“We were craving hot pot and decided to try Liuyishou Hotpot Scarborough, and it turned out to be a great decision.
We booked a table two days in advance for a Sunday evening and were seated immediately. This time we ordered smart and didn’t overdo it. We chose the Liu’s House Special and Sukiyaki soup bases—both were well balanced, flavorful, and not overwhelming.
Our order included marbled beef, New Zealand lamb, flat iron beef, beef balls, udon noodles, plus watermelon and aloe juices. Everything tasted fresh and high quality. A standout item was the beef brisket slices served as a side dish—rich, tender, and packed with flavor. Easily my favorite dish of the night.
Overall, this was one of the best hot pot experiences we’ve had. Even the self-serve starter section was well stocked, clean, and thoughtfully maintained.
Special thanks to Rita and Minnie for their friendly service and patience in explaining everything clearly. The restaurant does get busy, so reservations are strongly recommended.
We’ll definitely be returning.“

“Ordered No. 46 sweet & sour mock chicken & No. 56 fried rice noodles with mock beef. Chicken was really tasty, well fried and fluffy. Beef a little less in taste, but also good. Portions are huge! We were not able to eat it all. One main rice is enough for two people - without problem. Staff is nice and super friendly.“

“As someone from Mumbai who constantly craves authentic Indian snacks, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste at Thindi Caffe. Their benne dosa and podi idli are absolutely spot on—fresh, flavorful, and reminiscent of home. The chutney served with it is the perfect complement, elevating the whole experience. If you're looking for a place that delivers authentic South Indian flavors, this is it. I highly recommend Thindi Caffe to anyone seeking a taste of India right here!“

“You wont even realize this is a vegetarian and vegan place by the just tasting the food.
Huge portions and so much flavour.
10/10 service as well.
10/10 ambiance.
The khao soi has so much flavour and they add vegan meat (that tasted almost identical to real meat)
Great experience over all. Must visit.“

“By far the best restaurant in Toronto so far. I came here for my birthday and the experience was transcendent. First, the service was top tier level, the waiter that took care of us was gentlemen with a great vibe. Best server I had in my life. They seated us according to our request (nice seating away from the entrance). They also printed a birthday card for me which was very considerate. They also called and emailed asking us very detailed oriented questions ahead of the dinner which was top notch. They also switched our utensils every meal which is a small detail yet powerful dinner experience detail. Sparkling water was also complimentary versus other restaurants. The pace of the food was perfect as well and they also gave me a small birthday cake!
Food was immaculate. An eye opening experience. I cannot even describe the food/art that I have eaten. Nothing disappointed me. They used the best of the best ingredients. Every dish was perfectly curated and every bite was orgasmic. If I was a multi millionaire, I would come here everyday. All the food was at the right temperature, nothing got stuck to our teeth, and I would say the egg & toast dish was one very memorable.
Now as for the atmosphere, the decor was elegant but the restaurant isn’t very big, thus the difficulty of getting a reservation. It was comfy and treated us extremely well.
Overall I recommend it for special occasions, not for a huge party but great for 4 people family or with your significant other. I will be coming back for sure one day.“

“LOVE this place! The most delicious burrittos I've ever had! AND had to take 1/2 of them home as they were so filling. I had the shrimp while my friend had the smoked lamb and we shared them. Both were excellent. We loved sitting at the window table and watching everyone on College St. walk by with their dogs. Also $10 for a glass of Prosecco!?! Bargain! Decent prices and great service and atmosphere. We will be back. PS. Great place to hang out before a show at The Royal Theatre literally steps away.“
“The best food I have ever eaten. LITERALLY FELT FULL AND ENERGIZED

“We were visiting from France and had researched restaurants before our arrival.
OMG Chubbys did not disappoint, the food is outstanding, the service warm and friendly and atmosphere was buzzing but chilled.
The chicken curry is top notch and the ginger beer packs a massive punch.“

“Happy hour menus have been making a comeback with the weakening economy. Planta’s menu is one of the most extensive and offers great value to boot. While beer and wine ring in at $6 and $9, respectively, it’s the $10 cocktails that wet my whistle. You can’t go wrong with the lych please, a gin cocktail lightly sweetened with lychee, lemon, and pineapple with a hibiscus sugar rim that delights.
Planta also provides a huge food offering that doesn’t skimp on portions. With the lettuce wraps ($12) being half off their regular menu price ($23), I expected a shrunken helping the equivalent to two or three wraps. So, when the full plate arrived with enough of the gochujang covered crispy fried tofu and roasted Brussels sprouts to make seven wraps we were flabbergasted. Oh no, we ordered way too much food!
The menu offers no description with the chick’n fried mushrooms ($7) but they turn out to be lightly battered oyster mushrooms that’s dusted with salt and pepper served with a thinned sweet chili sauce. They’re dangerously addictive and so tasty that I could swap these for a chicken nugget any day.
In a similar vein, the crust of the cauliflower wings ($8) was so crispy despite not being overly battered. Drizzles of unagi sauce and sweet chili mayo covered the vegetables giving each bite a burst of flavour.
For a lighter nibble, the summer rolls ($6) are an option. It’s just filled with a lot of carrot and rice noodles and needed more of the other ingredients (papaya, tofu, and herbs) to stand out.
The crispy rice ($9) would work better left intact, so the starch doesn’t become cold and dry. At least they put plenty of the spicy ahi watermelon and guacamole on top to balance out the tasteless rice ball.
I preferred the spicy crab hand roll ($5 each), which was stuffed to the gills with shredded hearts of palm tossed with ponzu and spicy mayo. It’s more of a taco than handroll so it isn’t the easiest to eat but does mean there’s little rice and tons of filling.
The sole dish that threw us both off was the spinach and artichoke dip ($11). How can you mess up a creamy dip? By adding so much coconut oil into the recipe that coconut was all we could taste. It felt like I was eating a savoury coconut cream pie with chunks of vegetables. Its only saving grace was they don’t skimp on the tortilla chips… too bad we didn’t need more than a few each.“

“My partner and I celebrated Valentine's Day at Grey Gardens and were extremely happy with the food and service. The staff were all very welcoming and knowledgeable. It was a set menu for the evening and each dish was served fresh and with care. The standout dish for us was the squid ink udon noodles with curry and lobster, simply divine! We would happily eat at Grey Gardens again.“

“My favorite bar in Toronto! The interior of the bar is unlike any in the city. The staff, personable and individually interesting. The regulars, quite cool and the irregulars that just shoot in for a drink, are usually chill.
I have a soft spot for the place for personal reasons, but everyone I bring loves the place. Check it out, it's nestled between Milou and Project Gigglewater (usually outside of Summer, you'll see people awkwardly walk into Ruddy, thinking it's Milou or Gigglewater).“

“In December 2025, my daughter chose to celebrate her birthday at Yukashi Japanese Cuisine, and we were simply amazed. We chose the Omakase menu, an experience that also includes thoughtfully paired beverages and sakes with each course.
Chef Daisuke Izutsu and his entire team delivered an exceptional experience from start to finish. Since we didn’t know exactly what to expect, we arrived feeling a bit anxious. Right at the beginning, we were welcomed with a sake described as an “ice breaker” and that’s exactly what it was. From that moment on, we relaxed, felt completely at ease, and enjoyed the experience to the fullest.
With each course presented, we were immersed in the stories behind the dishes, enriched by an incredible attention to detail and followed by an explosion of flavors with every plate we tasted. The experience went far beyond dining it was a true journey.
To end the evening on a perfect note, we were served the much-anticipated dessert truly indescribable, with a unique and unforgettable flavor. As a beautiful and thoughtful gesture, the team also surprised us with a small birthday cake topped with a candle, beautifully presented on a plate decorated with “Happy Birthday.” This moment perfectly reflected the care, warmth, and attention that made the entire experience so special.
Highly recommended and without a doubt, we will be back!“

“After a lighthearted evening watching & Juliet, we made our way to Scaddabush for some Italian comfort food.
All of EnD Adventures was together — our daughters, friends, and the two of us — which already set the tone for a memorable night out.
Despite the restaurant being packed, we were seated quickly. Our server, Noah, stopped by early with menus and the nightly specials. It was clear the entire team was hustling; drinks took longer than usual, but Noah was doing everything he could to keep the pace.
The space itself was a delight. Warm lighting, thoughtful décor, and those whimsical canned vegetables added a quirky charm that made the room feel inviting and full of character. There was always something interesting to notice.
The fresh mozzarella — their signature — absolutely lived up to its reputation. Creamy, rich, and beautifully prepared, it was easily the standout of the table.
Our meals arrived hot and exactly as ordered, and everyone enjoyed their choices. The only real downside was the long gaps between check-ins for drink refills or questions. With several large tables nearby and the restaurant buzzing, it was understandable, though still noticeable.
All in all, it was a lovely evening, and we’d happily return — perhaps to a quieter location next time, just to see how the service feels when the pace isn’t quite so intense.

“We had a lovely evening celebrating our 15th anniversary! Food was top quality, and very obviously prepared with care. Flavour combinations were unique but still showcased the high quality proteins. “A unforgettable dining experience last 07/04/25 (Friday)! Shoutout to Chef/Owner Danny Cancino and his team for an impeccable service! 👏 Every dish and the complimentary additions were phenomenal! The modern twist in Filipino cuisine was definitely well done!💖🌟 Here are some of my standout favorites 🤯: • Pineapple + Kombu (Seaweed): Refreshing and light, with crispy seaweed balancing the sweet, citrusy pineapple 💛 • Duck Ensaymada w/ Duck Prosciutto and Truffle Butter: One of the fluffiest breads I’ve ever had, inspired by classic ensaymada. Spreading truffle butter on it was chef’s kiss—it melts in your mouth! 😭👌 • Scallop Inari Lumpia: Beautifully presented with fried sushi rice, ginger-chili dressed Argentinian shrimp, and seared scallop on top. The rice was fluffy and so tasty I could eat it endlessly! • Iberico Pork Collar: Juicy, saucy, and umami-packed tender pork with chicharon, lettuce leaves, and sesame aioli. The pickled papaya (atchara) was a nice touch—I don’t usually eat atchara, but I loved it with this! • Beef Short Rib Kare-Kare: The star of the show! 🌟👏 Rich, classic kare-kare flavors with blanched bok choy and eggplant. The thick, peanuty sauce was delightful—if only there was rice! 🤣😋 Hope as many people as possible get to try this ultimate gourmet experience, whether you’re visiting Toronto or a Canada local! 🌟 Thank you Mineral!☺️Until we visit again!“
