“This super sweet corner chocolatier is really really good! I've gotten a pack of their chocolates for a bride-to-be and she loved them.

If you're a chocoholic like me, I highly recommend the dark chocolate vegan gelato and the Nutella. It's a really good combination, but quite honestly I have yet to have a bad flavour from there! Toasted marshmallow and rocky road are great options too.

They're a bit pricey and there's very little seating to enjoy your ice cream/gelato, but it's worth it I promise.“

“I came solo and got the tasting menu so that I’d have a chance to get a bit of everything. They also have an a la cart menu. There is a lot of overlap, but some items are only on one or the other. The tasting menu was a great option for me as a solo diner. They also let me substitute one of the savory dishes (turnip cake) for dessert because I don’t like sweets. 🥰 Turnip cake is my favorite dim sum dish so this was a real treat for me. The papadam with eggplant was an amazing first bite. My favorite dish was the runner beans. The red pepper sauce was so flavorful. That is, until I tried the grapes. I wasn’t sure if I would like this, because grapes are often too sweet for me, but these were delicious! They paired well with the tangy cashew yogurt and savory Brussels sprouts. Such an amazing dish. Overall I had a great time here and it’ll be high on my list of places to return to.“

I also ordered the new Brussel sprouts on the menu and I don’t usually like Brussel sprouts but these were incredible! The portions were great! And honestly I find every time I go to fresh I always like everything on their menu. They are very trustworthy and authentically vegan. The service is incredible, they never have you waiting and they are extremely kind. The atmosphere makes you feel safe and is very beautiful and homey. “I recently visited Stefano's Diner for the first time, after reading that it was one of the best vegan restaurants in the city, and it didn't disappoint. I’ve never eaten a breakfast sandwich before because they don’t look that good to me. However, after reading the ingredients for the All Day Breakfast Sandwich, I want to try it. OMG! So good. I’m happy I found this plant-based restaurant. Now, I don’t need to go to a vegetarian or vegan-friendly restaurant where there are only a couple of items for me that aren’t that good. “Grey Gardens is a marker in Toronto for me - the place I want to take friends to for a celebratory meal and where I want to retreat when I feel like a solo date, sitting at the chef’s counter.
It is rare for any restaurant to have survived the past few years intact, it is another thing entirely for one to have maintained the consistency that GG has.
On this occasion, my sisters and I wanted to celebrate the fact that all our birthdays happen to be in August. Farhad, our server, was a delight and it was our collective joy to discover that we all hail from Bombay. The perfect recommendations for wine to go with our food selections. The stand-outs - spaghetti with duck, fennel and parm, the scallop crudo with chicken fat, shrimp toast, caraflex (perfection) and the blueberry galette with corn ice cream.
Farhad brought us an extra strawberry gelato so we would have three desserts, each with a candle. And a special glass of amaro as a post-dinner digestif.
Exceptional food (and great value!!) that just makes you happy to be out on a late summer’s evening and service that makes you want to come back, again and again. Grey Gardens, you will always be famous (to me).“

“For our first night in Toronto for a girls' trip, we had dinner at Chubby's given the good reviews and me mentioning wanting to try the various Caribbean spots during our stay. The decor gives island vibes with the wooden furniture and tranquil color choice for decor. Staff were all pretty helpful, with you waiter being pretty attentive.

For my drink, I ordered the rum punch which was pretty good in the balance of flavorand alcohol content. In terms of food, the portions for my entree (Oxtail Stew) was a little smaller than I thought but or actually worked out well and was enough. The oxtail was cooked down, well seasoned and tender, but I felt like I got a lot of pieces that were just bone or pretty fatty. The other food/Likkle bites I ordered to share with one of my friends were also very good. The Pepper Shrimp definitely had a heavy kick of spice to it and tasty. I really enjoyed the Saltfish (Cod) Fritters - they were tasty, had a good chutney to go with it. The plantains were cooked perfectly so that they stayed soft.

From the very beginning, the staff was incredibly accommodating, handling all the logistics seamlessly and making the planning process easy and stress-free.
