“Here's the review Spencer wrote for you: My family and I just visited to celebrate my grandsons birthday- we like to get a bunch of plates and share family style and this menu was perfect for that. You have to get mezze and extra bread (must try the kubane). We also ended up getting three orders of the shishbarak for the six of us, it is way too good! I got the salmon for my entree which was cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned. Spencer our server recommended the silan and the cheesecake for dessert so we shared those and boy were they something special- I can’t pick a favorite! He brought us a candle and we got some great pictures. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.“

I thought the Spicy Monkfish was very flavorful and good and the dolsot albap was surprisingly very tasty. Im usually not the biggest fan of albap but this was not too fishy and the crispy rice on the bowl was very pleasant and went well with the dish.
Duck bulgogi probably least special and ok to skip but not bad.“

“Grabbed takeout from Lucky Rabbit Noodles in Dumbo today for me and my best friend and I'm still thinking about it. Dean at the front absolutely made the experience. His energy is so warm and welcoming, and when I asked what to order he didn't miss. Every single recommendation was a 10/10.

We got the noodles, the house dumplings, and the lychee lemonade. All of it is incredible. The noodles have that perfect chew, the dumplings might be the best I've had in Brooklyn, and the lychee lemonade is so good I'm genuinely mad at myself for not ordering a second round.

Great food, great vibes, and staff that make you feel taken care of even on a takeout order. Already planning my next visit. Ask for Dean's recs, you won't regret it!“

“Had dinner at Tavern 157 with friends last night and had such a great experience! The atmosphere was beautiful, and the service was excellent. Definitely try the foie gras uni and oysters. They also have an amazing happy hour menu—perfect for a night out with friends!“

“This place is amazing. We tried the fava bean hummus - bursting with flavor and garlic forward (which I enjoy). The steak and grits was so buttery and delicious as well. “Absolutely wonderful — hands down one of the best meals of the trip. Every dish we ordered was excellent: the watermelon salad, tuna, mandu, steak and potatoes, tteokbokki, and the sesame bread and butter pudding were all full of flavor and beautifully presented.

I loved the Korean-fusion small-plates concept — creative, shareable and really well executed. The cocktails were also excellent.

We sat at the bar for a 5 p.m. dinner before a 7 p.m. show, and the timing was perfect. Service was sharp, everything came out at just the right pace, and the bar had such a lively, engaging atmosphere with great conversation from the team.

Their menu has changed through the years but I’d say right now their food is great! I love their Tahchin and Chicken (the tomato and onion on the side is delightful).

We all had the tasting menu and there was NOT ONE MISS on any of the dishes. 9 courses, two desserts to share and a little extra amuse of delicious gazpacho to start. “Went here on a whim to celebrate our friends special ocassion. The interior is nicely decorated and quiet. We ordered some patatas bravas, cheese and ham platter, white sangria and the chicken! Our food was brought our promptly and we enjoyed our food and drinks. The plates were easily shareable among 4 people and the food was good. The star was definitely the chicken. I'm not sure what they put in that chicken or how they cooked it but it was delicious. One of our friends declared ir the best chicken he's had in his life.

My only complaint would be how noisy the dining areas are- it's a popular place so it's always packed, and the subway tile on the walls bounces the voices and noise. It's also hard to get a table, and reservations are competitive, but it is worth it!“

“I went to Plado for the first time last night with a couple of friends who had already been there several times and raved about it. They were not wrong to rave! The food was simply superb. Every dish was an experience to savor. It actually made me stop and slow down so I could enjoy what was happening in my mouth. Everything had various levels of flavor that made the experience worthwhile. I can’t wait to go back and try more. Standouts for me were hard to choose but if I had to, the taro gnocchi, duck confit, and roasted carrots were my favorite. A few of us did the Rana Table brunch and we were not prepared. It’s a full family style feast and it just keeps coming. Borek, marinated beyaz cheese, kizartma, artichoke spread, Izmir pine honey with kaymak, soujuk, menemen… dish after dish of incredibly fresh, flavorful Aegean food. All for $35 a person. Unreal value.

This is a unforgettable Brooklyn gem. Get the Rana Table, come hungry, you will not regret it.“

“Found Poppy’s through reviews when we were wandering the lower east side. Had late brunch at the bar. The place was fairly empty as many restaurants were this last mid July weekend in the city, but one of the owners was out bartender and server. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Leonora who shared restaurant recommendations and talked about how she had wanted to create a locals spot with Poppy’s and she has accomplished that. Many repeat customers. Talking so much I forgot to take photos of the food. I had the avocado toast which was great and generous. My partner had the omelette, also good.
