Recommend the kale caesar salad and the cauliflower wings. One criticism I’d give the buffalo wings is that they should be spicier. But they’re good for those who don’t like heat. The manager Stacey is friendly and knowledgeable and makes you feel like home. The Pale Ale is delicious and my favorite of the selections. The night we were there there was also music from the local band the Beer Flies - it was the icing on the cake for a great night. “End Cut has been our spot for special occasion dinners here and there, but tonight was a little different. On 1/26 I called to make a reservation for tonight, and to no surprise, I could not for the life of me remember if I made it for 7 or 7:30. So Michael called yesterday and unfortunately our reservation wasn’t on the books. They were completely booked but squeezed us in for 5:30. We had one of the best meals in awhile - mushroom cakes, a porterhouse for two with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese, key lime pie and two drinks each. The porterhouse for two was $115 alone.. and I have zero clue what the whole bill was because Chef Jordan took care of our e n t i r e bill. We declined many times but they insisted, so the next best thing I can think of is to recommend the heck out of a place that not only cares about their customer’s experience, but does everything 11/10 from drinks to dessert. “If you're looking to get married in the Hudson Valley, you need to have it at Bad Seed. The staff are truly incredible, always going above and beyond during your wedding planning process all the way through the wedding. Throughout the planning period, the bad seed team were always available whenever we had questions or needed to figure out logistics. During our wedding day they we're constantly checking in on us to make sure that we we're having a great night and our guests raved about the kindness and care they showed to them throughout the night. Plus, the cider is truly the best you can find! Speaking on the venue space itself, you cannot find a more picturesque location! Set perfectly on their own orchard, you're surrounded by beautiful foliage as far as the eye can see! And the venue itself has plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces that will charm all of your guests! We truly cannot think of a better place to have held our special day, and we're eternally grateful to Devin & the rest of the Bad Seed crew for making our day absolutely perfect! :)“

“We stopped by in the evening after a soccer game at New Paltz. We were tired, cold and hungry. Lola's had a warm, welcoming friendly atmosphere. We ordered two salads, and a panini and a few drinks. We all enjoyed our meals and I think the Asian chicken salad was honestly the best salad I've ever had. So fresh and the chicken was tender and delicious in a peanut sauce. We hope to return and try some other dishes from the amazing menu! So glad we stopped in!“

“I recently stopped at the Restaurant at Apple Greens rest area along the Thruway in Upstate New York. Overall, it was a very efficient and convenient stop for a quick meal and break during the trip. I grabbed breakfast at Chick-fil-A, and though it was only my second time trying it, I enjoyed the spicy chicken biscuit—it was pretty good! There’s also a Panera Bread, Burger King, Auntie Anne’s, and a souvenir/convenience store, which offers plenty of options.

The decor is pretty basic, but it’s what you’d expect from a rest stop, so no complaints there. However, the place was quite cold, which made it a bit uncomfortable. The bathrooms, on the other hand, were very clean and well-maintained, which is always appreciated when traveling.

Overall, this rest stop gets the job done and has everything you need for a quick break. I’d recommend it if you're on the Thruway and need to stop for food or a bathroom break.“
