“Toro Toro Sushi is specialized in torched maki roll, with fancy names such as Emperor & Empress, Hidden Dragon, Fantacy, all full of flavors ( price ranged from $11 to $14, highly recommended). Their poke bowel is also good with fresh and yummy ingredients. The store is quite small, only about 10 tables for 2 people setting, very crowded especially when half of the store with people standing and waiting to take out. Not a great place to dine in. The service is ok, efficient, but seldom see smiles. I would recommend to take out some speciality rolls and poke bowel, not to dine in.“

“Fresh and yummy sushi! It was beyond my expectation for a food court location. For those who may not be familiar with "sushi", it means rice with raw fish ? on top like this ? and should be kept in a fridge if not consumed immediately to prevent the fish from being spoiled. “As a long-time sushi lover, I recommend this place. The fish and ingredients are fresh, and you can really taste the difference in every bite. The sushi was flavorful and well-balanced, with each roll and nigiri made with care. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better.

They also have table seating, which is great if you prefer a sit-down meal setting. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. One of the most fun surprises was the selection of unique Asian pops and ice creams for dessert—definitely not something you see everywhere.

“Always a favourite spot of mine! Love love coming here with out of city friends, the food quality and service is always top notch and the seasonal menu is always worth taking a look at! Recommend coming on a weekday - weekends are pretty busy and can get a little too loud for me but weekdays make a perfect night out. Highly recommend!“

“We had a wonderful shabu shabu experience at this restaurant and their A5 Wagyu option is definitely a must try. It’s located inside the mall together with Shinta BBQ. Parking is available and they can validate your ticket for two hours. Staff are friendly!“

“Literally a hidden gem since no one really talks or post about it on social media. Spontaneously walked into TAKI Japanese Cuisine for dinner one weekend, and we were so thankful that they were able to take the 2 of us in for omakase dinner at the bar!

They took over the same space as Rin Sushi with the same decor and same layout. The waitresses who served us that evening wore traditional Japanese kimonos; the chef and staff all spoke in Japanese. Food and service were amazing!

“I dined in with my boyfriend and friend on Saturday ($45.99/per person) evening around 9:30pm and was notified the kitchen will close at 10:30pm. We would have about 1h to eat as we were really hungry walking in and pretty full after. This is my third time dining at this restaurant location and the beef on the all day menu is my favourite! They only accept cash or debit!“

“A surprisingly legendary AYCE sushi restaurant up in Woodbridge.

Came here with my friends on a weeknight for the all you can eat option. Total ended up being around 40 dollars per person with cash discount.

Sushi and sashimi quality were fantastic. Everything tasted fresh, and my favorites were definitely the hug roll and the salmon sashimi.

I'm not sure if it was because the restaurant wasn't super busy or something, but the food just kept COMING. One of the only places that won't rate limit you either. If you order 40 pieces of sashimi, you're getting 40 pieces.

If I was ever in the area and wanted sushi, I'd definitely come back. I'm really hoping this experience wasn't just a one-time thing -- super rare to find gold standard AYCE sushi!“

While we appreciated the quality and variety of ingredients, we did feel that the menu leaned a bit toward the ordinary for a high-end omakase experience, apart from some standout items like the tilefish and shirako. We expected a few more unique ingredients given the price point, though the different cooking methods were enjoyable.

One small point of confusion was the dessert; there was an additional charge for melon, grapes, and persimmon. This was unexpected for a high-end restaurant experience.

“Ordered takeout from this place on a weekday. The resto occupies the spot that Apron Cafe used to sit in.

My order was ready in 15-20 min. Walked in and was greeted warmly by the hostess who handed me my food.

I ordered a yuzu miso pork loin and an okonomiyaki.

The pork was crispy and juicy. The miso sauce was great! I get very similar vibes between this place and Katsuya. The menus also look VERY similar.

Okonomiyaki was tasty as well. I liked the fresh salad on top.

Overall, food quality was excellent! I do think it was quite pricey though for the quantity of food. Prolly wouldn't be a regular because of the price.

Will return to try some of their other katsu flavours!“

“Thrilled to discover our new neighbourhood has such a high-quality, homey Japanese restaurant! My sister and my Japanese brother-in-law were visiting from the States, where they live in a small Southern city without access to a wide variety of Japanese food. My BIL was in absolute heaven—we dined in one night and then two nights later ordered take-out so my sis and BIL could get a fix before leaving town.

We enjoyed a sake tasting, and my BIL was pleased with the sake options too. The owners and staff are warm and the vibe is laid back and local. There was a table celebrating a birthday, and the birthday “boy” (elderly man) bought a round of drinks for the whole restaurant and we sang to him.

Small dining room, not pretentious, with a fantastic variety of fresh fresh fresh sashimi as well as hot dishes (seared mackerel yum). I have celiac disease so couldn’t taste some of the dishes ordered, but high marks were given to everything. The staff was accommodating to my dietary restrictions and served GF tamari.

Reservation strongly recommended, at minimum call before you go so you know whether you need to ask for take-out!

“The quality of food is good and consistent and they are very reliable. It’s a hidden gem. We ordered 2 sushi platters, 3 dinner specials and 3 udons and the food was fresh and packed well and they got the order right.
