The chicken liver toast with pickled strawberries doesn't seem like it should work but it absolutely does. The 'fancy instant coffee' fit the vibe of the restaurant and was surprisingly good. I'll definitely want to return when the menu changes with the season.“

“I think a couple weeks to the menu would be needed. We noticed the same garnish with caviar on both hot and cold dishes. The caviar on the hot pork chop wasn't very pleasing. The pork chop definitely needed a pineapple salsa or sauce with it to cut through the fattiness of the chop and grits.“

“We can always count on Olympia Provisions to provide us with a truly pleasurable experience. The food is always impeccably prepared and delicious. The wait staff is excellent, attentive and genuinely concerned about our experience. The ambience - lighting, decor, etc is enjoyable, too. (Full disclosure: Our son was one of the architects who worked on the Olympic Mills building renovation. So we get to feel a little pride in his work while we're there.)“

“Cozy neighborhood vibes. Had to remind myself it is a bar. Kinda loud, but then again it is a bar. Scored low on service because there is zero table service. You have to keep getting up to order at the bar. Good burger and fries. Trout chips and dip was different but tasty. Overall good experience.“

“We sat at the bar, as we did when we first ate here a couple of years ago. We only ordered seafood / vegetarian items, all of which were phenomenal, as were the drinks we shared. It was as wonderful an experience as our first visit. There are so many great restaurants in Portland that we could try something new every time we go out, but we were glad we returned to Arden. “What a great experience. Our party of four was there for brunch. I had apple fritters with side of amazing Hungarian sausage with homemade mustard. - exceptionally good! My wife and daughter had baked pancakes with plums, the other with raisins. Very unique, very good as well. One man runs the whole restaurant from kitchen to table. Loved the experience.“

“I heard how amazing the food and overall experience was at Cabezon from a foodie friend so I made reservations for 6 a couple weeks before we got to Portland for our visit to the University of Portland. The time came and we arrived to a really cool place, neat decor, comfortable and homey feeling. We were greeted by a very nice woman who gave us a place to sit and delivered our drink order very quickly while we waited for our table. Table was ready quick, our waiter was awesome and we quickly had apps on our table. I am a commercial fisherman from San Diego, so my seafood standards are very high. The mussels were great, shrimp bisque were excellent, the shrimp app was ridiculously well paired. The cheddar mac and cheese was rich and tender. 5 of us ordered the chopino and 1 ordered the lamb sirloin. They were both AMAZING. The chopino just kept giving, the juice was so good we got more bread to soak it up. We all agreed we will go to this place every single time we visit our kids up in Portland. The entire experience was 5 stars from start to finish. I will add the prices are very reasonable for the quality they are serving. The dessert menu sounded great but we all ate too much so that will be next trip.“

“This is a great first date place. The food presentation was outstanding. However, we felt it was a little blan. They use RC soda products here, which are flat at the bar but have carbonation if gotten from the back. Amazing happy hour!

“Going to Astera is not just going out for dinner: it is a whole different dining experience that goes beyond food and service. Don't get me wrong: the food is amazing and the service is impeccable! But to reduce a dinner at Astera to only this would not do it justice. The atmosphere is carefully crafted, from the lighting to the music, creating a space not only to eat, but to celebrate the art of cooking. “Went here as a early Mother’s Day treat with my daughter. Had the sample plate…. So delicious and we learned we liked it all! Also got a sundae….. totally recommend. For take home I got the cookies. This place is a gem! Stop by and check it out for sure if you are ever in the area.“

“I had a memorable dinner at Higgins Restaurant. I ordered their Oregon Mushroom Set Menu, and each dish reflected their respect for local ingredients. The wild mushroom bisque was particularly delicious, with a smooth texture and rich aroma. The waiter was very professional and attentive, explaining the background of each dish. The elegant yet relaxed atmosphere was perfect for a leisurely meal with friends or family.“

“Tried the Rum Club on a whim while staying down the street and can't wait to go back! The happy hour punch was a steal at $5 and the pineapple fried rice was a huge portion for 2 of us to share. We also tried both the Burning Son & Doors and Corners cocktails, both were delicious. Service was great, friendly and attentive.“

“This was really a lovely dining experience. It definitely leans into the small plate for sharing/ vibe. The dishes were really unique and pleasant. Two standouts were the miso succotash which was a real surprise, and the burnt basque cheesecake which was so lovely in taste and texture. It can be a bit loud for the older set; there is dining al fresco available. There is a nice selection of wines by the glass.“

“I love Dream House, but am begging… Can you bring back your kale Caesar salad? It was no joke, my favorite meal in the entire city. I dream about this salad. I tell everyone about this salad. “Love love love this place. The server was fantastic. He described everything perfectly. Great communication. The food was so creative and tasty. Italian - American with a creative twist. The owner was so lovely. He gave us limoncello. We are going back for sure.“

We sat outside at the outdoor patio with our dogs and the staff was so nice. They got our dogs a bowl of water and even bit a dog treat in half themselves so they could each have a half.

“This is a beautiful spot to sit and listen to some vinyls. Loved the atmosphere and the service was top notch. Why only 4 stars? The food was lacking a little in price and in flavor. We had the burger, BLT, and chicken parm sandwich. The chicken parm sandwich was 100% fantastic but we asked for no pickles. The burger was small for the price especially compared to the price of the chicken parm sandwich. The burger was very bland and I was disappointed that adding tomato would cost extra. The BLT had more lettuce than I'd prefer. One common issue was the garlic aioli is very strong! It was so overpowering that I couldn't taste the cheese on the burger or the bacon in the BLT. The fries were delicious. I would go back again for the chicken parm sandwich. Another issue was we had to wait quite a while for our food but we didn't know about the event down the road and our server apologized so I would definitely check it out on a less busy night.“

“Portland has great restaurants. Grassa does not disappoint. We ordered the chopped salad, fusilli alla vodka, rigatoni and meatballs. The fusilli had a nice kick to the sauce that was delightful. The rigatoni with pork was like your nanna used to make. The pasta was perfect and the meatballs are a must have. You would have to go the north end of Boston, or New York to get such a fine Italian meal. I wish they would open one in Seattle.“

“We had the three piece thigh combo with Mac and cheese and it was delicious! My husband has original and I opted for the honey garlic sauce and both were wonderful! Delicious and crispy even with the sauce, the chicken itself was juicy and the mac and cheese was awesome! Would highly recommend!“

“I took my vegetarian significant other to Dame for his birthday and our first March dining experience. Everything was so delicious and the dining month value was good. To get the same thing a la carte would have cost $10 or so more. The food is locally sourced so seasonal dishes. My squid ink pasta was so tasty with a slight kick. And my SO wanted to “take a bucket of the salad home.” Highly recommended“

“This place was pretty chill when I went at 7pm on Saturday. There's 2 indoor seating sections and an outdoor section with it's own bar. I didn't get any alcoholic drinks, but the chicken sandwich and fries I got were very nice. My soda refills were quick and staff was very friendly. After 9pm the party is definitely cranking.“
