“Had an amazing dining experience at Liu Yishou Hotpot! The restaurant is clean and comfortable, the ingredients are fresh, and the broth is rich and flavorful. Special thanks to Sasha and Wency for their attentive and friendly service — they really made our meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!“

“I like the signature board very much! The beef in the noodles is spicy and delicious. The bean skin in the noodles is also soft and tasty. 💕btw The seafood noodles are spicy but very fragrant. You can order slightly spicy for the first time.“

“One of my favourite restaurants in all of Toronto! My family makes sure to visit this spot on regular occasion because of the exceptional Soup Dumplings, Pan-Fried Dumplings, Onion Pancakes and Dandan Noodles. Not to mention the convenient location and pleasant staff; the owner's son is very friendly and is doing a great job. For dessert, I highly recommend the Candied Bananas perfect for large groups. Price is also very reasonable which is rare in today's world.“

“Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Canada. There's always a fresh catch of the day of delicious seafood 🤤 Honestly, I've been to hundreds if not thousands of restaurants and there isn't a single item off the menu that me and my guests have not enjoyed. Anna is super hospitality and treat us like family 💗 Highly recommend if you haven't given it a try already“

“I recently dined at this amazing hot pot restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for gathering with friends. The broth was rich and flavorful, offering both spicy and mild options. The ingredients were fresh, especially the thinly sliced beef and crisp vegetables. I loved the variety of dipping sauces that added so much taste to every bite. The service was attentive and friendly, making sure our table always had everything we needed. Overall, it was a delicious and memorable meal. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys authentic hot pot.“

“Failsafe malatang place that I keep going back every time I try new malatang places. MalaTown is a small business and their broth and sauce warms your heart and soul. It hits the spot every time.
You select the ingredients you want and you can customize the spice level, the numbness level, add/remove green onion, garlic and/or cilantro.
If your total order is over $25, you get a free drink and there is a wide variety of drinks!“

“Great place with lots of room between tables which is very unusual in dim sum restaurants.
SML $5.5 dim sum if order before 2:30pm
As it is part of the chain, membership is honored here too for dim sum size beyond L.
Parking lot is tight so be aware of dropping off youngster and seniors first“

“Hidden in a mall that’s almost abandoned, and this kitchen feels like the only thing that is attracting customers. Fast, reasonable priced, and tasty Chinese fast food. Portions are huge too. Busy on weekend nights. Recommend to call ahead before pick up.“

“Came here with a reservation but somehow they forgot to save us a smaller table, so we ended up sitting at a huge 10ppl table. We ordered 4 items: 1) deep fried prawns and pumpkin - the best dish there imo, 2) sauteed shredded chicken and sea cucumber with wasabi - almost like hainan style chicken - very good, 3) deep fried spare ribs with garlic - it was just okay nothing too special and 4) ton choy dish.
Overall, I'd come back here for their salted egg yolk series however it is quite on the pricey side. No cash discounf“

“The Hakka restaurants on Richmond Hill are all fast closing down or gone so it was a surprise to find this one still functioning. It’s only take out now and it is run by an old charming Chinese couple so there is a wait time. But the food is tasty and authentic and not too bad on your wallet. So cheers and hope this one stays for some time. I ordered Cantonese Chow mein, Ginger Beef and Sweet corn chicken soup. The beef and the soup are delicious 🎶🎶“

“Have lived in the area for 20 years but have only tried this place recently. This place is a gem and one of the only places around which didn't jack up their prices following COVID. Can easily have a decent meal for less than $20 per person and best of it portions and big and tasty.“

“It's Chinese style soup, more specifically, Cantonese soup style. It's a great choice for people who do not have the time to cook the soup at home that needs lengthy attention. It tastes as expected, not greasy at all. Definitely recommend for those who are looking for nutrition soup.“

“The Big Trio is my go-to place for wonton noodle twice a week. Their beef tripe is also very tasty and tender. However the combinarion of wonton and tripe is the best. Add a bit of chilli oil...oh my.... my stomach thanks me for it. I think i am addicted to it. ;)“

“This is a very casual, low-key place, perfect for lunch! I tried their braised pork belly with preserved mustard green on rice and sea coconut partridge soup. Both outstanding! Hot and flavourful! They also have a new Thai menu. I will definitely go back to try their Singapore hainanese chicken on rice. They take credit cards. Plenty of parking!“

“The food is consistently delicious. It’s my go to Chinese restaurant in the area. My 89 year old father is hard to please and he’s always happy with the takeout. Dining-in atmosphere is very basic but is quiet. They are always efficient and friendly here.“

“Always on the hunt for Hong Kong food, and we checked out this spot😍We tried their Signature Onion Oil Chicken, the Chicken was very juicy and tender, it’s got a TON of Scallion Oil on it, paired with Steamed Rice, so good! We also got their Portuguese Style Pork Chop in Curry on Rice, the Curry was on the sweeter end but delicious, the Pork Chop was tender as well, loved it! Both meal came with a Drink or Soup but not both like other spots, overall still decent in value.“

“Got the A1 (w/noodles + broth on the side), B1 (w/noodles), and C1 (no noodles).
The beef was super tender and soft. The regular shrimp wonton was stuffed and good. The fish wonton was okay I can see how some people may not like it.
The noodle itself nothing special.
The broth nothing special.
The size of the wontons were pretty big.
Would I go out of my way and drive all the way here for the wonton? Probably not. If you're in the area it's a good spot to try.“

“The seating is very comfortable and modern however the food is really delicious but I would say the price is on the higher than average and the quantity is slightly smaller than average but for me quality is the most important thing so they get 5 stars“

“It was strange, the dishes I ordered (spaghetti bolognese and iced lemon tea) were really delicious, but my bf got Portuguese chicken and iced ying yuen and he said they both tasted weird/not normal. The Portuguese chicken contained pineapple which was unexpected, and he said the ying yuen just didn't taste that good compared to what he's had before. I agree that there really shouldn't be pineapple in Portuguese chicken, but I can't confirm whether it tasted bad or not; I guess if you love pineapple you might enjoy it. They also give a starter soup, and we were given the corn soup, and that was super yummy. Overall it was an average experience for an HK cafe, and depending on what you get it can be a hit or miss.“

“MENU is attached.
Originated from China in 2011, there’s now 8 locations across the GTA. At this location, it’s 2 eateries in 1 location. Yang’s Braised Chicken Rice and Yunshang Rice Noodle.
You order by scanning the QR code on the table. We ordered directly with the waitress instead. They provided us with a glass of complimentary tea, chopsticks, spoon and a napkin.
We ordered the Braised Chicken (boneless) and Braised Beef with noodles. Both were delicious. You can change the level of chilli heat if you wish. We ordered no spicy. The Chicken comes with bone in or boneless. If you want more toppings or vegetables, you can pay extra.
If you are a frequent guest to this establishment, it’s best to pay an one time fee to become a VIP member. Ask them for more information.
The food in general came out at a decent time. It got crowded as we were leaving.
You pay by approaching the Cashier at the back of the restaurant and stating your table number. BTW, they only accept debit card and cash.
They do takeouts.
Parking: Lots of parking spaces but can get busy since it’s close to an after school program for kids.
Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs for kids to use.
Wheelchair accessibility: No push / no wave button to automatically open the double doors.“
“Nowadays, Cantonese restaurants equipped with huge aquariums that are stocked with live seafood have become a common sight in the vibrant Richmond Hill/Markham Chinese culinary landscape. Nestled behind Richlane Mall, inside a secluded open-air strip plaza, atop of a small knoll, houses another such establishment. Tonight’s dinner gathering, organized by another family member, is a follow-up to last week’s going-away party. This time, the quality and caliber of food has been substantially elevated! For tonight, the meal will feature a Big Kahuna.....Live Alaskan Red King Crab prepared multiple ways! As for the wines?! Since IMHO, Riesling and Crab together are part of the Creator’s plan, a fine bottle of German off-dry masterpiece to pair with the star is a requisite. In addition to another bottle of elusive perfume and style 2014 Chateau Lafite, a reliable Zenato Amarone was also added to the mix for pairing with the meat dishes. Our party of eight went through the following courses with gusto and avidity: - 9 pounds Alaskan King Crab prepared 3 ways. - Steamed legs with caramelized minced garlic on a bed of rice vermicelli - Wok fried body with Maggi Sauce - Steamed egg custard Chawanmushi with crab brains - Whole Cantonese Roasted Duck, ‘ Pei-Pa Style ‘ - Stirred fry Chinese Cauliflower with wind dried preserved meats - Braised Tofu with mixed mushrooms and Chinese Greens - Fried Pork Spare ribs with Preserved Olive Tapenade Glaze - Stirred fry beef with Chinese Kale ( Gai-Lan ) Complimentary desserts of Red bean dessert soup, Cherry flavored jello and Almond Cookies. Overall, the lovingly prepared food coupled with the superb friendly service created a highly satisfactory dinner experience. Standard of the cooking IMO ranked amongst some of GTA’s best. During the past week, I had the good fortune to savor some extremely well executed Cantonese fare, first from StarChiva and now at Oriental Bistro. Indeed, I am grateful and blessed to live within such close proximity to some of GTA finest Chinese cuisine establishments.“

“Overall simple to the point, Chinese takeout. Portion size was good in the all in one combo. Lots of noodles and chicken and vegetables. Noodles were a bit under seasoned and the chicken was mostly sweet but that’s kind of the experience I want/crave with simple Chinese takeout. I’ll be back.“

“I am from out of town where there isn’t any authentic Chinese food. So Good was able to scratch my itch while I was here. I ordered the steamed fish, some choi and sweet and sour pork (a classic). The fish was very fresh and tasty. The Choi was a little oily but it was still good. I don’t think I’ve ever had bad sweet and sour pork so no complaints there. The staff was attentive but if you’re expecting western hospitality, this is not the place (although no authentic Chinese restaurant is)“

“There were still quite a lot of people there today. The whole restaurant was almost full, and the takeout orders just kept coming in. It doesn't seem like it's gonna close down. I ordered three dishes and was so stuffed. I wanna share this Double Crispy with Fresh Chili, and also the Shredded Potatoes, Minced Pork and Eggplant. The portions are big and the prices are low. It's super cost - effective. And this place has a liquor license. Having spicy food and drinking alcohol is just a perfect match. While we were eating, the power went out for a while. They said the whole plaza lost power, and even the traffic lights went out. It was quite a weird experience. If it's really gonna close down, hurry up and give it a try before it's too late!“

“Its Take out only at this point. Food is good for daily office lunch too not too oily. The daily lunch special is perfect for us and we try different items every time. May be they can ask for the spice level too as we would prefer a bit spicy. Lady at the counter is very nice and polite and customer service is Great.“

“Ordered and assortment of Shanghai/Suzhou styke dishes. Each dish was very fresh and had an authentic taste that stands out amongst other restaurants serving similiar food across Richmond Hill and Markham.
The decor, notably the Santa statue out front in the middle of August may appear odd. However, this mismatch of decorations add a homestyle/welcoming charm.
Service was great with servers being very attentive to clearing the table, filling up tea and bringing the food out in a timely manner.“

“Starchiva Delight in Markham is a true standout for authentic Cantonese cuisine.
The table d’hôte menu was excellent, with beautifully prepared lobsters and the classic 贵妃鸡 (Guifei Chicken) done perfectly. Their rendition of the famous 菠萝咕咾肉 (sweet and sour pork with pineapple) was one of the best I’ve ever had—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.
Service was quick, courteous, and attentive without being intrusive. A wonderful dining experience from start to finish.
I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to enjoy high-quality Cantonese cooking in Markham.“

“This is a place with the best bang for the buck. You can get 2 lobster, half a steamed chicken, and 4 other dishes of your choosing for 85 dollars. It was enough to feed our table of 8. The food is cooked really well. Typical Cantonese food with great value. It seems like this is the place where time forgot to update the price.
The service is interesting to say the least. The servers are rude, inpatient and full of sass but we had a great time coming here. We were prompted before hand about the rudeness of this place and went in with those expectations. It’s hilarious the small server lady can dish out so much condescending words to her co workers and her patrons and still have people lining out the door. It became comedic to me and reminded me of stereotypical 1970 diners you see in movies.
Truly an awesome experience! Food is great for the price but sometimes in life, you have to be humbled to stay grounded. For 100 bucks, you can get a good meal for 8 people and a life lesson.“

“Great food and great service. Suggest to call if you are trying to reserve on the same day. Pretty quiet so it’s perfect if you want to have a conversation with family/friends. Loved the Peking Duck especially the soup ($5 extra if you want to add the soup). Would definitely come again!“
