“We had a emo themed birthday celebration on the weekend and we picked the evening slot (8pm-3am). My friends and I had a great time singing, dancing and snacking. The staff was very accomodating, friendly and helpful. They also gave us a nice treat from the house which was a very sweet touch :). We had a lot of fun memories. Highly recommended for friend-get-together. We will defenitely comback to try some of their other snacks as it was sold out.“

“I think this place is quite good. The sound system is nice and the happy hour is affordable since the price is the same for the entire duration (I usually go from 2pm-8pm) and you get one free drink. But the system is definitely easier for people who know Chinese, which is fine for me. English songs can be found as well, but it requires a bit more effort. The rooms don’t smell like cigarettes anymore, so do give it a try!“

“I had my graduation celebration here a few weeks ago and it was PERFECT. This place is so unassuming from the outside, which I love. After walking in a narrow restaurant, we stepped into the most magical oasis in the back. Beautifully decorated with great natural light, fairy lights and wonderfully kind staff creating the most cozy and welcoming environment. I couldn't have asked for anything more and the food was also delicious and promptly served. We especially loved the skewers and beet salad! Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We will sure be back :)“

“Learned about this place from Too Good To Go app and decided to come here for lunch with a friend. It is a little hard to spot since it is hidden in a small street. We heard this place just open a month ago, so might explain why the place wasn't too busy. Good for us, since we could sit by the cozy lounge area. I got the Avocado Toast, and my friend the Mediterranean Cauliflower. The Toast was super balanced and beautiful (and so much avocado!). The Cauliflower had a lot of components and was very filling. We both agreed the food was 10/10. if you coming for Cocktail, would recommend the Amethyst and the Carribean Sour!“

The experience was worth mentioning as the Desi Bar & Grill's Interior was quite impressive, with the relaxed feeling of an entertaining restaurant with the food, bar service, and server courtesy. It is nice to hear the ever-green Indian Songs except for the loudness associated with the noise this created necessitating keeping it low will be dignified and relaxing for distinguished visitors to engage in audible mutual conversation rather than put restraint and blockage by loud music. “We were pleasantly surprised and impressed with the ambience and attention to detail at the Broadview. It was beautifully remodeled, but still had unique historic detail and touches everywhere. Our room was perfect and included a record player and a vinyl library on our floor! I appreciate things like the well stocked mini bar and quality toiletries. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. There was a water shut down issue on the street that was completely out of the hotels control and they compensated us with a discount, even though it was not their fault. It had really cozy and charming Christmas vibes too! We cannot wait to go back.“

“I knew my soul was asking me for some Latin Flavor! This was my experience … Sitting in the cozy patio heated up by some warm outdoor heaters and greeted by the Owner Antonio in a very friendly manner and leading me to their cozy outdoor patio space heated up by outdoor heaters. Rustic, clean and lit up patio style, latin music, full of people in the patio chatting and laughing. I was introduced to the chef and waitress and they were both very friendly. I was served a delicious classic sour margarita just the way I asked with less agave. They bring it out with a beautiful red pedal inside just lovely. Then my main dish for this day that I was craving was the Peruvian style ceviche. It was just enough salt and lemon to my taste served with chips tostaditos on the side. I also had 4 little tequenos which are pastries filled with cheese and a sauce and finally ended with dessert un flan !!! Definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family!“

For drinks, I got the non alcoholic Silent G which was super tasty.
For food we ordered the chicken and tuna melt empanadas as well as the Dumplings - all were delicious !

“Not a bad note at any time. Monica is a very good server who is knowledgeable, engaging but not smothering. There when needed. The food is inventive and so tasty. Small bites. Two of us ordered five dishes and loved them all. The sommelier, Tessa, makes an amazing Arancello (better than Limoncello)! Her wine list is interesting and extensive, covering most types and regions, but we would have liked more bottles from Ontario, although the ones provided are all really good. We shall be back.“

There was a great selection of teas and delicious treats, including gluten-free and nut-free options for those with dietary restrictions. The atmosphere was perfect, and everyone had a wonderful time. Before the tea, I emailed Elise to make sure everything was perfect. She was very lovely and accommodating. The staff members Gemma and Leah were nice but also incredibly attentive, making our celebration even more special. The whole experience was great. I would highly recommend it!“

“Just when you think they can't raise their game any higher Hy's manages to find a way. We attended the Calgary locations 10th Anniversary Celebration on Sept 26th and it was spectacular. The event was flawlessly organized and orchestrated by the Hy's team, the food was next level even by Hy's standards and the service exceeded anything we have experienced anywhere in North America even in the finest hotels. Bryant Olender added a classic background with piano and vocal stylings that perfectly suited the atmosphere. It was certainly the best evening we have at Hy's over the last decade, and I don't think I'm overstating it to say it was a "Once in a Lifetime" experience. A huge thankyou to Barb and the entire Hy's team!“

We didn't have reaervations and the options were a 1 hour wait to sit inside or be seated right away on the patio. We chose the patio. We were served our drinks and appetizers within 1/2 hour but our main course came about an hour after but it was worth the wait. We will definitely return🍾🎉“
