“I was out today riding my motorcycle over the mountain and stopped in for a twist cone. Your chocolate and vanilla ice cream is so rich in flavor. I remember if correctly it was called Juergen's Place back in the 1960's.“

“Yesterday we passed by this brewery and decided to go in. Inside the room is average size, what I didn't really like is that there is no design, it's just a boring room with tables. The bar counter was served by a nice and professional young Asian lady. My husband and I always try flights, here the flight consisted of 3 types of beer, the volume was not small, I still prefer when the flight is 5-6 types, but smaller in size, so I can choose a larger amount of future purchase. We sat outside, there were several large wooden tables with umbrellas. The territory was also simple, without design, looked a little unkempt. There was a music group preparing for a performance, but we left without having time to listen. I really like live music in such places. Of the 3 types of beer, I liked 2, my husband liked 1, we bought a type of beer to take with us that we had not tried and it turned out to be not bad. The prices are average.“
“Signed up for a tour for us and two visiting friends, and it was only the four of us on a Saturday in September. The tour guide was excellent, fielding all of our questions and teaching us a lot about the history and process there. The tasting is perfect when you still have to drive home: each person picks 6 liquors, and they come in small capped bottles. You can sample them there in the tasting room or take them home.
Very fun to visit for the tour, but will be back just to go to the bar and get food from the taco truck!“

“Great local brewery right in the middle of it all yet, secretly blending in with the neighborhood! Have an organic beer palette on your tongue and enjoy the unique Kingston microbrew 🍺🍻“
“Such an amazing afternoon at Minards with friends! We came with our 7 (combined) kids - who are 3-14 years old- And seriously, every single one of the kids had a blast, as did the parents! It’s a great set up for your kids to play while the grownups hang out nearby hand can enjoy a beverage or two. Angie and Jason were WONDERFUL hosts - which is kind of wild because my assumption is that the owners would generally oversee from some sort of ivory tower, but nope! They are right there “in it” with all the customers visiting for the day. I won’t lie- I love it and they are awesome people. My 7 year old is currently directing me to give them a 10 star review and is NOT happy that 5 is the max amount allowed. The parking lot was full of lots of jersey and Pennsylvania plates and that’s awesome- but more locals need to come spend a day here because it was an awesome experience for all! Also worth noting- I know places like this can be incredibly overwhelming for kids who may be neurodiverse and not thrilled with sensory overload. If you do come and try a day hanging out here- look for Angie (Incredibly friendly, very pretty blonde - can’t miss her!) and introduce her to your little one. Her whole background is in taking care of kiddos just like yours and she’s like a sorcerer with making them feel comfortable and not overwhelmed! In summary Apples ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kids play area ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Apple cannon ⭐️🔥⭐️🔥⭐️🔥⭐️🔥 Tavern ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ice cream ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Donuts⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cider ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Vibe ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“Great cider served by a great staff! Live music on the patio outside while I was there. There was a food truck at the entrance, but the is no food prepared by the establishment therefore no star rating. There were families with young children enjoying the live music. My favorite part aside from the really dry ciders is the vintage pinball room. 5 balls for a quarter! I'll definitely be back soon!“

“I recently stopped at the Restaurant at Apple Greens rest area along the Thruway in Upstate New York. Overall, it was a very efficient and convenient stop for a quick meal and break during the trip. I grabbed breakfast at Chick-fil-A, and though it was only my second time trying it, I enjoyed the spicy chicken biscuit—it was pretty good! There’s also a Panera Bread, Burger King, Auntie Anne’s, and a souvenir/convenience store, which offers plenty of options.
The decor is pretty basic, but it’s what you’d expect from a rest stop, so no complaints there. However, the place was quite cold, which made it a bit uncomfortable. The bathrooms, on the other hand, were very clean and well-maintained, which is always appreciated when traveling.
Overall, this rest stop gets the job done and has everything you need for a quick break. I’d recommend it if you're on the Thruway and need to stop for food or a bathroom break.“
“Nice spot! The atmosphere is super welcoming, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I don’t drink alcohol but hubby thought their craft beers are top-notch, with Hurricane Kitty and Mother's Milk being my favorites. They also have live music events that make the place even more fun. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!“

“I don't usually write reviews but I was so impressed by this restaurant that I felt obliged to let other people know what they were missing. From our cocktails to dessert everything was top notch ... fresh, delicious, and presented beautifully. The margaritas, both Frozen and straight up we're a perfect balance of lime and sweetness with a choice of different salted, sweet or spicy rim flavors. You can also get a flight of three different flavored margaritas including coconut, raspberry, and mango. All were delightful but coconut was the favorite. Our main course of fish tacos and portbella/spinach enchilada was fresh, colorful and delicious served with rice and beans. There are plenty of vegetarian options. The portions are plentiful and the prices are very reasonable. And I can't say enough about the friendly service and staff.... all super friendly and cheery....even the owner Guadalupe came to stop at our table and welcome us to her restaurant with a free dessert of creamy, light, melt in your mouth Key lime pie....save room....YUM! They even welcomed my dog, Goldilocks. What a wonderful find! I will definitely go back there again as often as I can. I had such a lovely evening and even had a conversation with the friendly people at the next table who were regulars. I left with a full belly, a smile on my face and a hug from Guadalupe.“

“We stopped in today for an early dinner and are so happy we did! We started with the bone-in chicken wings — Crack BBQ & Cajun Honey — and let me tell you, that Crack Sauce is AMAZING 👏. I had the Biggie chicken sandwich, and the chicken was seasoned to perfection. Rosanna was such a pleasure to chat with during our meal — super friendly and full of great insights about the area. Can’t wait to come back!“

“Cajun food in New Paltz NY? I was skeptical, but what we had was terrific! That night the only exception was the jambalaya which seemed overcooked and dry. But everything else was great, the five of us had a wide variety of appetizers and entrees. Too full for dessert. Next time! Easy parking, inside and outside deck seating options.“

The community of welcomeness is abundant each time you visit. Enjoy a 5 star meal.“

“I could scream this place is so good. Went on a totally random whim looking for something nearby and holy hell this place is incredible in every way and if I lived anywhere nearby I would basically move in.
The vibes are amazing - such highly curated art and seating from intimate booths to living room sofas and chairs. There’s tons of varied seating up front and then more tables and a wraparound bar in the back. It feels like a cozy 70s basement bar in Greenpoint.
Then there’s the food, omg. We tried the deviled eggs, fried chicken, brisket nachos, fries, and kale salad. All were 10/10. And cocktails were also delish.
Fave new place and will seek it out at all costs any time I’m upstate.“
