steak, cumin beef, sauteed eggplant, triple bamboo, cucumber with scallion sauce, tomatoes and eggs, steam dumplings etc. I read some of the negative reviews and i have never experienced any of that. My parents and I come here almost every sunday for the past several months. Food is consistently good, prices are average or better then some of the other restaurants in Flushing. The wait staff are very attentive and nice. The owner always greets us warmly when he sees us. Give it a try !“

“This place was delicious. The noodles were the perfect amount of chewy. The flavors were perfect. The dumblings we're so flavorful you didn't need dipping sauce. We got noodles in chili sauce and beef brisket noodles. Both were delicious, the meat was so tender in the beef brisket. I did wish the noodles in chili oil was a little spicer. But maybe I look to white for the full spice version, 🤣. The person who runs the place and takes your order is so kind. She was able to negotiate us a place to sit. It was busy when we got there, only a few tables in total. Service was quick, and this place is busy. Totally worth it. This place is definitely a gem and I am sure we will be back.“

“This restaurant specializes in Northeastern Chinese cuisine, a style that's not commonly found in Chinese restaurants across the U.S.
Compared to Sichuan, Cantonese, or Shanghai cuisine, Northeastern dishes are known for their bold flavors and generous portions, especially the stews and hot pots that are uniquely characteristic of the region.
This restaurant does an excellent job of showcasing the authentic flavors of Northeastern Chinese food, offering some dishes that are hard to find elsewhere. The portions are substantial, so you don't need to order too much to enjoy a hearty meal.“
