“Love this spot- brought my parents who were visiting from out of town. Even in January they still find a way to find the most ripe and flavorful tomatoes. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared and served. Family owned and operated - nothing more iconically Astorian :)“

“Five of us had a party on Saturday evening. The tavern was quite busy which reflected on service (our waiter wasn't present all the time). But I can understand that.
The space itself doesn't look like a typical Greek tavern, but high ceiling, good furniture and an appropriate lighting are definitely worth mentioning.
The food is good, but some portions are too small. For example, Greek salad is very tasty, but the portion is way too small. The same goes for grilled saganaki. In addition, our lamb chops were served well-done, although we asked for medium. On the other hand, our red snapper was great.
Restrooms are too small for a restaurant with this capacity.
The wine list should be MUCH better.
Overall, it wasn't a bad experience. And the prices are very reasonable to be honest.
However, if I compare the food and portions with some other Greek taverns in Astoria I have to admit there are better options.“

“Yo!!!! This place is so good. The host or maître D or whatever you wanna call him was like the most gracious person ever! Treated me and this hot girl that I’m currently seeing like we were family. Offered us some free Uzo drinks, which I’ve never had but now I’m throwing back like a bottle a week! Anyway, the food was off the hook. Please, please please don’t even get me started on the riblets!! I probably crushed like four orders spent my whole paycheck. Worth it!“

Food was okay, definitely better options in Astoria and better priced, but portion sizes were very generous. The only dish we really didn’t like was the octopus, they serve it cold and had a funny after taste but everything else was good. Dakos salad was nice and ribeye was perfectly cooked. Lavraki was tasty“

“Went on a Friday night without a reservation, grabbed a drink at the bar, and were seated within 10–15 minutes
Food:
• Zucchini chips: Thin, crispy, and lightly salted, golden and addictive. Very close to my all-time favorites.
• Spicy feta dip: Creamy with a balanced heat; rich but not overwhelming.
• Grilled octopus: Surprisingly tender with a subtle char and bright. Not something I usually order, but I’d absolutely get it again.
• Branzino: Moist, flaky, and deeply flavorful, super light
• Rice: Fragrant and savory - unexpectedly excellent.
• Lemon potatoes: perfect with a bold citrus punch.
Service: Warm, attentive, and efficient from start to finish.
A true standout and an easy repeat. Officially added to my list of favorite Greek restaurants.“

“We have enjoyed Sea Salt on past visits. This time our order was pre cooked. We ordered medium rare cheeseburgers and we received warmed up versions with cheese not melted instead of the fresh cooked ones in the past. It was disappointing. The rest of lunch was great. Service was superb.“

“Their lamb/beef gyro was really good. The bowl was stuffed! The wait was a bit long though, almost 25+ minutes just to get to order, and sometimes other people (I assume related) just cut in to throw in 5 or 10 other orders. The food came out very fast at least and I enjoyed my bowl. I see they have an online ordering site, so I may try that next time to reduce the wait. Would love to try the other items.“

“Family Corner is an amazing cozy family restaurant that my friends & fam have been going to for decades! It’s like “Cheers” where everyone knows each other’s name! The food is made fresh homemade with ♥️Love everyday! Their food is so tasty and the portions are generous. The staff & owner makes you feel part of their family. It’s intimate diner throw back to another time atmosphere is refreshing! The traditional Greek food is out of this world and very reasonably priced. And it has a thriving takeout/ delivery business. Neighborhood eateries like The Family Corner - is what makes our Astoria community great!!!“

“My first time trying Greek food! It was a warm welcoming by the owner Michael! He was very generous in service and the staff did an amazing job cooking my meals! The Let’s Go Burger was delicious (VIP early access on this menu item! 😏) . I then was served the family platter (aka welcome to the family platter) which was delicious! The steak, chicken and lamb were cooked perfectly, the pita bread was nice and crispy and the vegetables were fresh and delicious! Not to mention the sauces they provided on the side were a nice addition to the meal. The white wine was also very smooth and nice! (St. Elias Assyrtiko). “I love Pi I enjoy getting my Greek frappe and other coffees from Pi. The pastries are exceptional and if you want to have lunch, you can also have fantastic Greek dishes. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the coffees and food that they serve. I go to Pi every time I’m in that neighborhood.“

“If you’re looking for a cool fun vibe, this is a great place to go! The music was on point and the atmosphere was great!
The food was just okay. Small menu and the food was not amazing! We did a few apps like Saganaki (tasted dry), the hummus/feta/tziki trio.. just okay (the spicy feta was the only thing that had a burst of flavor) and we got the meatballs.
The drinks were great. Got the pineapple martini signature drink and another one with cucumber and gin and both were delicious!“

“I had such a great time at this Greek restaurant! Our server, George the Greek, was absolutely fantastic—so friendly, funny, and full of personality. I laughed so much during the meal, and he made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming.
The food was incredibly tasty, too. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. I left completely satisfied and already planning my next visit.

“Christos Souvlaki Stand is a gold mine and I say that because there isn't a day that there isn't a swarm of customers gathered here. His souvlaki is the absolute best within the Astoria area!
It's always so fresh, well seasoned and prepared right in front of you and can be topped with whatever sauce you want - my go to is the BBQ sauce.

“We were there in December and came across Symposium while walking. We were impressed by the cozy atmosphere and the amazing service we received. Our server knew a lot about the history of the restaurant and was helpful in suggesting a wine with dinner. The hummus, lemon potatoes and steamed vegetables were all very savory! I highly recommend and we will be back next time in NYC!“

“I came here for the chicken cheeseburger and fries, and both were really good -fresh, flavorful, and just the kind of comfort food you want. The service was friendly and the place feels cozy, nothing fancy but nice quality. I also tried the baklava since they didn’t have cheesecake that day. It was okay, maybe 6/10, not something I’d order again. But for sure, if you come here, get the chicken cheeseburger with fries , that’s the real highlight“
