“Fireside catered our daughter’s wedding with a BBQ buffet & it was perfect! Food arrived hot & fresh & our servers were very professional. I have been to weddings where they have run out of food-definitely NOT the case with Fireside! Generous portions & we even had leftovers. Highly recommend!“

“Most everything was amazing and delicious..The caviar frites, unfortunately, were so oversalted, they were inedible..(.I say that as someone who always asks for salt at places that don't have it on the tables) The cocktails were wonderful, as were the rabbit and schnitzel, ( what kind of witchcraft is that gf breading!?wonderfully crisp)oysters fresh. Service was ok, but I think the servers should dress more professionally..nothing crazy, maybe white shirt, black pants, long hair tied back. Will return. “My husband and I took a little day trip from Albany today with no real destination in mind, besides checking out Samuels Sweet Shop. As we drove through town, your restaurant caught our eye! After asking the sweet clerk at Sam’s how your food was, we decided to have lunch on her suggestion. And we are so glad we did! The interior of the restaurant is very nice and it was so warm and cozy as we entered. Your staff were wonderful. We each had a drink… I had a Bellini and he chose a beer. Our server was nice enough to look up the brewery his beer was from for us too (nice added touch that he didn’t have to do) We started our meal with calamari. The breading was so delicious and not heavy and the pineapple dipping sauce was a tasty surprise. I ordered the hot chicken sandwich and he opted for steak. My chicken was the perfect blend of hot and sweet and so good. My husband’s steak was perfectly and we both enjoyed the horseradish sauce it was served with. Both served with your homemade shoestring fries. Both, so good! We had a lovely time sitting and conversing. Your waitstaff checking in just enough to make sure we were taken care of and not pushy to get us out. Overall we loved it! We can’t wait to come back in warm weather and try your outdoor seating. I wish I had gotten our servers name, as he deserves the kudos for being so pleasant!“

Hosts were welcoming and provided great service accommodating our large party - friendly and helpful - setting a stage for a relaxed and fun late afternoon birthday meal. Everyone in our group of 18 enjoyed Fosters - cold drinks, good service, and excellent food - from the Thanksgiving sandwich, French dip, to the cranberry walnut salad! The team at Fosters also sourced a delicious carrot cake 🎂!“

“We drove from fishkill after my mom’s chemo treatment in pok … we haven’t been here in a while because it is a drive but we were in pok and we were in the mood for different. We were very happy with the food everything was great we just weren’t happy with the service, we had to ask multiple times for Splenda, the waitress spilled the milk and I used my napkins, she never gave us extra (she had them in her apron) I had to call her over for some then she was taking the finished plates and dropped the butter knife on my mothers foot and never apologized and seen it fall and looked under the table . not sure if the waitress was a bit off her game but we decided to enjoy the food.“

“Great options for my entire family for all meals of the day.
Whether eating in the Cafe or getting take-out we're always happy with the service from the staff. My wife needs gluten free options and this is our favorite place in the area to reliably have great options.

My personal favs are an omelet with spinich, tomato, and feta cheese for breakfast or the fresh caprese sandwich (sometimes I add a burger patty) for lunch/dinner. And the homefries are AMAZING.“

“We had our wedding reception at JB’s and we can’t recommend them enough! Mark and Tracey were wonderful in helping us prepare and set everything up, and they made a typically stressful experience as easy as possible. Our guests are still raving about how delicious the food and drinks were! The wait staff was great too - our glasses were always full. We were a little nervous about the tent in October but the heaters kept it warm and toasty in there, even during a nor’easter. Plus, you really can’t beat cocktail hour on the patio - fire pits, beautiful view of the golf course, and passed apps. Highly recommend JB’s Bar & Grill / MKAT Catering for your next event!“

“Took my in-laws out for dinner tonight. Two of us had the Beef Stroganoff.. and two of us had the filet mignon. The food was absolutely delicious, made to perfection, and food prices were fair ! ZERO complaints on the food... But now the bill comes. $14 (x7) for a shot of Don Julio Tequila? I almost fell over. That's simply ridiculous! Every bar/restaurant within a 50 mile radius gets $6-$7 per shot MAX! We're not in NYC .... I learned a valuable lesson tonight..... IF we return to Noochs for dinner, I'll drink water with a splash of lemon....“

“After our weekly walk adventure a friend suggested we stop by for lunch at Tavern 23. She said it was a 'hole in the wall' but the food is excellent. Well, was she RIGHT! Two of us had the Kale salad and another person had the Reuben. We shared a Beech Brie appetizer. Everything was delicious, fast, and very friendly service even though the place was hopping on a late Sunday afternoon!!! Highly recommend. ;-)“

“Pete’s: my new favorite Rhinebeck diner. Breakfast all day and other yummys, served with love. I sat at the counter and instantly had many new friends. “We visited on a Friday afternoon in late June 2025. There were plenty of parking spaces in the parking lot when we arrived. There were a few that were shaded by trees but they were all taken.

The restaurant is located near the bathrooms around the corner from the information desk when you first enter. Just go in and head towards the right hallway.

We didn't actually eat here but I stepped in quick to check it out while everyone was going to the restroom.

There were a number of tables and bench seating and it looked like there was outside seating as well under a large pavilion roof. It looked like there was enough space to move in between the tables nicely with a wheelchair or stroller.

The food prices are higher than you expect but normal for a museum cafeteria like this at a tourist attraction. It looked like they had food options for picky eaters as well. Large selection of premade sandwiches and salads so you can just grab and go if you're in a hurry. The food did look fresh and not like it had been sitting there for days.

Overall the visitor center was a great place to visit. There was so much more we could've done here and explored but we were short on time. I think if we were ever in the area again we would visit and I wouldn't' hesitate to grab some food here either.“

“We had my daughter’s Sweet 16 Party here this past Saturday. Everything was exceptional. The place looked beautiful & the food was amazing. Guests were all raving about how good the food i was. All the staff were really great. The Banquet Manager Fran was incredible to work with. She was so attentive to all our needs. Fran was so easy to work with, always responded right away when I contacted her & she worked so hard to ensure it was a special day for us. Really impressed with this venue & the staff. Quality varies a lot depending on who's cooking, but there are some things that are very consistent.Most things can be ordered using the meal plans pick 3 option (for those who don't know that's using a meal swipe for one main item, a drink, and a side).Wait time will be different depending on what you order. Usually burgers are very fast, pizza takes a bit longer, and Rossie's or noodles takes the longest (during busy times over 30 minutes).Speaking of Rossie's, if you've had the real deal than don't bother getting it here. This is still Sodexo making it, they just have access to the same ingredients and recipes. Also they're missing roast beef so you can't get the best thing Rossie's has anyways.Very strong vegetarian options if you don't mind eating the same thing a lot. The tofu for the noodles isn't anything to write home about and sometimes you'll need to break it up and let it warm up in the broth for a bit, but it's still pretty dang good.Top choices would be:1. Noodles, or oodles as they call it for some unknown reason.2. Pizza. Just make sure one of the good people is there to make it.3. Burger, they're not great but you'll get the same thing every time4. Rossie's. It's still pretty good, just not close to the real thing.“

“I went on 10/22/2024 to the location on Albany Street in Poughkeepsie N.Y. Today is my mom Birthday we had a party of seven. When we arrived we were told they don't have big table for our size party. They managed to add a table. The food was a 1.5 Everyone fries were over cooked the chicken was dry not a bit of Honey was tasted on the sandwiches. Tap water warm little to barely no ice. It took over 30 minutes to receive our meals no bread sticks salad nothing offered while we waited. It was a HORRIBLE DINNER. We asked if they have any Bday specials were told No. Do you sing Happy Birthday No. Mind you we were told by the person that recommended the place said they do sing Happy Birthday. I'm starting to feel it was a racial situation. Yet we still left tips. The Family had to go find Food upon leaving. The server was great it was her second day. I wish her well“

“What started off as a sad and somber day with the funeral for my grandmother ended with a very high note: after the visiting hours we gathered at Cappola's Restaurant in Hyde Park. This is a spot my family has been going to for generations. Well, when I was a kid I got dragged to some family function 20 years ago that I was very bored at. I wound up scraping plates and working in the kitchen that day (I was about 9 or 10 years old at the time.) I latched onto John Cappola's arm and was given a full tour of the restaurant, $5 cash for helping out, and a life experience that I will never forget! John and I took some pictures that day, I asked him to autograph a menu for me, and I decided I wanted to go into the restaurant business. He talked me out of it, which I was quite glad he did because I wound up going into coins and antiques a few years later. John, you showed me that day the value of hard work, the concept of what the American dream is all about, and how to hustle in business. Interestingly enough, John said he wondered what had happened to me just a couple of days prior to today! John's family started this legendary restaurant on Main Street in Poughkeepsie back in 1961. They subsequently went to open the restaurant in Hyde Park where he and his brothers still run it today. "Cappola's: a Hudson Valley Tradition Since 1961!" Thank you for mentoring me and showing me the restaurant game that day. I look forward to seeing you again soon!“

“So me and my family are up here this weekend for my wife's college reunion thing and she suggested Applebee's. It's close by the college and we wanted some good food before we head back to the hotel. Our waitress was phenomenal. I can't give her enough praise, attentive, patient (there was nine of us), plus she served two other tables around us. I gotta say the food wasn't as good as I had hoped. To me it's a hit or miss with boneless or regular wings. Either they're too saucy or not enough sauce. These were too saucy and my pasta was too saucy as well. My wife complained about the chip being stale as well. The ambience was good. Wasn't too to crowded but with a big family we bring the crowd with us usually. The staff was definitely accommodating so I really enjoy that.

Kid-friendliness: This was definitely a family friendly vibe as more families were there versus single people at the bar.“
