“Food = Service = Ambiance = Food was great and in keeping with the quintessential South Philly Italian restaurant fare. Our servers were fantastic and very attentive. The dining room was, unfortunately, extremely noisy and it was not conducive to conversation.“

“The service was phenomenal. The food, delicious. Best italian restaurant in Philly, the closest thing I've seen so far to an authentic italian restaurant in Philly (I stayed in Italy for 6 weeks). We got the tiramisu and gelato, and we got the carbonara and pappardelle al ragù. All of it was just so good. I wanna come back again, but I need to save up for it because it was very pricey. But worth it.“

“Dined in tonight with my family and Rylee served us, she was very quick and efficient! She recommended the rigatoni abruzzi and her signature green tea match martini, which were both phenomenal! Highly recommend coming here and asking for Rylee!“

“This restaurant is located on East Passyunk in South Philly. I love the ambiance and service was great. Meat and veggie platter was delicious. The platter also came with pizza dough which was surprisingly really good. I am also currently obsessed with their gnocchi, it has the perfect texture and the sauce was amazing. Will definitely come back!“

“Excellent meal. The artichoke starter -a special the night we were there - was fabulous. Waiter very pleasant and accommodating. I am on a low salt diet and they were very helpful with menu recommendations. It is nice to see the chef and watch him work.“

“I enjoyed dining at Her Place, I definitely felt like I was having a meal in someone's home. The restaurant is tiny and every table has a view of the kitchen. I dined by myself so I was placed at one of the two window seats. My back was toward the kitchen and I had to turn around each time the chef was describing the dishes. The menu wasn't something I would have normally chosen for myself, it was very seafood focused but it was all around tasty. The main dish was a quail and morels. My favorites of the night were the chicken liver pate with radishes and homemade Ritz cracker. They really did taste like a Ritz but much elevated. My other favorite of the night was the dessert: the rhubarb, cream cheese semi freddo, and meringue was to absolutely die for. You could really taste the cream cheese. Also notable was the sauce Americaine in the quenelle/lobster dish, I wanted to scoop it up and lick the plate. I see people complaining how it wasn't enough food since you had to share, I didn't have this problem, as I was solo and was able to eat full plates of everything. I enjoyed the final touches at the end, giving out cookies and a bag of Chex Mix. Bravo. I'd maybe come back if I were to travel to Philadelphia again. $120 after tax and tip.“

“I was visiting Philly for the Broad St Run and wanted a pre-race pasta dinner. I had been scrolling through Instagram and found a highlight of The Victor Cafe and it looked delicious. I loved that there was a rich history and thought it was cool that some scenes from Rocky were filmed here. What I missed, though, was that the staff perform opera pieces throughout the service. I'm not familiar with opera but wow wow wow, those arias were incredible. My jaw dropped and my eyes teared more than once. The food was also incredible. I opted for a virgin version of a Paloma that my server suggested, calamari fra diavolo and broccoli rabe. It was the best broccoli rabe that I've ever had. 13/10 recommend visiting The Victor Cafe.“

“My girlfriend and I decided to come in for happy hour and I’m so happy we did! The food and cocktails were delicious but we were really blown away by the service. Our server, KB, was incredible. She was on top of everything, knowledgeable, personable, and gave great recommendations. We can’t wait to come back!“

“Cozy restaurant with a lot of energy. Hold off on eating the complementary bread because you'll need it for the outstanding mussel appetizer. Another must order is the orecchiette. One of the best pastas I've had in Philadelphia. The lamb shank was just ok. Unfortunately I just recently had it at another Philly restaurant and it was so much better. Barramundi which was a special was a huge disappointment. I've never seen so many things added to a fish dish to overwhelm what I consider to be an amazing fish. This is my second time at this restaurant where the entrees feel short. Stick to the appetizers and pastas. Service was outstanding.“

“The service was excellent. The food was also good, we enjoyed the tasting menu which had some surprising dishes such as the carrot & egg custard. The bread and nduja was also a nice addition. However, we spent over $800 between the two of us with tips included (with the tasting menu priced at $215) which I think is way too overpriced. The wines especially are overpriced, for 150pp I would expect more upscale wines than what was on offered. We ended up going with a Barolo instead which was more reasonable but still $170 for a bottle. For these prices, I would expect Michelin 1 or 2 star quality food, which it wasn't (as nice as our meal was). That said, the service was really good with our waiter being extremely attentive and considerate.“

“Always great from the food through the cocktails (who doesn't luv Franky), atmosphere and attentive service! Even the parking lot shines! “The food is delicious at Via Locusta. I'd particularly recommend the agnolotti, which changes seasonally. Service is also good. My only complaint is that I really wish they'd add some sound panels on the ceiling inside to quiet the dining room down. It gets so loud that you can't hear the people across from you. We've generally had better meals outside than in the dining room for that reason.“

“We have been getting take out from here for years but never sat inside to eat. We decided for our 1 year wedding anniversary that we would go here and it did not disappoint! We have always called the gnocchi "pillows of heaven." They are the absolute best! We also had the lamb which just fell off the bone and was so tender. And we definitely recommend the buratta for a starter. You can tell that everything is homemade including the bread. The service is also stellar! The staff is so attentive and so nice. We felt like family the whole meal. It's also a byob which is great to bring your favorite bottle of wine. I can't say enough about this tiny south Philly gem!“

“As a wedding photographer, I had the pleasure of capturing a wedding at Osteria, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The venue's unique location, impeccable food, and outstanding service make it perfect for an intimate wedding. The guests couldn't stop raving about the food and drinks, which were a huge step above the standard wedding fare. Located in an area of the city close to photo ops, Osteria is gorgeous, especially at night. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everyone had an amazing time, and the dance floor was going off like crazy all night! If you're looking for a unique setting for your wedding, look no further than Osteria.“

We didn’t even notice but the Owner was at a table in the shop and was so friendly! I literally felt like a welcomed guest in his home! He gave us free drinks on the house and gave us pointers on how to get to the concert venue we were going to!! Such great service! Adorable place to eat! “I started my experience at the valley parking gentleman in charge, he was friendly, kind and patient. I walked in and it seems that the excellence in customer service is their currency in this restaurant. The service was excellent, the food was excellent, the order in everything they do was excellent and even the wine selection they had was excellent. “Picture the quintessential neighborhood corner sandwich shop of your dreams - this is it. This is the spot. Found it today and knew at first menu glance it’d be dope. The daily specials (kielbasa & egg sandwich, and Italian melt) were great and already thinking about the next ones I want to try (ex. The Bobby). Slaw, pickle, and Vietnamese iced coffee were great too!The place was happily busy on a sunny Saturday afternoon - line inside but I ordered ahead online since I was walking my dog, and their service was great — I literally stepped inside and within 2 seconds someone came out to greet me, I said I placed order, they said my name and handed me my bag and coffee.I don’t know what we the people of Francisville did to deserve Sandwich Corner Market, but my heart is full (and stomach)(Can you guys maybe make like, a little sandwich sample flight? Like 3 little sliders somehow? I want to try so many at once but can’t be slamming like 3 sandwiches and foresee myself stressing in the future over which 1 sandwich to pick per order)“

“LOVED IT HERE! Truly authentic Italian cooking, with authentic ingredients to purchase. The staff was so friendly and accomodating on their menu. We had to make a slight change in order for a vegetarian, and they had no issues. We tried their breakfast sandwiches & lunch sandwiches, and each bite was jam packed with substance & flavor (I mean, just look at the layers in my photo.) Fresh ingredients, and an overall quaint/bright spot. This would be an awesome place to post up and get some work done, do some people watching, and enjoy delicious food. Not to mention, their baked goods looked out of this world. We wanted to get so much, but I landed on their passion fruit donut, partly because it was the last one left (so I figured something must be good!) And let me tell you, their dough is different. The donut was dense & fluffy at the same time, and their passion fruit flavor was y-u-m-m-y. I can't wait to go back to try more sandwiches and get some grocery shopping done!“

“Fiorella is an excellent restaurant. The quality of the food, ambiance, and service lives up to the hype. My only BUT is a reflection on portion sizes, which vary greatly by dish. The ragú could feed a small village. It is a literal cauldron of pasta. The cacio é pepé is also a generous portion. Even the gnocchi, while a smaller dish overall, are jumbo sized and likely filling. Some of the other dishes and specials however are just as pricey but much less substantial. If you are dining as a group, this is not an issue. You can share smaller plates and fill up on ragú. As a solo diner, I wish I was advised in advance as my dish was impeccably prepared, but I left needing more. At least I was in South Philly so I could grab a slice on my way home.“

“This is a fabulous local restaurant and if I lived in the neighborhood I would be there at least twice a month. I was hosting some out-of-town visitors and we enjoyed between the three of us, two plates of pasta and a caprese salad and it was more than enough food and we also enjoyed our red and white BYOB wines. Afterwards we went down a block Dirty Frank's on the corner of 13th and Pine for a nightcap which completed a full circle Philadelphia experience.“

“I’ve heard about Fiorino for so long, especially from someone who lives in Florida! I finally went and it was all they said it would be! Absolutely delicious! “Have been here in Roxborough 2 years but never really saw the place until I found it on Google maps. It's a little unassuming on the outside but is really nice on the inside. I think they need a big, bright sign out front facing the street directly.Excellent food. Came for breakfast. Not too salty and they make a great hollandaise sauce. Had the stuffed french toast and crab portobello benedict. Will be back to try lunch and dinner, as well!Prices were good. The food is well portioned. You won't leave hungry.Service is great too. Multiple people checked on us. They check on you consistently for water and coffee. It was busy but we didn't have to wait too long to sit. “One of Philadelphia's charms is its wealth of neighborhood bistros representing regional Italian cuisines. Core de Roma is such a restaurant. Arrive early, as we did, before the place begins to fill up, and you'll meet Luigi, a loquacious, bushy-eyebrowed native of Trastevere who exudes justified pride in his food and his restaurant. This quirky BYOB, perched in the prosperous hills of Bala Cynwood, greeted us with warm, freshly baked bread accompanied by a plate of olive oil, sage, and white beans for dipping. Many delights followed: abundant, freshly made fettucine alla Bolognese; creamy, al dente spaghetti caccio e pepe; a simple, voluptuous tiramisú. Not everything was perfect; such a good restaurant should offer a decent espresso. Still, the pleasures of a small family restaurant, aspiring albeit uneven, far outweigh its odd deficiencies. The left-over fettucine was even better the next day, reminding us to return soon. See you there.“

“I came here for dinner with my husband after going to the King of Prussia mall. We had a caprese salad and mozzarella sticks, followed by two 12-inch pizzas. Everything was delicious. The pizza dough was light and flavorful; the ingredients tasted fresh. I am particular about my tomatoes when it comes to caprese salad, and the tomatoes here were juicy and again, flavorful. The service was warm, and the "family spirit" of the restaurant was obvious. The owners / workers there clearly take pride in what they do. Overall, we would return for the good food, warm atmosphere; and reasonable price point. As a bonus, downtown Wayne is very charming!“

“We ate here while staying at the Mint for a birthday. We had a good time and the food was good but felt that it was a little over priced (i.e. $42 for an eggplant parm dish and over $100/person without alcohol). Staff was friendly but felt maybe a little under experienced/trained. Timing between courses was a little off (very long between one and then others right away). Cleanliness was perfect but noticed a lot of chipped dishes. Atmosphere was cozy with very comfortable seats. Overall we're glad we experienced it, would recommend to others but may/may not return.“

“This was the second time in a couple of weeks that we dined at Melograno. Loved it! Both visits were what I would consider challenging for a restaurant. The first visit was with a group of eight, which they handled with ease. The second visit was with a group of five, and, due to another event, we had just over an hour to dine. Again, there was no problem. Being in 2 large groups, I was able to taste a number of their dishes, and all were excellent. The service was professional and attentive. I highly recommend this charming BYOB!“

“Food is really good I got the fettuccine Alfredo, I got a small pizza half pep that they forgot to deliver with door dash. And a cake … my dasher went out of his way to go all the way back to the store which he didn’t have to do. But a hour later we received the pizza cold as ever but it was still good. I just wish the pizza store would have cooked us a fresh pizza since they forgot to give it to the dasher. But other then that I will be back in person for more food“
