“My fiancé and I happened upon Luna's while we were in the area scoping out wedding venues and had a hankering for ice cream. WOW. We both loved Luna's so much we ended up coming back the next day...where we were recognized by the owner immediately. We had a great laugh about it and sat in the shop to eat our scoops while talking to her. As fate would have it, she brought up that she was looking to cater weddings! I got her information immediately and we booked Luna's to cater our end of September wedding. I cannot recommend Luna's enough. The ice cream is delicious no matter what flavor you go with (my fav is Summer's Day and Apple Pie, if you're wondering). The texture is perfect and each component is thoughtfully prepared to bring something extra special to each flavor. You can tell that the people making the ice cream really care about every step of the process. Give them a visit and you'll surely be immediately planning another!“

“Highly recommend this place if you need a light, refreshing dessert. Order online to save some time since there can be a wait. I got the Ube Shaved Ice, and I expected it to be syrupy, thick, and overly sweet. It was none of those things!

Even though I was full from a previous meal, I was able to eat a Keiki (small?) sized shaved ice by myself. The ube flavor was light and complemented the coconut cream beautifully. The toasted coconut flakes added the right amount of crunch alongside the already crunchy shaved ice. The syrup is layered into the ice and it’s not poured over the top like a snowcone. This gives you a mix of fully saturated ice and fluffier shaved ice. I’m looking forward to coming back.“

“I love Ice cream places that do really unique flavors and this is one of them. I had a scoop of olive oil ice cream and a scoop of pear and blue cheese ice cream. They sound absolutely bizarre but they were spectacular. My favorite was the olive oil. The waffle cones are made fresh right there. My friend had a pretty straightforward chocolate gooey brownie, and that was also delicious. Don't leave Oregon without trying this exceptionally special place. And to boot, customer service was awesome, totally friendly.“

“This place is in an unlikely location and is very small inside (there is even a sign outside the door that says only 8 people are allowed inside at a time! ?) However, the ice cream is amazing. They only have 4 berry flavors (with an occasional special on some days). It is fresh fruit that is infused into vanilla ice cream and then they have some toppings you can add. I had raspberry ice cream topped with chamoy and Tajin and it was DELICIOUS!! It's also pretty reasonably priced. I can definitely recommend this place!“

“I came here on September 16th around 6:30pm. As I walked in, there was a line of about 6 to 7 people. I was happy to see that they were busy, especially since it was Friday night. However, a white male in front of me got frustrated at one of the associates because they didn't have cherry vanilla ice cream. He was mentioning that he waited in a line only to find out that they don't have cherry vanilla icecream. He said to the associate, "Let's talk about what just happened here." It made me feel really bad for the associate. The other associate overheard and stepped in. Told the customer that they didn't have the flavor of icecream and that there was a line. The associate told this customer to chill out, and it was a reasonable request from my perspective. After the customer was told to chill out he mentioned, "I know the owner....". It unfortunately was a situation where the customer felt very entitled to get what he wanted and an excuse to be rude to the associates. I think the associates handled this extremely well. I'm glad they stood up for themselves. That is not treatment they deserve.“

“I'm so happy I found this place the best matcha I've had, literally drive two hours for this, must go when in PDX. Friendly and fast service. It's matcha galore so everything is delicious the matcha latte with strawberry foam, the cheese foam is a must have at first I thought it would be weird but the combination salty sweet in your mouth is like mind blowing, floats are so creamy. I had to try the bear one it the best of all worlds iced latte/ice cream/bear is made of compact shaved ice plus foam ! Mmmmm heaven!“

“I had the most extraordinary experience at the Portland airport on Monday night. There were not many things open. I do not usually fly Southwest, so I was not familiar with the concessions in this part of the airport. I thought I might just grab some cheese and then get some kind of healthy bowl somewhere. I stopped at the Tillamook booth and was overwhelmed by the quality of the service. Yes, the food was tasty. The service was exemplary. I would have never purchased my meal here, if it weren’t for the incredible connection, Joseph, the server, made with me. He was warm, knowledgeable, and really enticed me to eat the food here. He seemed to love it, so I believed him. I ate at the little table next to the booth and he checked in on me from time to time and even brought me some green tea later on! This truly was the most remarkable experience I had ever spent at an airport kiosk. I fly every week. Joseph, and the quality he bestowed upon me, is a new benchmark for service at any airport in America. Congratulations Tillamook for hiring such a capable person who not only believes in your product, but believes in serving each customer with dignity and elegance. I couldn’t help but watch how he treated the people after me. All were treated the same. He even helped people after he closed. What a treasure. Thank you, thank you.“

“It's quite a strange surprise to find a soft-serve counter hidden in the back of a streetwear/shoe store, that's not the most well-visited place in Washington Square Mall. However, word of mouth has spread around a bit regarding this shop and my partner and I decided to try looking for it since we were craving ice cream while at the mall yesterday. We found it and there was someone working there. They have a pretty solid menu offering delicious mixtures of ice cream and other ingredients like cookies and fruity pebbles, or you could also get a milkshake. The ingredients are high quality, taste good, and are not overpriced for what you get. The only weird thing to me was that they don't have water for customers despite having some sort of dessert, so then you'd have to go across to Jamba to get some. The store itself is clean and nice though there's not many places to sit.“

Without hesitation he agreed and after clarification I was presented with a thoughtfully prepared, delicious blend of ice cream and coffee. I can't rave enough about the pleasant, worry-free experience I had with Erica from Ben & Jerry's Catering at the Yamhill shop in Portland. Of the 3 Ben & Jerry's shops I contacted in Portland, she was far and away the most responsive and helpful! In a year of researching, shopping, planning and choosing vendors for my daughter and son-in-law's wedding, my experience with Erica was one of the best! I checked all the ice cream caterer's in the area. Most of them were quite expensive and had limits, restrictions, and extra charges once you got down to an estimate. Erica was one of the most easy-going, honest, cooperative vendors I had the pleasure of working with. She was so responsive and agreeable to all my questions and requests! When I was concerned about not having a choice for our handful of gluten-intolerant guests, she offered to bring some berry sorbets. As always, Ben & Jerry's ice cream is excellent and they offer so many unique and delicious options! To top it all off, Erica informed me that when you hire Ben & Jerry's Catering, you're also supporting New Avenues for Youth which provides job training to youth experiencing housing instability. While some of the B&J's corporate liberal causes don't appeal to me, anything supporting and taking care of vulnerable little ones and youth has my utmost support! We felt honored that in celebrating my daughter & son-in-law's special day, we were also able to contribute to an important cause. Thank you Erica for being such a joy to work with!!“
