“Nothing but the best experience here! Even though I've lived in Oregon for quite a while, this was my first time visiting a Salt & Straw, and it definitely lived up to the hype.

The ice cream was incredible, but what really stood out was the exceptional customer service. A special shoutout to the manager, Maddy, and to Xander, (I hope I'm remembering the name correctly) who jumped in to help as soon as he arrived. The rest of the staff were just as friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making the entire experience feel special especially when it was during a busy time.

“Tried the seasonal eggnog cake. If tiramisu met a white sheet cake at the holiday party and got sloppy together - it would be this cake. The moisture and flavor of the eggnog soaked the cake from the bottom up. The creamy icing on top sprinkled with nutmeg brought home the tiramisu vibe. Pretty good effort at a fancy cake by a cookie company.“

The caramel coming out of the syrup warmer can sometimes be a little hard to get out, but other than that it was a pretty smooth experience!“

I had a taster of a strawberry balsamic vinegar which was great and my third choice (quite hard to choose). The staff were very nice to us. This location has some seats along a long open window to the street which contributes to the nice vibe.“

“Just met the lovely owners Gagan and Kiran the other day at our local dog park. After chatting over our cute dogs they disclosed that they own this gem of an ice cream shop. I went that very night with friends after eating at Eem, it was delicious and a lovely complement to the great food we had just had. Gagan assured me I could try every flavor which I very nearly did. My parents had the dairy-free strawberry and coconut water sorbet and hazelnut cookies and cream in a waffle bowl. My mom is usually indifferent to ice cream but she said this was exceptional.“

“This place was so delicious. My goodness! I had the Ube and gooey butter cake. So amazing. A person I was with just had the vanilla custard and espresso, again, delicious. Creamy, smooth and rich. These treats are spectacular. The shop is decorated beautifully as well. I absolutely enjoyed the staff, scenery and treats using 100% of my senses. “I came here on September 16th around 6:30pm. As I walked in, there was a line of about 6 to 7 people. I was happy to see that they were busy, especially since it was Friday night. However, a white male in front of me got frustrated at one of the associates because they didn't have cherry vanilla ice cream. He was mentioning that he waited in a line only to find out that they don't have cherry vanilla icecream. He said to the associate, "Let's talk about what just happened here." It made me feel really bad for the associate. The other associate overheard and stepped in. Told the customer that they didn't have the flavor of icecream and that there was a line. The associate told this customer to chill out, and it was a reasonable request from my perspective. After the customer was told to chill out he mentioned, "I know the owner....". It unfortunately was a situation where the customer felt very entitled to get what he wanted and an excuse to be rude to the associates. I think the associates handled this extremely well. I'm glad they stood up for themselves. That is not treatment they deserve.“

“My husband and I love the bingsu from this dessert shop so much, we had to bring our daughter and son-in-law to experience it too. We tried the ube and matcha bingsu. Both were excellent. I especially loved the sweentened milk texture. The homemade ice cream scoops were delightful and tasty. The presentation of the bingsu were amazing.

I understand that it takes a long time to make one bingsu. There were only two workers on staff that Sunday afternoon. Both of them were making our bingsu dessert. The matcha bingsu was done way earlier. They left the matcha bingsu on the counter and waited until both bingsu dessert were made before calling the number. I wish they had called us earlier for the matcha bingsu. It was melting a little by the time we got called. But overall both of the bingsu desserts were so good. We all enjoyed them. The staff were very nice. We will definitely go back again. I may try the mango bingsu next time.

I have finally found the best bingsu joint! I had to try the ube bingsu because of the ube ice cream. They claimed they make ube ice cream in-house. They also claim that they make matcha ice cream in-house, I will have to try it next time.

I ordered a large ube bingsu to share with my husband. First of all, the presentation of the bingsu was perfect. We figured that the whole bingsu measured to about the size of my husband's hand! As I was taking the bingsu to my table, I was worried that the ice cream would tumble to the floor. It was like an art. I absolutely love the presentation!

The ube ice cream scoop was huge. Sitting on top of the perfectly sculpted shaved milk, it was almost too gorgeous to eat. The shaved milk was the correct texture. It came with a ribbon of red bean along the edge of the bowl. I was impressed that the shaved milk was built to the edge of the bowl. The bowl was nicely chilled and was quite deep. I think a large could easily serve 3 people but 2 people was just right for my serving :) There was also red bean around the ice cream. The bingsu also had some shredded coconut, sliced almonds and some sprinkle of ube dust. It was so perfect that I will be using my picture as my wallpaper on my cell :)

The best thing about bingsu is that I don't have guilt after eating it. It is just like having a large glass of cold milk with red beans. I think if they also come with some mochi pieces, then it would have been 100% perfect.“

“Whenever I visit Portland, I make sure to stop at this matcha shop. They have a wide variety of matcha treats, including ice cream, snow cones, lattes, and matcha floats. The edible gold matcha ice cream cone is a special favorite. They also change their soft serve flavor regularly. Matcha goes really well with mochi balls. It’s the best matcha I’ve ever had every time I visit.“

“Uri at Dairy Hill Ice Cream was absolutely incredible to work with for our wedding! He invited Andrew and me to a tasting beforehand, which was such a fun experience and helped us pick the perfect flavors. Every single one was amazing.

At the wedding, they set up an ice cream bar for our guests and it was truly out of this world. People are still talking about how good it was! It added such a fun and memorable touch to the night.

They also made us a custom ice cream cake that was unbelievably delicious. It was the perfect sweet treat and such a unique addition to our celebration.

We couldn’t recommend Dairy Hill Ice Cream more — amazing service, amazing ice cream, and such a great experience from start to finish!“

“It was really nice inside friendly people the cookies were great everything was in stock I ordered ahead so when I got there they packed everything up for me freshly everything was made really pretty their cookies make you not want to eat them because they are so pretty but they're so delicious everyone should enjoy them this go round, I will give crumble 5 stars. Each thing that I purchased was amazing. The chocolate chip thins, we're definitely amazing. The dubai biscoff brownie is out of this world and the oatmeal cookie is so moist and delicious. Tried many of the fruit bingsu’s here and I can recommend pretty much all of them. The Basque cheesecake comes frozen but if you’re willing to work, you can eat it at the cafe.“
