“The resto is actually big enough to fit large parties!
Came w/ a large group of friends after a saturday badminton session.
You have to kinda enter from a sketchy back entrance. The server wasn't the friendliest but she was prompt when we needed her which was good.
The portion sizes are nice and big. They have pork bone soup which uses the traditional spine of the pig but they also have pork and pork ribs soup (which they're always sold out of .... sad face). You can get your gamjatang w/ noodles though which is cool.
I liked the flavour of the supreme chicken but it's a shame that the chicken wasn't that crispy. I say this with all honesty. The chicken was slightly overcooked because while the meat wasn't dry, it certainly wasn't juicy either. The taste was on point though.
4 stars overall (5 if the chicken had been crispy).
Will be back for sure because of those huge portions!“

“everytime I come here, everything tastes so good. Lots of value over here, lots of food for very cheap prices compared to other asian restaurants in the area. The spicy pork belly, pork bone soup, short ribs were amazing 10/10. everything comes in generous portions including the sides. 100% recommend this place for take out for a chill night at home“

“Great legitimate Korean spot for takeout. The lady is always very cheerful, and the food is top notch. The food is much better quality than other restaurants at the same price point. How many places can you get bibimbap with 8 different toppings? Yum.“

“One of my favourite korean fried chicken places! My fav favours are honey avocado and spicy creamy garlic. I love how fresh, juicy and flavourful they are.
I love the cash discount! I dislike how theres limited seats for dine in so its mainly takeout only.“

“Nice spot to grab some pork bone soup or other Korean dishes. The food all came out fairly quickly the the side dishes were very tasty especially the corn.
Felt that the pork bone soup was just good but not the best I've had. Portions were also on the larger side. Would be back if I am craving Korean and in the area.“

“Food tastes fantastic. We love ordering the seafood pancake! The food is also great for sharing. Serving size is more than enough for two hungry people. The servers were also very attentive to our needs. Serving time was quick too! Definitely going back.“

“Took 20 minutes from time we put in our order to when we got our food and we were the only table when we came in.
The chicken was delicious, crispy but juicy on the inside.
There are maybe a total of 7 tables in the restaurant so it is not good for big groups.
I found the restaurant to be stuffy and there were a lot of flies.. was not impressed.
Unsure if I would come again but I would be open to doing take out.“

“Food is amazing but price point is a bit debatable. I do feel like they’re starting to cut costs. Before we could get more than one sauce on the side, but last time I went they only allowed one sauce on the side per corn dog.
Last time my sister went the service was also pretty rude when my sister accidently said half cheese half mozzarella instead of half cheese half sausage. Same thing for when they asked beef or chicken sausage.“

“I always have a great time here. Friendly atmosphere and all you can eat. A lot of food options at dinner time. Lunch menu isn't as big but there is a price difference to reflect this. Staff is always friendly. Never had a bad experience with any of them.“

“My girlfriend and I had decided to try this Korean-Japanese restaurant nearby. We received excellent customer service, and the food was great as well. James was such a very friendly, polite, and professional employee. I felt like I was treated well—one of the best customer services I have experienced. I would highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Went here last minute with friends. The food here was pretty good - got the 1st 7.5 dm chicken platter on the menu. We got the original chicken and thought it went pretty well with the sauce in the middle. It doesn't look like much, but it was actually pretty filling. I also thought the service was pretty consistent and the atmosphere was pretty cozy. Would come back when I'm in the area!“

“R08 Bibimbap wow! Visually appealing right out of the bag. Packaged well. Tasty! I included my receipt but please keep in mind that I ordered through Uber eats and many other charges are associated with that service. Ordering the same meal in the restaurant or picking it up yourself to take it home will be less expensive.“

“Follow @bredgyeats for more food reviews and posts!
The Gamjatang offers very generous portions, with a potato, napa cabbage, banchan and a filling bowl of rice, with 4-5 meaty and fatty pork bones. The meat is incredibly tender and moist, effortlessly slipping off the bone and absorbing the rich umami taste of the broth.
The broth stands out with its oiliness, and flavour extracted directly from the gochugaru and pork bone, giving it a boost in fragrance and flavour than most. While the pork can become quite filling, a splash of red vinegar brightens up each bite with a touch of acidity and sweetness, balancing the richness. The banchan also included a pan-fried scallion pancake, which was a surprising sight to see.“

“The fried chicken was crispy and fried fresh. There was a wide variety of flavours, like soy garlic and honey garlic. The rice cakes were also really soft and well seasoned. The price is a bit expensive for a filling meal split between friends.“

“I’ve been coming to this dumpling spot in Scarborough for years and it’s still my go-to place for the best dumplings. It’s a small, no-frills restaurant near Sheppard Avenue, and while the interior is a bit outdated and dim, the dumplings make up for it.
I ordered three different flavors this time: celery, sauerkraut, and green pepper dumplings. All of them were exceptionally tasty, and you could really taste each filling. The dumplings are handmade, and the texture was perfect, whether steamed or boiled. Every bite was full of flavor, especially the celery dumplings — you could actually taste the freshness of the celery!
We also tried a Korean cold noodle dish, but it was a bit underwhelming compared to the dumplings.
Service is average, and the washroom is downstairs, which could be inconvenient. It’s a small spot, so don’t expect much in terms of ambiance, but when it comes to authentic dumplings, this place is unbeatable.
⭐️ Overall rating: 4/5
💡 Tip: If you’re after delicious dumplings, this place is a must-visit!“

“I ordered the salmon teriyaki today, and the food was so delicious! The rice was so soft and flavourful. It was my first time having purple rice. The salmon was fresh and the teriyaki sauce was fantastic! The spring roll was great as well. Definitely a hidden gem! Highly recommend!“

“have a lovely experience with this restaurant. We suppose to be eating at gyubee however we are unable to book a reservation on time. and we try the chako, the service 100% satisfyinfg. accomodate us from the time we sat on the table. replenish the meat and condiments and ask for time to time if we needed something. Worth the money and experience I might say. must a try for anyone looking for bbq grill and were looking forward to be back again. thanks!“

“It should be an old restaurant that has been open for 20 years. If you like Korean food, you must not miss it. The taste is old-fashioned, including bibimbap, pork bone soup, cold noodles, sweet and sour pork, and various pots. They are all very good. It’s a taste that you’ll miss if you don’t eat it for a while. Hope it keeps going.“
