“Nothing but the best experience here! Even though I've lived in Oregon for quite a while, this was my first time visiting a Salt & Straw, and it definitely lived up to the hype.

The ice cream was incredible, but what really stood out was the exceptional customer service. A special shoutout to the manager, Maddy, and to Xander, (I hope I'm remembering the name correctly) who jumped in to help as soon as he arrived. The rest of the staff were just as friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making the entire experience feel special especially when it was during a busy time.

“My husband, daughters, and I shared a flight with waffle cone: birthday cake and blackberries, huckleberry oat crisp with foraged porcini, salted malted chocolate chip cookie dough, and chocolate gooey brownie. Out of the ordinary and very delectable. My favorite is the huckleberry oat crisp with foraged porcini.

My parents had the dairy-free strawberry and coconut water sorbet and hazelnut cookies and cream in a waffle bowl. My mom is usually indifferent to ice cream but she said this was exceptional.“

“My husband and I love the bingsu from this dessert shop so much, we had to bring our daughter and son-in-law to experience it too. We tried the ube and matcha bingsu. Both were excellent. I especially loved the sweentened milk texture. The homemade ice cream scoops were delightful and tasty. The presentation of the bingsu were amazing.

I understand that it takes a long time to make one bingsu. There were only two workers on staff that Sunday afternoon. Both of them were making our bingsu dessert. The matcha bingsu was done way earlier. They left the matcha bingsu on the counter and waited until both bingsu dessert were made before calling the number. I wish they had called us earlier for the matcha bingsu. It was melting a little by the time we got called. But overall both of the bingsu desserts were so good. We all enjoyed them. The staff were very nice. We will definitely go back again. I may try the mango bingsu next time.

I have finally found the best bingsu joint! I had to try the ube bingsu because of the ube ice cream. They claimed they make ube ice cream in-house. They also claim that they make matcha ice cream in-house, I will have to try it next time.

I ordered a large ube bingsu to share with my husband. First of all, the presentation of the bingsu was perfect. We figured that the whole bingsu measured to about the size of my husband's hand! As I was taking the bingsu to my table, I was worried that the ice cream would tumble to the floor. It was like an art. I absolutely love the presentation!

The ube ice cream scoop was huge. Sitting on top of the perfectly sculpted shaved milk, it was almost too gorgeous to eat. The shaved milk was the correct texture. It came with a ribbon of red bean along the edge of the bowl. I was impressed that the shaved milk was built to the edge of the bowl. The bowl was nicely chilled and was quite deep. I think a large could easily serve 3 people but 2 people was just right for my serving :) There was also red bean around the ice cream. The bingsu also had some shredded coconut, sliced almonds and some sprinkle of ube dust. It was so perfect that I will be using my picture as my wallpaper on my cell :)

The best thing about bingsu is that I don't have guilt after eating it. It is just like having a large glass of cold milk with red beans. I think if they also come with some mochi pieces, then it would have been 100% perfect.“

“Whenever I visit Portland, I make sure to stop at this matcha shop. They have a wide variety of matcha treats, including ice cream, snow cones, lattes, and matcha floats. The edible gold matcha ice cream cone is a special favorite. They also change their soft serve flavor regularly. Matcha goes really well with mochi balls. It’s the best matcha I’ve ever had every time I visit.“

“Uri at Dairy Hill Ice Cream was absolutely incredible to work with for our wedding! He invited Andrew and me to a tasting beforehand, which was such a fun experience and helped us pick the perfect flavors. Every single one was amazing.

At the wedding, they set up an ice cream bar for our guests and it was truly out of this world. People are still talking about how good it was! It added such a fun and memorable touch to the night.

They also made us a custom ice cream cake that was unbelievably delicious. It was the perfect sweet treat and such a unique addition to our celebration.

Need to train people in customer service. Maybe I’m just getting old but a greeting when you come in, or even just an acknowledgment would be nice.
This is definitely just a “grab your order and get out” type of place. No frills, almost an aseptic feel to it.“

He met us on the day we were heading out to the venue to make the cookie selections, he added custom stickers I had made to every individual box, and he hand delivered the cookies on the day of our wedding to our venue after hours so they would keep as long as possible. Can't recommend Dave and this Crumbl location enough! Thank you, Dave!“

The moisture and flavor of the eggnog soaked the cake from the bottom up. The creamy icing on top sprinkled with nutmeg brought home the tiramisu vibe. They were fast on communication, they offer a wide variety of ice cream. The cart is super cute and better then I expected. They dropped off on time and picked it up after the event. “Holy Mother of taco! Yesterday I was asked to pick up some tacos. I was actually going to a Mexican food place a couple doors down but they were closed. I saw El Kiosko and thought I should see if they have tacos. I had popped in before and they didn't but this time was different.
I couldn't tell if the tacos were $4 or 4 tacos on a plate.
I asked, it was $4 a taco. I paused and the nice lady at the counter added but they are really big and delicious. I ordered 8 tacos. She cooked them up fresh, about 8 minutes, and brought them out. The bag was heavy.
When I got them home and opened them up I was shocked!

These tacos 🌮 were filled with deliciously cooked high quality steak, onions (fresh & sautéed) & cilantro. There was about 2 1/2 time the amount of beautifully seasoned cooked meat. Juicy but NOT greasy.

There was a cooked jalapeño, fresh cucumber 🥒 sautéed onions and 2 different salsa.
They were delicious. The salsa was tasty and the fresh crispy cucumber took it to a another level.
They were so chuck full of high quality meat, three people couldn't eat them all. Seriously, two tacos is like 4 or five tacos!
Go get some tacos. You won't be disappointed!“
