“What a wonderful experience! The warmth and hospitality of the Yukashi staff was only surpassed by the food which was absolutely sensational. One of the most memorable dinners I have ever experienced, and so happy I saved this one for a special event.“

“Had Valentines dinner there last night. The first dinner package was mainly sashimi but the changed it to sushi for us at a reasonable extra cost . The food was excellent and the wait staff were attentive and friendly. Will definitely go back. An extra was that the waitress who greeted us was Japanese.“

“We ate here the last two nights, because we absolutely had to come back for more before leaving the city. I am so impressed with the quality of the food and the service. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in town!“

“My only regret was not visiting earlier. The shoyu classic was incredibly good; the pork was very tender and the broth was smoky and hearty. Our waitress was very charming and friendly. Bit cramped with lunch crowd but was more focused on the good food. Highly recommend!“

“My favourite omakase in Toronto!!! The menu’s variety — you get many textures, flavours, cooking styles (grilled, raw, broiled, tempura, rice etc.). That keeps things interesting. Kappo Sato feels like a restaurant where love for Japanese food and craft really shows. Really love this place❤️“

“Shoushin was one of the best Omakase experiences I've had outside of Japan hands down. Excellent service that can rival any fine dining establishment. The sake list was extensive and well thought. The food was perfectly timed and seasoned to perfection. Each piece of nigiri showcased the chef's personality. The perfect rice to accompany the perfectly prepared fish. If you're looking for an intricately prepared sushi roll this may not be your kind of restaurant. If you're looking for more traditional and simple flavors that showcase the fish and seasonality, this is the restaurant for you.“

“This is our second time being here and the experience was like it has been our first time being there. The had a different type of menu this from the summer menu. I love watching the chef make our food. It was a great to just wait in between meals and it didn't feel rush to eat the meal. It is not the kind of place where you want to just gobble the food up right away. They had crafted certain hints of flavors within the sushi and it's extra special. I will definitely come back!“

“I’m a foodie who loves finding great spots, and eating alone at Haru Shabu Shabu was so much fun! The staff was really kind and helped me pick the tastiest dishes. The food was fresh and super yummy, and the place felt warm and cozy. It’s one of my favorite restaurants, and I can’t wait to come back! You should totally try it!“

“Looking at the window I was asked if I wanted to see what they looked like as there was a display. I was sold when I did. The crab and the spicy beef one were SO good, Presentation was also beautiful. Quick and delicious grab and go snack. Spicy was my favorite!“

“This is my favourite sushi spot on Queen East. While a smaller and more intimate restaurant it gas sufficient seating and a cozy atmosphere. It is a bit on the pricer side for what sushi can be but the good thing is the quality definitely matches the price point. All of the items and dishes we have gotten were fresh, well presented and tasty! Service is warm and quick which is not often a pairing you find in most restaurants but you will find it here.“

“I stopped by Kinson in the Bathurst and Dundas area and ordered the Sushi Roll Tray B, and wow — this place is a hidden gem! Even though I forgot to take pictures, every roll looked beautiful and tasted even better. The fish quality was top notch — super fresh, buttery, and clean-tasting. You can tell they take pride in using high-quality ingredients. The portions were generous too, definitely more filling than I expected.
What really made the experience stand out was how friendly everyone was. From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me with a smile and made me feel welcome. The chef even came out to say hello, which gave the whole experience such a personal touch. That combination of hospitality and excellent sushi really sets Kinson apart.
If you’re looking for fresh, well-portioned sushi with service that makes you feel like family, I can’t recommend Kinson enough. I’ll definitely be coming back (and next time I’ll remember to snap some photos!).“

“We found this place after a night out and when I tell you this is the best sushi I have ever had I mean it!! Charlie was our server and he was so sweet and kind, we were all wearing nice dresses and he gave us aprons to make sure they wouldn’t get dirty. The sushi itself was huge and absolutely delicious and the whole time he would check on us and even brought us complimentary noodle soup and orange slices at the end of our meal. The atmosphere is so cozy and comforting, something you wouldn’t expect to find in the middle of Etobicoke. He even got on his tippy toes just to take some group photos of us that came out great! Also the amount you pay for the volume you get is absolutely phenomenal!“

“We had a delightful dining experience at Megumi Mazesoba. Their culinary offerings were exceptionally delectable, and the ambiance was both cozy and invigorating. Furthermore, the establishment is family-friendly, making it an ideal destination for individuals with children. The owner and staff demonstrated remarkable professionalism and courtesy throughout our visit. Based on this positive experience, we anticipate revisiting this establishment in the future. ❤️“

“We were craving sushi, and found this little place. We ordered Takoyaki, dynamite roll sushi, and chicken karaage. The takoyaki is a bit salty, maybe because it has too much sauce, but the Chicken Karaage and dynamite sushi was really good! Overall, I would highly recommend this place! We'll be back here again for sure.“

“We’ve been to DOKKAEBI multiple times as we live in the neighborhood. This was an awesome find and a great addition to the Bloor Wesr / High Park área. Food is always tasty and on point plus service is outstanding. Super nice servers, in particular the chef’s wife who I believe is one of the owners of the place. She’s always super welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend this place!“

“I just returned from Japan two months ago and although we didn’t make it into the Michelin star sushi restaurant we had planned to get in to, I must say that no sushi we had in Japan topped the flavors we experienced here at Iwami. The premium sushis are definitely worth experiencing. The sesame sauce was incredible. My wife had the chicken infused with truffle. It knocked me out. The udon my son had was again better than many we had in Japan. Nice work chef! You did good!“

“This place is great for karaoke, you can sing absolutely anything you can imagine. The rooms are comfy and the food and drinks are great. Only downside is it's rather expensive (XL room is $90 per hour, minimum $15 spend per person on weekends). Also they don't allow for separate bills or individual food/drink purchases, which is kind of inconvenient.“

“First Omakase experience, it was better than expected. Every bite was delicious! My favourite were the Toro/Tuna belly, Scallops, Salmon, torched items... I guess I loved it all. Highly recommend. Worth the quality and experience for that price!
This is recommended for open minded people who are willing to have raw, semi-cook and cooked fish items.“

“A nice little spot just barely off the corner of Bloor and Bathurst. They offer fairly portioned and priced donburi options with a cute vibe inside the store. The wall of sticky notes made for an entertaining view while enjoying my salmon donburi.“

“This place is phenomenal! Firstly, it’s the best sushi in the area. Not by a little but by a long shot! Trust me. Just try it. But also, the staff are amazing. I made a mistake by ordering something that I’m allergic to and they fixed it for me with a smile. Super kind of them because it was entirely my fault. I love this place“

“I had a Diet Coke, pork okonomiyaki, and yakisoba for about $37. Both the okonomiyaki and yakisoba were delicious. The okonomiyaki was perfectly cooked, not too sweet, and had a good amount of meat. The yakisoba was also well cooked, had lots of protein (shrimp, beef, etc.), and tasted great.
The portion sizes were good—not small, but not excessively large either. The restaurant itself is quite small but has a good atmosphere. The servers were quick and helpful!“

“A place where Japanese goes for their comfort eats! Not your regular ramen place. This place has more and even gives you a compliment dish like our sashimi with amazing sauces! My husband was so impressed with how much care and love each dish was made! Even their dish ware and spoons are not plastic! If you love real Japanese food this is the place!“

“We go to Toronto once a year. One of our first stops once we arrive is dinner at imanishi Japanese kitchen. Our family of four love their entire menu and how everything is a sharing plate. This most recent visit, we had four servings of Hamachi Sashimi which was fresh, sublime and especially yummy. Our ten year old ate most of the servings and loved it. We also had the fluke carpaccio which was equally delicious. The anchovy potato salad, corn kakiage and prawn and cilantro salad were equally first rate. The different tastes were umami and everything was executed in a first rate manner. The only large plate we got was the Gyudon (thinly sliced beef on rice) which our kids enjoyed very much. We could have ordered the entire menu but you need to save a little room for the Japanese toast with Taro ice cream. We left very very satisfied and we’ll be back. We highly recommend.“
