“We enjoyed our food here. First time taking my 5 year old here and he enjoyed the Mac and bites as well donut dessert with lots of toppings. Only thing that service was on the slower side however they were training staff. I would come back! Son love the free toy as well! “As we drove into the parking lot, almost all of the parking spots were full. We thought that the restaurant would be at full capacity However we observed that a lot of people exited their vehicle and went to the fitness place next door. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all.The food from the kichen was wonderful and well prepared. The service from the wait staff was top quality and attentive.The beer menu was mediocre in selection. Disappointed in the beer selection, I ordered tea instead. The tea was served with a china mug filled with hot water with a bag on the side. The waitress left additional hot water in a metal tea pot. Tea is not served like this in any other restaurant . The pot was beyond its service life, the lid was warped, did not close and hot water leaked while pouring. The tea taste was poor quality.The bench seating was very tight and uncomfortable. That was the tightest seating that I have experienced .However, the good outweighs the bad and I would come back.“

“This is a regular spot for us. Between me and my partner we've tried about half the appetizers and plenty of the entrees. I love their West Coast Chop Salad and Baja Fish Tacos and my husband loves their Crispy Chicken Sandwich. Their dill dip and spicy soup dumplings are always hits as well!“
“Fantastic restaurant in Kitchener. All food is fresh and local. The portions are good value for the price. Lots of local beers on tap as well. Service is relaxed, not rushed. I recommend making a reservation if going for dinner on Friday or Saturday.Our favourite server has to be Luigi from Amalfi, Italy. He has a great personality, which makes your dining experience so much more enjoyable.“
“Had a wonderful classic Philly cheesesteak here and a pleasant experience picking up my order! The place is immaculately clean and the man who helped me (not sure if he was the owner or not) was very polite and took the time to prepare the sandwich the way I liked it.The meat, onions and mushrooms were cooked fresh in front of me and he even let me have a bite of the meat and cheese to see if it was cooked to my liking. I added some tomatoes and Chipotle Mayo on top and it was delicious. He clearly knows his stuff which makes it easy to understand why the food tastes so authentic.It was such an amazing sandwich and I will definitely come back anytime I have the Philly cheesesteak craving!“

“We went to the Edelweiss after not having been for many years as we had moved away. We went there for a concert and had dinner before. The menu was full of great choices , we knew schnitzel was a specialty there and had that. The food was great and the service was fast. Big TV’s on the walls around to watch sporting events and entertainment was also setting up to play in the restaurant as well. The concert was being held in an attached room next to the restaurant area. We will definitely go back to check out more menu items.“

“This is the best Harvey's around. Nice atmosphere and clean. The toppings were layed out beautifully with really fresh ingredients (no yellow tomato cores!). I get my burger without a bun and the server even asked if I wanted extra lettuce (which I did!). Great service, food and atmosphere. This location is a hidden gem that I've rarely seen busy.“

“There is no real storefront, you follow a sign into a building and through semi-retail corridors until you reach a glassed in area with a bunch of tables. The sign beside the door is actually pretty small. The counter makes it obvious that this place serves food but most of the view into the kitchen is blocked by stuff so we didn’t see people until after we had helped ourselves to a menu and read for a while. Tuesday evening at 6 and no one else was there. The wait for food was reasonable and all our special orders were accurate. The ribs (in the poutine) were especially good.“

“Betty our waitress was wonderful. Friendly, shared joke and offered naps.. Food as always great. Ed ordered chicken & shrimp, thoroughly enjoyed and I had Quarter chicken white meat and baked potato with everything.. I didn't know it came with bacon cheese as well as sour cream and onions. Wow!! so good.no pressure to eat and leave, we were able to relax and enjoy.. I have been dining at Swiss chalet since the 60's and this is one of the best. Service is always good, Betty was great. nice to have someone who can relate to customers, food hot etc..“
