“Solid, filling food. You really get what you pay for. It's got a friendly overall atmosphere, and it's never crowded or packed. Food never takes super long to get to you either. it takes a few minutes at absolute most. They also hold up some of their special deals (you won't see them on the menu but all I had to do was ask).
Honestly can't go wrong coming here for solid grub.“

“Samir Wallia and staff are always consistent with their food service. Each Mr Hero may be independently owned and operated, so sometimes you may not get the very best. However, at this Northfield Road Bedford location, I have not had a bad experience. Some of the new sandwiches, I may not like, but overall the food is consistent and tasty.“

“My favorite sandwich place in the area. High in demand, I love the fresh bread. I recommend ordering as soon as they open Friday in person if you want the special. I have disappointed myself a few times with sandwiches selling out early, but you can't beat their quality. I've tried every sandwich and salad on the main menu and would recommend them all. Though the hot chicken was too spicy for me ?. The only feedback I'd give is having an air filter inside. The air quality dips with having an open kitchen, and while I order takeout if I order in person and wait it'd be an added benefit. See you again soon!“

“I do not have enough words to describe this place. Truly the BEST atmosphere, BEYOND INCREDIBLE AND AMAZING customer service, the food is FRESH ASF and always DELICIOUS. I love this place. “Does not disappoint. Maybe the best damn sub I've had in the 15 years. Went with the Original #1 No Tomatoes. You will have garlic breath afterwards - but it's well worth it. Toasty crunchy bun, loaded with meat and toppings and perfectly seasoned“

“This is a tiny little shop that's been around for so long that is an institution in Coventry Village, on the same level as Tommy's. You can just feel how not-corporate they are, and I'm pretty sure that the owner works the counter, which I think is awesome. Their subs are all so good, and their bread is some of my favorite. A whole sub is a good investment if you want leftovers for the next day - it works out to around $6-7 a meal (for me at least). They have a drink fridge. There's no seating for dine-in, but they do have benches to wait - although I always prefer to drop into another store nearby and come back in a few minutes to pick it up.

Note that as of October 2024, the only credit/debit card they accept is Visa. It gives an option to tip on the card, so you don't need cash for that. I encourage tipping here, because the kitchen is open and you can really tell that they're working hard at it.

Vegetarian options: I forget which sub it is, but they have a mushroom sub that is absolutely delicious - one of the best veggie subs I've ever had. I'm not sure if have any vegan cheese, but let's be honest - why would anyone even want vegan cheese?“

“One of the best sandwich spots in town. We like going to La Bodega too and they do serve different sandwiches. The owner is very nice and the names for the sandwiches are funny. We have been going here often and the place did not disappoint. Definitely give them a shot, great place and they have parking on both sides of the street. You can either street parking or park in their lots.“

“What can I say. I've always liked there Roman burger and fries. I always say no cheese on anything and they would repeat what I say but I some how I end up with cheese on my sandwich. I am lactose intolerant which makes it hard on my stomach.“

This establishment & my several experiences with them have been above & beyond. This is everything from the food, the price of product to the I believe it to be a supervisor or owner if I am not mistaken.

The cheese steaks are fresh and quality ingredients with a pack of flavor. The tots were mouth watering along with the sauce it comes with.

The gentleman that has been these the past 2 interactions has provided kind, genuine, quality customer service.

This is such a hidden gem that we are thrilled to have discovered as our new go to establishments & it’s not even comparable to any other food establishment in the area or in general for that matter now a days.

“I was skeptical because of course it's in a gas station and you know what they say about gas station food. But I can assure you this food is made to order right in front of your eyes and tastes amazing!!! So far I've had their gyro and their clevelander Burger with fries oh my God I will keep trying more items on the menu. Do yourself a favor and try it and it is worth every penny! So good“

“Was in town visiting family and stopped by. There was a woman in front of us who ordered a mushroom sub, and when the employee gave her the sub she went on and made A HUGE fuss that it wasnt what she ordered. The employee handled it AMAZINGLY well and told her that 1. he had made the sandwich she ordered and 2. She could choose another sandwich.

She left in a huff and i ordered my food and got the same mushroom sandwich just to spite her and damn that was delicious. 10/10 would visit again. Clean, friendly, and so professional.“

“The Godfather - Best Italian sub (fast food) in the country! I'm going to share my secret on how to make it. First you want it made hot, then White bread make sure it's fresh just out of the oven, double the cheese provolone or provolone and swiss combined, extra mayo, honey mustard ,oil and spices, tomato lettuce onion, light banana peppers, pickles and red and sweet peppers (if you like it spicy get the hot peppers). Run down building, huge potholes in the lot where you drive to get to the drive thru ordering system, basically no curb appeal whatsoever. Ordered a large Roman burger that was okay. Luke-warm at best and I live three minutes from this place. Better options in the area. Won't be going back.“
