We had the pleasure of dining at Plumb inside of Deadshot one evening about a month ago with friends visiting from out of town, and it was a truly memorable experience. The highlight of the meal for me was the pork chop--perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. The appetizers were fresh and absolutely delicious, a great start to the meal. We ordered three and they were more than plenty for all five of us to get our food journey started. The selection of alcoholic beverages was awesome, and each drink complemented the dishes perfectly. The atmosphere was cozy yet inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed but special evening. Our waiter was attentive, answered all of our questions knowledgeably with enthusiasm and timely. We'll definitely be back!“

“We had a phenomenal time for my birthday at Xiao Ye. The ambience felt like we were the only ones dining there. We had several dishes all which were good! Their mole ribs are delicious. Their madeline’s with jalapeño cream made us not want to leave. Their roasted cabbage was a whole entree but worth trying. Make sure you try their gelatos after. The melon once tastes like a better Melona bar.

You can tell every dish is made with love, with so much attention to detail down to every single ingredient. Every time we dine-in, we are never disappointed and leave full and happy. Every dish I’ve tried always exceeds my expectations. Patrick is dedicated in his work and wants every single customer to experience the best. That’s what I love about Patrick, he will go out of his way to make sure you get to experience the full potential of every single one of his dishes. He’s always trying to find ways to improve his dishes every single day (which I’m not sure how that’s possible when it’s already the best) but that’s just the type of guy he is, always wanting to do better. “Thank you Firehouse team for making our wedding day go perfectly! We booked out the entire restaurant for the day, so we were able to decorate and get ready starting at 11am. With our 42 guests, we held the ceremony in the patio out front, then had dinner upstairs and the dance party downstairs. The food was incredible and we heard so many compliments about it from our guests. Working with the events manager (Alec) was great with his quick responses, flexibility, suggestions, day-of coordination, and DJ-ing!!“

“I make it a point to visit Canard Burnside on all of my trips to Portland! The unique flavors and presentations on their menu keep me coming back for more. Had the roasted beets last night for the first time and the flavor was out of this world.“

“My girlfriend and I saw online that this restaurant has a super wicked deal on Wednesdays and took advantage of it with haste. Y’all let me tell you we had a time eating their food mate. The attendants made sure we were familiar with the menu and made sure to answer any questions we had. They gave us a choice of where to sit. They even threw in some focaccia for the freeskie. Their cocktails were unique and delicious but you definitely need to find your preference. I love you guys stay safe.“

“Dinner with a couple of friends and we decided to try out the menu. Started with Aracini and the MB Salad. Delicious! On to the main dishes of Foie & Chicken Mousse, Grilled Prawns and King Salmon with Grilled Potatoes and Brussel Sprouts. Finished with the Gilled Bananas Foster. All the dishes were excellent. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or efficient.“

“Jewan is a visionary, especially in the vegan food scene. If you have the privilege to catch this DAME/Plant-Based-Papi pop-up, do it! This is some of the best ramen you'll ever have, & from one of the nicest & most hard-working dudes in the business. We are cider-people, so simply having the choice between French, Italian, or Spanish ciders would've sold us, regardless of the food on offer (spoiler: it is all wonderful). Would recommend to anyone, vegan or not; this is about FOOD, & it is DELICIOUS.

“Overall a good experience, although we left hungry and came home and ate leftovers. This was disappointing after spending $130. We ordered 3 items up front not knowing how the size portions would play out. The plan was to order more if we were still hungry. We were still hungry but it took soooo long for the food to come out that we had to go. We had already been there an hour and a half. The drinks and food that we did have were very good. The citrus salad was probably our favorite.“

“This is a great first date place. The food presentation was outstanding. However, we felt it was a little blan. They use RC soda products here, which are flat at the bar but have carbonation if gotten from the back. Amazing happy hour!

“This wasn't just a restaurant. It was an experience. My girlfriend and I love visiting Portland and looking for an amazing culinary experience. Cabezon did not disappoint. Their freshly sourced ingredients were apparent in the dishes. The unique and limited menus are printed daily based on the featured ingredients they get for the day or season. Great attention to detail with the presentation. There's nothing better than eating food that looks just as delicious as it tastes.

Can't wait to visit Cabezon again during our next trip to PDX. What a treasure!“

“Tried the Rum Club on a whim while staying down the street and can't wait to go back! The happy hour punch was a steal at $5 and the pineapple fried rice was a huge portion for 2 of us to share. We also tried both the Burning Son & Doors and Corners cocktails, both were delicious. Service was great, friendly and attentive.“

I’ll be honest: I love Break Bread’s sandwiches. The flavors are bold, the bread is fresh, and the combinations are next-level delicious. But…within 5 hours of every visit, my stomach begins a rapid descent into chaos. Diarrhea and cramps make their entrance, turning a satisfying meal into an unfortunate digestive marathon.

I’m writing this partly as a PSA, but also as a callout to others who may share this oddly specific, deliciously unfortunate experience. Break Bread fans with “iron stomachs”- you’re blessed. For the rest of us, let’s unite. Anyone else out there addicted to sandwiches that just don’t sit right?“
