“We had a emo themed birthday celebration on the weekend and we picked the evening slot (8pm-3am). My friends and I had a great time singing, dancing and snacking. The staff was very accomodating, friendly and helpful. They also gave us a nice treat from the house which was a very sweet touch :). We had a lot of fun memories. Highly recommended for friend-get-together. We will defenitely comback to try some of their other snacks as it was sold out.“

“I had my graduation celebration here a few weeks ago and it was PERFECT. This place is so unassuming from the outside, which I love. After walking in a narrow restaurant, we stepped into the most magical oasis in the back. Beautifully decorated with great natural light, fairy lights and wonderfully kind staff creating the most cozy and welcoming environment. I couldn't have asked for anything more and the food was also delicious and promptly served. We especially loved the skewers and beet salad! Thank you for such a wonderful experience. “Learned about this place from Too Good To Go app and decided to come here for lunch with a friend. It is a little hard to spot since it is hidden in a small street. We heard this place just open a month ago, so might explain why the place wasn't too busy. Good for us, since we could sit by the cozy lounge area. I got the Avocado Toast, and my friend the Mediterranean Cauliflower. The Toast was super balanced and beautiful (and so much avocado!). The Cauliflower had a lot of components and was very filling. We both agreed the food was 10/10. if you coming for Cocktail, would recommend the Amethyst and the Carribean Sour!“

“Our table had an amazing experience tonight, and a big part of that was our incredible server, Karina. She was warm, attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal.

Our group of friends gets together once a month, and this time we decided to try somewhere different from our usual neighborhood spot. We're so glad we did! The food was great, but Karina's outstanding service truly made the evening special.

By the time we left, everyone at the table was talking about how wonderful she was. She made us feel welcome, took great care of us, and helped make our night one to remember. We will definitely be back and hope to see Karina again. Thank you for such a fantastic dining experience!

My main concern was the portion size. We were told the serving was for 4 people. There were 3 of us, but it still felt a bit small for the price. I expected a bit more value for the money.“

The experience was worth mentioning as the Desi Bar & Grill's Interior was quite impressive, with the relaxed feeling of an entertaining restaurant with the food, bar service, and server courtesy. It is nice to hear the ever-green Indian Songs except for the loudness associated with the noise this created necessitating keeping it low will be dignified and relaxing for distinguished visitors to engage in audible mutual conversation rather than put restraint and blockage by loud music. Running of soft Indian 'Gazals' will add to the environment apart from Punjabi/Hindi songs.“

This was my experience … Sitting in the cozy patio heated up by some warm outdoor heaters and greeted by the Owner Antonio in a very friendly manner and leading me to their cozy outdoor patio space heated up by outdoor heaters. Rustic, clean and lit up patio style, latin music, full of people in the patio chatting and laughing. I was introduced to the chef and waitress and they were both very friendly. I was served a delicious classic sour margarita just the way I asked with less agave. They bring it out with a beautiful red pedal inside just lovely. Then my main dish for this day that I was craving was the Peruvian style ceviche. It was just enough salt and lemon to my taste served with chips tostaditos on the side. I also had 4 little tequenos which are pastries filled with cheese and a sauce and finally ended with dessert un flan !!! Definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family!“

“This is a beautifully designed hotel, a local/international hotspot, and is run by the most thoughtful, competent staff. It really offers something special and unique, and if you want to be in the entertainment district, the location is ideal. Lots of restaurants, shopping, and well, entertainment.

While I love this hotel, there are a few issues to be aware of.
-For me, the most crucial is that while this hotel is very fun and makes me feel young and celebratory, I don’t sleep well here, especially if it’s the weekend. The rooms aren’t sound proof and are only moderately light proof. Ask for ear plugs when you check in. I’ve stayed in high rooms, low rooms, cozy and large—and haven’t slept well in any of them.
-another hassle is parking if you’re driving here. This area of Toronto is a nightmare for driving and parking. I reserved a spot with spot hero app, but gps couldn’t get me there with the various driving restrictions. It took me a very frustrating hour to park, so if you’re taking a taxi, great, if you’re driving, expect a bit of a challenge.
-my final gripe is the booking experience. I go to Ace’s website, and it offers me various promotions and prompts me to log in, but inevitably the promotions aren’t actually available and choosing a room/rate isn’t clear or easy. Since Ace isn’t part of a big chain and booking as an ace member doesn’t benefit me, I’ve booked through the hotelTonight app. Its rate was over $100 less than the best rate offered by Ace. The only limitation is that you’ll likely be put in a tiny, ‘cozy’ room and can’t pay more for a larger room. I haven’t stayed in a suite here, but the large room isn’t so spacious, just bigger than cozy and there’s no bath until you go to suite, so hotelTonight makes sense for this hotel.“

“Just when you think they can't raise their game any higher Hy's manages to find a way. We attended the Calgary locations 10th Anniversary Celebration on Sept 26th and it was spectacular. The event was flawlessly organized and orchestrated by the Hy's team, the food was next level even by Hy's standards and the service exceeded anything we have experienced anywhere in North America even in the finest hotels. Bryant Olender added a classic background with piano and vocal stylings that perfectly suited the atmosphere. It was certainly the best evening we have at Hy's over the last decade, and I don't think I'm overstating it to say it was a "Once in a Lifetime" experience. A huge thankyou to Barb and the entire Hy's team!“

Our room was perfect and included a record player and a vinyl library on our floor! I appreciate things like the well stocked mini bar and quality toiletries. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. There was a water shut down issue on the street that was completely out of the hotels control and they compensated us with a discount, even though it was not their fault. It had really cozy and charming Christmas vibes too! We cannot wait to go back.“

Her wine list is interesting and extensive, covering most types and regions, but we would have liked more bottles from Ontario, although the ones provided are all really good. We shall be back.“

“I recently visited Clockwork for a beautiful tea for a close friend's big birthday celebration. There was a great selection of teas and delicious treats, including gluten-free and nut-free options for those with dietary restrictions. The atmosphere was perfect, and everyone had a wonderful time. Before the tea, I emailed Elise to make sure everything was perfect. She was very lovely and accommodating. The staff members Gemma and Leah were nice but also incredibly attentive, making our celebration even more special. The whole experience was great. I would highly recommend it!“

“Eggspectation was an excellent start to our morning. The restaurant is bright, clean, and modern, with a welcoming atmosphere that made it a great spot for breakfast.

The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The omelette was packed with fresh vegetables, the fruit was ripe and refreshing, and they had no problem accommodating a simple grilled chicken request for extra protein. The classic breakfast was cooked perfectly, with fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy breakfast potatoes, tasty sausages, and delicious strawberry crepes that were light and not overly sweet.

Service was friendly, attentive, and efficient. Our food came out quickly, and everything we requested was handled without issue.

We didn't have reaervations and the options were a 1 hour wait to sit inside or be seated right away on the patio. We chose the patio.
