“The young man working here was very accommodating and made me feel welcome. He put together two sandwiches for me that were delicious; an egg everything bagel with cream cheese, lox, tomato and onion to share. Came with a side salad. Chose the cucumber salad which was fantastic. Was so good I decided to try a Greek omelette on a sesame oat bagel. Excellent as well. Prices reasonable and not ridiculous like other places. Proof that how friendly and helpful you are to customers makes a huge difference.“

The hero roll was just right (fresh and not too hard or dry) Having breakfast food delivered can be iffy (at your own risk) but the Hungryman I ordered from Bagel City Co. was excellent, best I've had since moving to the Smithtown area.“

“Delicious, made to order bagels, at a reasonable price. The shop was clean and well stocked. The staff was kind and efficient. I would highly recommend this bagel shop. “It doesn't matter what day of the week you going to this place they're always a bunch of friendly professional people here to help you get exactly what you want to eat first thing in the morning or in the afternoon. I usually get my coffee and bagels here and breakfast sandwiches here but recently I started getting some of their sandwiches my favorite is the cheesy chicken hero. “I had one tall looked, he appeared to be Spanish, that had NO clue what I was trying to order.
I have to repeat it three times and he still didn't get it right! The woman behind me was shaking her head and disbelief.

“I've always been going to this location due to its convenience but now that it's under new ownership this year, not only is it better but you get more for your dollar. The prices now are actually better than they were under previous management. Great combinations for breakfast or lunch, many fresh cream cheeses and bagels/flagles. I highly recommend this location. If you cannot find it, go right past the Walgreens if you are heading north on Terry and turn where it says massage envy because it is easy to miss. If you hit Maureen's, you went too far north. It will be on your right.“

“My family has been getting breakfast from this place ever since we’ve moved here 8 years ago and almost everything we’ve got were delicious. The bagels are soft and warm, you could choose from all different types of cream cheese and the breakfast sandwiches are amazing. If you're looking for a reliably good breakfast in Oakdale, Bagel Hero seems to hit the mark! You had a fantastic experience with their Hungry Man Hero, getting it just the way you like it. It's always a win when a place nails specific requests, and they clearly did with your order: toasted on both sides, perfectly runny over-easy eggs, and that extra kick of raw onions.

“A Tic Toc food reviewer suggested Prestanos. I was looking for an awesome breakfast sandwich that wasnt a Kaiser roll. Prestanos rolls are AMAZING. Ive been there the last 2 days for breakfast, bringing my out of state sister and brother in law. We all loved the sammies. Also got a couple of jelly donuts. Also Amazing. My husband stopped by after work today at 3pm to get Italian bread. I was hesitant about getting any kind of bread late afternoon but it was so fresh. ! Will be checking out their sweets. Great job Prestanos !!“

“First time trying this place. We got toasted bagels with cream cheese.
The bagels were delicious. The right amount of chewy without being gummy. Could have put a little more cream cheese on the bagels but they were so good it wasn’t a big deal.
Priced about the same as other bagel shops in the area. Will definitely be back.

“Great Food, Great Service, The Staff is Great, There's Welcoming Atmosphere that is Family Oriented which is what you would expect from a Family Owned Business. They're involved with numerous Charities from coats and toys for the needy, to Cancer Research, for our Men and Women in the Armed Services. They donate to local hospitals events and fundraisers. I've tried Bagel Stores from Miller Place to Stony Brook, from Coram to Port Jeff, including other Strathmore's and by far Strathmore of Mount Sinai has been the best.“

“Our first time ordering here. The food was good, and I don't know how they're making their whipped cream but it was absolutely amazing. But I really wrote this to say a thank you to the Sunday morning staff there on 10/12. There was a mix up and we didnt get a lg part of our order. Bagel chalet had their driver drop off our missing items in less than 15mins. There's no accountability for restaurants in the age of door dash/ uber eats. Ive had entire orders swapped out and restaurants blame Uber, Uber blames the restaurant, we get a credit and no one cares where the mess up was.“

“I’ve been getting bagels here since the early 2000s. Their bagels are my favorite, tighter and denser than a lot of other places in the area, which I prefer. Their bagel sandwiches are delicious.Coffee could be stronger and hotter though, and it’s more expensive than the competition. I remember when the bagel sandwiches were like 5+ dollars, now they’re almost 11. I realize everything in the area has gone up, though, so it is what it is.“
