“It was a wonderful experience after quite a shitty day. Elie was super helpful with her recommendations. The sea bass special was delicious (kiss the chef!). It was busy, but the service was fast and prices reasonable. We even received gulab jamun on the house in the end. We really needed that gesture, lol. Would highly recommend.“

“After eating so much (pizza etc )we needed to eat something different, spicy and booked this gem,as it as near to our hotel. It was also our 40th wedding anniversary. We are from U.K. This was amazing perfectly cooked tasty home made authentic Indian cuisine. We had mocktails ( lavender was refreshing ). The tandoori lamb chops x4 were full meat seasoned beautifully and delicious. All other sides perfect too. Now in U.K. we hate restaurant Indian puddings they are usually bought in and awful/failure. After finding out the chef is the owner and a recipient Michelin star we were convinced to stay, try and this was the first time we have had authentic home made puddings; try Kulfi with rose water & also Indian rice pudding. The whole meal was exceptional great value and we will recommend this restaurant to anyone else visiting New York. Easy to find off Times Square /Broadway. Thanks for the rendition “ congratulations “ for our 40th. You are great ! A little gem of authenticity in big New York !“

“We got the triple schewan rice and noodles mix and vegetable manchurian gravy, both were delicious! It satisfied our indo-chinese cravings!
The service was prompt and ambience is good!
The only minus is the quantity of dishes which is pretty less for the price we pay.“

“Went here on a recent trip and had a good time. The Sharabi chicken tikka and ajwaini prawns were amazing and set the expectations really high for the main course. Sadly the Butter Chicken and Aloo Gobhi kofta were quite mid. I have had better at other regular non descript spots. Also ordered the Dal Makhani which was really good. Would definitely go back for the cocktails and appetizers but would skip the main course next time around.“

“I had such a wonderful dining experience here recently. Everything we ordered arrived fresh and full of flavor. The steam rising off the hot skillet was a perfect welcome to the meal, and the lemon slice on top was a nice touch.
The rice and naan were both excellent accompaniments to the main dishes. I especially enjoyed the vibrant green peas in the curry and the beautiful texture of the topped appetizers. It is a fantastic spot to grab a great meal on Grand Street.“

“Veerays isn't just a restaurant. It's a story.
Treat yourself to this atmospheric speakeasy space that also has magnificent food.
Sit in the red velvet booths, enjoying fresh Naan and spectacular paneer.
The drinks are lovely and so special.
The flavors and atmosphere will add to your own story.
Want something extra divine?
Go during lunch. At one point, we had private dining.
Oh what a story!“

“We’ve been a few times, Masalawala and Sons is a really good Indian restaurant. They have a lot of great dishes executed well, the butter chicken, saag paneer, and chennar dalna were all very tasty. Their bread selection is outstanding. Also, they do really nice cocktails. Everything we ate from the menu was great. My problems with Masalawala are two things. It suffers from this restaurant groups approach to customer service. We ordered, the food started coming out well before our drinks, just after we finally received our drinks, everything we ordered was on the within minutes. Then the waiter disappears. No offer of a cocktail or beer refill until we’re nearly done eating. This is not a place to enjoy a long meal or relaxed conversation. It felt like we were in a timer and they wanted us out as quickly as possible. And the restaurant is smallish with close set tables, and does a lot of delivery. If you are sitting up front, you’re likely to spend most of your meal with a delivery person standing right over your table, they are in and out constantly and makes the space feel hectic and a little stressful. Overall, I think Masalawala and Sons is a place we might order delivery since the food is quite good. But we might head elsewhere for a more relaxed, customer focused dining experience.“

“An absolute must-visit for anyone craving authentic Maharashtrian flavors! My best friends and I recently dined here, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish.
The standout star of the meal was undoubtedly the **Ghati chicken**—it was packed with rich, bold, fiery spices that delivered an unforgettable kick. The **chicken chili** was equally delicious, offering a savory, well-balanced flavor that complemented the spread perfectly.
If you are visiting, especially for anyone looking for true local Maharashtrian cuisine, you simply have to try their **vadapav** and **misal**. The authenticity in every dish shines through. Highly recommended for food lovers looking for a genuine culinary treat with friends!“

“It’s usually pretty quiet here when I tend to go for lunch. The service has always been great and attentive. The portions are big I can rarely finish what I order. The best part is the pricing - I typically order a main with rice & naan and a couple glasses of wine and I always feel like I’m getting a deal. Definitely recommend!“

“Between the confusing menu and the long time that I waited for my roll, I was ready to write this place off, but the food is delicious. I had the ghost chicken roll and it's more flavorful than spicy. They could add more sides to the menu - something with a vegetable in it, so that I can make it a full meal. Otherwise, it's a bit pricey for a product that seems like it's in the snack category.
Really good though, I'd come back.“

“It's good, but, since I am a Nepali and have tried their food back home, I'd say it's not the same as it was back home. But, then again, ingredients change the taste, so, I would say this place is worth trying and you never know you might love the food. :)“
