“What a great little weekday breakfast/lunch place! The chef and cashier are the husband & wife owners and they were so fun to chat with (late lunch so it wasn't crowded). “Got the chicken and the pork katsu sandwiches for our train ride. Even after sitting in our bags for a couple of hours, both were delicious even if they weren’t crispy anymore. Got extra sauce as others have advised and it was not truly necessary (but it was nice!) Tonkatsu sauce is like regular tonkatsu sauce, which is very yummy imo. Love that there is cabbage instead of lettuce, as cabbage sits better over time and doesn’t get wilty or weird like lettuce does in a bento.

We got our food in less than 10 mins and service was friendly. I think I may prefer Tokyo Sando’s chicken sandwich a little bit better but the cute ambiance and indoor seating spaces makes this preferable in the winter.

My one little gripe is that I wished the meat was a little wider and reached the edges of the sandwich bread. But overall I was full and happy.“

Everything was fresh made, but the godfather sandwich I felt a bit bland. I wish it had a little bit more flavor or seasoning to bring it stand out. Maybe we didn’t order the right sandwich option. Overall, it’s a decent sandwich spot to have in Portland.“

“Jojo comes up on a lot of PDX "Best of..." lists, and as a result, when I was looking to book a reservation and found no convenient time slots available, I figured the next best alternative would be to skip the BS and just hit up the food cart. Good choice.

Reasonably priced for a premium burger in Portland, I went with the Mr. Onion Burger, which lived up to the name in every way possible: an assortment of awesome Alliums assembled under a bun, and tied together with a tasty, tangy Alabama white mustard. Very much approved! I'm now even more intrigued to return and try the Spicy Cheeseburger, which would normally have been my #1 pick, but I wanted to try something different.

Of course, one can't eat at Jojo's without trying the Jojo's, right? And my visit was no exception: a small order of the Nashville Hots was a fantastic accompaniment, even if the red sauce and breading got absolutely everywhere! And even a small order is a sizeable portion, meaning I took half of it home with me, for later.

Jojo came with a lot of hype and expectations, but they knocked it out of the park, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. And if you're like me, and you don't need any pretense to enjoy a classic burger at a reasonable price, don't bother reserving a table in NW; just head over to this cart on SE Powell.

Parking: Plenty of parking at the John's Marketplace lot.

“Absolutely adorable sandwich shop - so glad I dropped by on a whim. The turkey pesto is my favorite, about out to Lindsey for the rec, she was 100% right it's perfect. “I love Laredo and today was the first time I tried a sandwich I didn’t care for. I got their latest chefwich. It’s a pork tamale sandwich basically. The outside of the tamale in bread is just too much bread. The sandwich also didn’t hold up well especially when dunked in the pazole dip. Flavor was good and the dip was good but it just doesn’t work. What saved it was their great beer selection. Love ya!“

“I went out at 2:20 in the morning to get something to eat. I did not expect to eat one of the best meals I’ve had in a while at that price range. The store owner was very nice and gave me a few recommendations for what to eat and he made an excellent choice because the food was amazing. The environment around the outside of the store was a little rough but that was not the store owners fault and shouldn’t take away from the quality of the food. Overall a great place to eat, would recommend for a night munch.“

“I have been coming here for years to get their sandwiches. They are always great. Sometimes you will get a new trainee but they are learning so I cut them some slack. I have bought sandwiches from Jersey Mike's all over the state but this location with Dave the Manager is the best. Dave is a super great guy. He will do his best to accommodate the customer. There are stores closer to my house but I will drive a little bit further to support Dave at this location. Keep up the good work Dave.“

“I regularly purchase this brand, and have never had a complaint until now. I recently purchased two tuna salad sandwiches, and there was less than one tablespoon of product on the bread, and it was concentrated in the center of the bread (about 2 cm diameter). Very disappointing. The egg salad (my favorite) never has this issue. All other products have had ample filling, and always fresh-tasting.“
