“We had such a great experience at pFriem in Milwaukie, and a huge part of that was Amanda behind the bar. She was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely fun to chat with throughout our visit.

Amanda took the time to answer all of our beer questions and made excellent recommendations based on what we liked. I had never even heard of a side pour before, and she explained it perfectly and made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

“One of the best meals we've had in Portland. Did not have any expectations going into it and were surprised at how good everything was. Had the crudo, plantains, steak frites and khao sai. One of the best things they do here is ask about allergies firs thing and then took our menus to the chef and had him mark down the entire menu with what we could and could not eat--wish every single restaurant did this. Definitely will be back.“

“Wonderful food and a true mom and pop shop. It's a small and quaint restaurant, definitely reserve a table if you're planning to eat in. We went at dinner time and it was pretty busy. Waited about 20 minutes for take out and it was worth it! The wienerschnitzel sandwich was great and the cherry cheese pastry is so good!“

“I make it a point to visit Canard Burnside on all of my trips to Portland! The unique flavors and presentations on their menu keep me coming back for more. Had the roasted beets last night for the first time and the flavor was out of this world.“

“Everything we ate was truly delightful, but do not sleep on the Ahi cannoli - wow wow wow; the snap pea salad - so herbaceous and fresh with a hint of pica; the bacalao croquetícas (fritters); the grilled carrots with chevre - I think we as a society should be grilling everything!; the caramel-corn pork belly - so tender, so unique (though I do wish there were more sauce & nasturtium leaves in the dish...); or the insanely rich Basque-style cheesecake with a hint of salt & amaretto! Wines were also delicious. And natural! Added bonus. The restaurant itself is very trendy but in a cute, vibey way. We aren’t usually French toast people but we ordered it anyway. WOW! I am now French toast people. The service is always good and fast. Such a great spot. Highly recommend.“

“One of my all-time favorite restaurants! Our meal did not disappoint. I love the blini with trout caviar, Caesar salad and other small plate specials. Cabezon offers a homey and inviting atmosphere with great service and a friendly vibe. I have never had a disappointing meal at this wonderful restaurant.“

“This is a great first date place. The food presentation was outstanding. However, we felt it was a little blan. They use RC soda products here, which are flat at the bar but have carbonation if gotten from the back. Amazing happy hour!

“February 8th, 2026 menu & service was absolutely divine! Start to finish service and all staff present were absolutely charming and very attentive. Presentation was beautiful, the atmosphere felt very warm, cozy and inviting. Plates were absolutely stunning in all ways. The textures in each dish were just so perfect, exciting and unique. The flavors complimented each other so well and each course was perfectly balanced, flowing nicely into the next. Everything was absolutely perfect, the thrill of enjoying such technical yet plant based preperations genuinly brings tears of joy. Thank you so for so perfectly encapsulating the possibilities of plant based foods! 💚💚 We were happy to hear about the recipes staying and going from the menu, we couldn't agree more with the choices. The Kombucha pairings were magical. Meadowland was perfect. The respect payed to plants here, the absolutely mind blowing creativity that leaves you craving more, makes Astera stand out as a historical evolution for plant based flavor, technical creativity, creation, service and passion in the plant based realm in the U.S. Astera is heaven on earth. “Love love love this place. One a street where there has been a lot on construction changes and old buildings being torn down, this place has taken advantage of square footage in a home. Both covered and not covered outside seating areas. In door has a great bar! Customer Service is amazing, even when its busy. The Beer, fantastic! I tried all of them on tap. Bathrooms are large. Food was amazing! I highly recommend.“

“The Muddy Rudder has (in my opinion) some of the best pizza that I've had in Portland. Their menu is pretty straightforward, good appetizers, pizzas, calzones, and some sandwiches and salads. Their beer list is ever-changing and always very good, there is a full bar so options for boozy drinks are available and kids can even get their own Shirley Temples, lime-aid, etc.
The staff is always friendly and the music is always great, whether it is played over the stereo or one of the many live acts they have performing on a number of nights each month.
When the weather is cold and the fireplace is burning there aren't many other places I'd rather be outside of my home.“

“Mmm, mmm, mmm. Got the Fresh Prince and it was so fresh, it talked back! Just kidding, sandwiches don't talk but if they did, this one is whispering sweet nothings to my belly. The bread was the true Prince. Opted for sourdough and it was tasty and even had a bit of crunch! No rubbery texture causing the ingredients to slide out with each bite. I got the small size as they come in large or small and it was perfect for what I needed since I wasn't overly hungry. Great first visit. I'll have to keep this one on my radar!“

“My friend and I died at three restaurants last week. Two of these restaurants were very expensive and had great fusion menus that were highly acclaimed. We rated those restaurants 7 1/2 and 8 1/2. We rated radio room that had a much lower price, much better music and great atmosphere at 9 1/2.“

“This review is based on our last few minutes paying the bill, everything else was top notch. Our group of 4 was chatting when our bills arrived and continued to visit, and our waiter came by to gather abit later and told him it was ready. At this time we Bagan to review our bills to pay one with a card and we were paying cash. As soon as I placed the cash in their bifold and placed on the table another waiter came to the table and stated being just like our waiter and dressed similarly. Worth noting she was about 110 5 foot or so with our waiter at 220 plus and 6ft or so wit a great beard. I stated that our waiter had much bigger feet and a great beard with my wife commenting about our matching hairlines... lol right. No next thing we get is she identifies as law enforcement and proceeds to walk away with an elevated voice "I'll kick beat you down" I turned left to my friend and sain now she wants to wrestle. At this point mist people are watching and then just short of screaming she yells "I'll Kick your A$$". And indeed the entire restaurant is watching on what was going on, I simply went back to visiting with our group not knowing what was next. Not long afterwards our waiter walked by and as he did thank me for the tip. No follow up from management nothing. So probably about 15 minutes after this a few other groups had left and we started our departure and still nothing. Over the years we have been here many times as a couple and a few large groups, after this event not to sure we could return for an enjoyable dining experience with their staff threatening some ones life unprovoked. “This place is the vibe. They set the tone for this neighborhood years ago and the cool kids never left. Beer, booze and food- all winning. Service is spot on. “Its been hard to be impressed lately. I’ve been in the industry for a number of years, and post pandemic good help is scarce. It’s been an ongoing struggle for the restaurant industry and i just have to say that I didn’t feel that way about this place on any level. A party of around 14 of us were looked after so well by our server/s. The DELICIOUS food came out fast, and hot, and all at the same time! The vibe was chill and not frantic. atmosphere was perfect. Clean. I had the “Mr. October”. Fried chicken breast over a fresh homemade biscuit, sausage gravy, bacon, fried potatoes.. absolute fire. Paired with their bacon infused bloody Mary topped with candied bacon.. sheesh! Only bad thing I have to say is that it’s not on my side of town and that part sucks! 😂 Go out of your way for this one if you have to. Totally worth it.“

“I had a memorable dinner at Higgins Restaurant. I ordered their Oregon Mushroom Set Menu, and each dish reflected their respect for local ingredients. The wild mushroom bisque was particularly delicious, with a smooth texture and rich aroma. The waiter was very professional and attentive, explaining the background of each dish. The elegant yet relaxed atmosphere was perfect for a leisurely meal with friends or family.“

“My son stopped at Bastions this past June 2025 and purchased 2 good sizes of your coffee cake. It was exceptional and so moist. We couldn't put our forks down! We're the ones who purchased a pecan pie from bastions last Christmas and a pumpkin pie last Thanksgiving. Both outstanding! Everything we've tried is excellent including the donuts.
