“This is our second time here, and it’s consistent! We got the Tomato cheese ramen - the cheese was torched over the chasu and it tasted so smoky and savoury. We also got the curry udon noodles that were thick and chewy, SO bombbbbb. I had a wonderful meal at this small business that’s cutely
decorated. The food and presentation was 10/10, the owner was so wonderful, sweet, and welcoming, I’ll definitely be back!“

“Loved this place, came with my family and the service was amazing . The food was to die for. And they honestly were really amazing with my kids. I know it’s hard to take your family out sometimes and sometimes you share what you all have. But how they treated us so amazing with sharing the meal with my family of 4, and we only ordered 2 meals. And the waitress was so amazing because my kids really wanted tot try the ice cream but it wasn’t in the budget… but she saw how bad they wanted it and gave it to them on the house. I’m telling you now I will be coming here a lot more.“

“It was a quiet afternoon and we really wanted something warming and found this cute Ramen shop. We chose two pork tonkosto dishes with different toppings. The thin sliced pork was very good but the stars of the meal were the bbq ribs. Definitely check this spot out when going to Chinatown“

“My only regret was not visiting earlier. The shoyu classic was incredibly good; the pork was very tender and the broth was smoky and hearty. Our waitress was very charming and friendly. Bit cramped with lunch crowd but was more focused on the good food. Highly recommend!“

“The Pork Gyoza was decent—nothing special but solid. The real star here is the ramen, which was simply delicious. I tried both the Beef Spicy Jalapeño Ramen and the Pork Spicy Garlic Ramen. The jalapeño ramen had a bold, spicy kick with plenty of jalapeño flavor, while the garlic ramen was outstanding—packed with flavor and just the right amount of heat. “whenever i feel like there's no hope in my life and everything is going wrong, i go here and get vegetarian orochong ramen with level 2 spice. it's very yummy, loaded up with lots of vegetables, and exactly the amount of spice i can handle. eating it is a visceral experience. sniffling, coughing, etc. fighting for my life. it takes my mind off of all that ails me. the best part is that despite how spicy it is, it miraculously doesn't cause me any stomach problems after. doesn't hurt on the way out. i suspect that may be because i need to drink multiple litres of water alongside the spicy broth though lol... dilutes the capsaisin and washes my worries away.“

But this review is mostly for the people working in the restaurant today as they all went above and beyond my expectations (and they did it with passion and smiles on their faces). “Delicious and fresh. Ordered the spicy beef. The noodles have a great texture and the broth itself is flavourful and does not feel too oily. In terms of spice, you can change the broth to suit your level of tolerance. After leaving the restaurant I did not feel full or have that heavy feeling with my stomach. I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other dishes. The service was very good and all were friendly who came to the table.“

Was upsold the consommé but my friend had the paitan and it was better than the consommé.
There is a little bit of biased since I am more of a creamy Hakata ramen kind of person. Nevertheless, the taste is good and overall was a decent experience.

Nice that they give half noodle refill for free and the atmosphere is pretty good if you were to go on a date or something.“

“One of the best ramen spots in Toronto, hands down.

The broth is rich and flavorful without being too heavy, and you can really taste the care that goes into it. The chashu is melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the egg is perfectly soft with a creamy yolk.

The toppings are fresh and generous, and every bite feels balanced and satisfying. The karaage was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and full of flavor. It honestly feels like the chicken, sauces, and even the noodles are made in-house — everything has that handmade quality.

The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. Amazing value for authentic ramen.

Already planning to bring my girlfriend back here… looks like this is going to be our new ramen spot.

“Let me start off by saying I’m not the biggest ramen fan. But we were at union station and it just looked good. I got the black miso ramen. I’m almost mad about how good it was as I have no plans of going back to Toronto. It was very flavorful. The mushrooms were cooked amazing and very tasty. The pork skin was perfect and I loved the broth. It was served quick I just wished there was a place to sit and eat as it’s a food hall it was extremely busy and all I could find was a stand up table. But the food itself is well worth it and I would not hesitate to have it again“

“We've been to a few Ramen Isshin locations before and as usual the food and service were great. The Chashu Don could have had more meat but it was otherwise delicious and filling enough. The spicy miso is our usual go-to and it was consistently good. The happy hour is nice to have with a meal. The hoji cha shaved ice dessert was very good too. We will be returning here again.“

“Probably the best ramen place I’ve been to so far. Their spicy ramen is actually spicy. The staff is so sweet and polite. The restaurant in general is very clean. Been back 4 times since my first visit.

Vegetarian options: Don’t remember what vegetarian options they had, but I do remember seeing an option.“
