“I'm a little shy to admit that I visited (or ordered from) Chapayom several times within less than a week while in Toronto for a work trip. But honestly, no regrets.

In-person, especially on a cold day, this spot has a nice vibe. The woman working there was patient and friendly while my friend and I stood slightly overwhelmed by the menu. Even on a snowy day, several tables were occupied, so it felt lively without being too busy or noisy, making it easy to carry on a conversation. The second time I went back was with a coworker specifically to try the mango sticky rice. The portion was generous, so I def wouldn't suggest ordering it if you are already full, but it was so good! The third time was a delivery order, and we went all in on the mango sticky rice dessert drinks. None of us had seen that dessert flavour offered as a drink before outside of Chapayom. Everyone loved it, though 1 or 2 people found it a tad sweet.

Overall, I'm def a fan and would want to stop by again the next time I'm in town.“

“As somebody with a well-attuned palette for tea, the products are consistently phenomenal. Visually pleasing—I like how you can see them brewing the loose tea and mixing matcha right in front of you. I would love to see what a full dine-in service is like someday!

BUT...the place seems way understaffed. Granted, I've only visited earlier in the day, but other comments suggest it doesn't get better. One can't ignore the stress the lone barista must be under. This makes wait times long, which I don't mind, but you should avoid visiting during busy hours or if you're in a rush. The only other location I've seen also had this problem.

In defense of the staff—you can't expect them to be all sunshine and rainbows and take time out of their constant influx of orders to chat about your day or answer your detailed questions about the tea's origins or whatever. Maybe they forgot to greet you, maybe you slipped their mind—oh well!Not excusing bad service, I'm just saying that most of the time they're not trying to be rude.

Bottom line is, I love the place but management needs to be more fair.“

“I've been here three times now and have always enjoyed the unique menu and presentation of the drinks. While they serve everything from fruit teas to smoothies to coffee, the signature drink is the Tea with Nut Cream. You start by choosing a base beverage (for example Jasmine Green tea) and then choose a nut cream topping. You begin your drink by using a small spoon to scoop the cream and then can blend it into the drink with your straw. In case you need help, there are instructions on your cup that tell you how to best enjoy it.

There's a large variety of flavour options, and it gives you an incentive to mix and match and keep trying new combinations.

Seating is limited to 5 tables so you may have a hard time staying in depending on when you go.

A word of warning about the bathroom. When I went most recently, there were no paper towels or hand dryer. Also, there is a large step down when walking back out into the hallway, and you can lose your balance/get discoordinated if you aren't expecting it.

Overall, this is one of the most innovative bubble tea options in the city, and is well worth your time.“

“Bobo Bubble Tea is honestly the best bubble tea I’ve had in the city, and I’m saying that as someone who has tried a lot of places. The drinks actually taste rich and full of flavour, not watered down at all. I came here two days ago and ordered the Oreo milkshake and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. “I’ve visited several Kung Fu Tea locations around the city, but the one nestled along Bloor Street, right in Koreatown, is by far my favorite. It might be easy to pass by among the other storefronts, but it’s absolutely a spot worth stopping in. Here's the deal: They sell real durian smoothies. Yes actual durian, the fruit that is memed for its stench. I have a genetic ability to tolerate (yup, it's like the cilantro thing) so I love it but I cleared out the cafe when I began drinking it. For that it gets a 5 stars. No other reason.“

But what I do think is horrible is how this location allows their staff to work under grueling conditions , especially during a heat wave that is currently 43 degrees. A simple fan does not suffice and Im sure fresh fruit makes more then enough revenue to provide safe and comfortable working conditions. “First time at Chatime! I’ve seen them all over but never actually gone in. I got a matcha milk (?) iced. It was a little overwhelming as I wanted dairy free or at least lactose free milk and that isn’t possible with all the drinks. What I really wanted was a coconut milk iced match latte, but I don’t think they do that. I loved being able to customize the sweetness and ice! The drink was good. The customer service was great! The atmosphere was lacking. I didn’t really want to sit and enjoy, so i left and walked while sipping. It felt a bit cramped and oddly laid out. I can imagine it would be annoying when busy.“

The shop itself is clean, cozy, and aesthetically pleasing. Prices are on the higher side, but for a quality indulgence, it’s worth an occasional splurge. Definitely a cute spot to visit!“

Their menu is extensive with categories like milk tea, smoothie, fresh milk, and fresh tea (black/green). They offer agar balls which isn't commonly seen in bubble tea places, but also offer lychee popping boba and the staples like tapioca, pudding and grass jelly. Customization is offered for the sweetness and ice levels. This bubble tea place shares the same staff members as the Sushi Place Restaurant. Their staff is okay with speed, they have the equipment to shake the beverages. Containers felt pretty sturdy. Good to satisfy the minimal cravings, but there are better options if you don't mind the distance.“

“Came for the Nikke collab. They have the postcards and drink sleeves, as well as the codes for pulls. Drinks flavours are ok; preference is the yogurt lychee one. The other one is pretty fruity tasting and has activated charcoal in it. Be careful drinking the charcoal one if you’re taking medication.

I had planned to spend some time and relax at coco, but it was TOO HOT - surprisingly, it was even cooler outside.
