“This undiscovered, moderately-priced gem of an Italian restaurant on Bethlehem Pike in Flourtown is the real deal. It offers authentic, super-delicious food and an expansive selection—pasta, meat, seafood , vegetarian, you name it. The sauces could have been made by my Italian-born mother-in-law, yep, that good! The pasta was serve perfectly al dente, the claims must have just plucked from the sea! Sebastian our waiter was attentive and friendly. (We were the only patrons on a Thursday night!) Make your reservation ASAP. This place will catch on!“

“The service was phenomenal. The food, delicious. Best italian restaurant in Philly, the closest thing I've seen so far to an authentic italian restaurant in Philly (I stayed in Italy for 6 weeks). We got the tiramisu and gelato, and we got the carbonara and pappardelle al ragù. All of it was just so good. I wanna come back again, but I need to save up for it because it was very pricey. But worth it.“

“Ok so the cheesesteak is definitely than all other pizza shops. It’s about 11” meat is very juicy and flavorful with lots of melted creamy cheese and the onions were caramelized perfectly. I would absolutely give that steak sandwich a 20 out of 10“

“I enjoyed dining at Her Place, I definitely felt like I was having a meal in someone's home. The restaurant is tiny and every table has a view of the kitchen. I dined by myself so I was placed at one of the two window seats. My back was toward the kitchen and I had to turn around each time the chef was describing the dishes. The menu wasn't something I would have normally chosen for myself, it was very seafood focused but it was all around tasty. The main dish was a quail and morels. My favorites of the night were the chicken liver pate with radishes and homemade Ritz cracker. They really did taste like a Ritz but much elevated. My other favorite of the night was the dessert: the rhubarb, cream cheese semi freddo, and meringue was to absolutely die for. You could really taste the cream cheese. Also notable was the sauce Americaine in the quenelle/lobster dish, I wanted to scoop it up and lick the plate. I see people complaining how it wasn't enough food since you had to share, I didn't have this problem, as I was solo and was able to eat full plates of everything. I enjoyed the final touches at the end, giving out cookies and a bag of Chex Mix. Bravo. I'd maybe come back if I were to travel to Philadelphia again. $120 after tax and tip.“

One of the best pastas I've had in Philadelphia. The lamb shank was just ok. Unfortunately I just recently had it at another Philly restaurant and it was so much better. Barramundi which was a special was a huge disappointment. I've never seen so many things added to a fish dish to overwhelm what I consider to be an amazing fish. This is my second time at this restaurant where the entrees feel short. Stick to the appetizers and pastas. Service was outstanding.“

“Great food and superb service. Server (Victoria) was exceptional and made our wedding anniversary dinner special. Ended up staying until close and had beautiful conversation with Victoria and owner, wasn't rushed out at all. Ordered the Arancini, Valona Signature salad, Gnocchi Pomodoro Mozz, and lamp chops. 5 layer cake was incredible, tasty and light. Everything was delish! The venue's unique location, impeccable food, and outstanding service make it perfect for an intimate wedding. “We found this gem about a month ago and came back for another dinner last night. Everything was wonderful. Cozy dining room, although the volume can get a little loud depending on the crowd. “We just had the best meal here! My partner and I had planned on going elsewhere but we got there after 8pm and didn't have a reservation, so the wait was going to be an hour. We walked over to Wm. Mulherin's Sons and they got us a table in about 15 minutes. We proceeded to have one of the best meals I've had in a while! Starters: the octopus was crispy but succulent and the focaccia was pillowy perfection! Cocktails were excellent. The sausage pizza had a wonderful mix of flavors and the crust!! ? “LOVED IT HERE! Truly authentic Italian cooking, with authentic ingredients to purchase. The staff was so friendly and accomodating on their menu. We had to make a slight change in order for a vegetarian, and they had no issues. We tried their breakfast sandwiches & lunch sandwiches, and each bite was jam packed with substance & flavor (I mean, just look at the layers in my photo.) Fresh ingredients, and an overall quaint/bright spot. This would be an awesome place to post up and get some work done, do some people watching, and enjoy delicious food. “I went with my family for dinner here and the aesthetic was top tier with the dark browns and tans. It really fit the Jenkintown vibe. I ordered the squid ink pasta and it was very filling and well seasoned and the tiramisu was a refreshing closer to an excellent meal. I would absolutely recommend this establishment.“

“OMG!!! A friend of mine highly recommended this restaurant to me to try out. I am so happy that she did. I have eaten here two times since, and each time was an AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!! Let's start with the great service from their wait staff. Izzy, Gabriel, and Sarah were my main wait staff, BUT all the wait staff help each other. So if Izzy, Gabriel, or Sarah are busy taking care of other customers, their co-workers just jump right in and take care of your questions and/or needs quickly. And the FOOD IS SO AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!! ? ? I LOVE LOVE LOVE their freshly made Garlic Knots that you get when you sit down. “The best pizza within 35 minutes of my residence! Great sauce, wonderful cheese, tasty crust. My only complaint is the thickness of the crust, it's too doughy/thick especially at the ends. Next time I order, I'm going to see if they can use medium size dough and stretch to a large pie.“

“We were there for lunch, loved the food, especially the short rib pizza, and I usually don't eat pizza. My friend thought there was a little too much cheese. Never. I had some sort of crab pasta. It was ok, not loaded with crab like the waiter said. My friend had a salad, no complaints, but the waiter had to be asked to refill our water and tea, and we had to wait to get his attention. It wasn't busy. I loved the tiramisu. The waiter packed up our separate "to go's" nicely. I would definitely go back, lots of interesting things on the menu.“

“Came here on a Tuesday and was surprised to learn about the $50 special on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You get to choose any Appetizer, Entree & Dessert& get a complimentary bottle of house wine. My sister and I weren't drinking, so they let us take the bottle of wine home. I had the meatballs to start, followed by the gnocchi gorgonzola and finished off with a tiramisu. The portion sizes were great, given that we got it on a special deal. I even had leftovers to bring home. The food didn't really blow me away though. Would I come back to try other items on the menu? “You know this place is popular when there are people waiting outside the door at 9am right before this place opens. It was my first time here and upon arriving, 2 people were waiting to get in and 3 more trickled in minutes later. A line started to form and people are trying to get the tomato pie. I place an order for the regular tomato pie a few days ago over the phone but when I went to pick it up they didn't have my name. Luckily they had extras so I didn't have to order another. My friends really enjoyed the tomato pie so it's definitely as good as people say. Just be sure to double check the day before if you placed an order with them.“

Arrive early, as we did, before the place begins to fill up, and you'll meet Luigi, a loquacious, bushy-eyebrowed native of Trastevere who exudes justified pride in his food and his restaurant.This quirky BYOB, perched in the prosperous hills of Bala Cynwood, greeted us with warm, freshly baked bread accompanied by a plate of olive oil, sage, and white beans for dipping. Many delights followed: abundant, freshly made fettucine alla Bolognese; creamy, al dente spaghetti caccio e pepe; a simple, voluptuous tiramisú. Not everything was perfect; such a good restaurant should offer a decent espresso. Still, the pleasures of a small family restaurant, aspiring albeit uneven, far outweigh its odd deficiencies. We had a good time and the food was good but felt that it was a little over priced (i.e. $42 for an eggplant parm dish and over $100/person without alcohol). Staff was friendly but felt maybe a little under experienced/trained. Timing between courses was a little off (very long between one and then others right away). Cleanliness was perfect but noticed a lot of chipped dishes. Atmosphere was cozy with very comfortable seats. Overall we're glad we experienced it, would recommend to others but may/may not return.“

“This was the second time in a couple of weeks that we dined at Melograno. Loved it! Both visits were what I would consider challenging for a restaurant. The first visit was with a group of eight, which they handled with ease. The second visit was with a group of five, and, due to another event, we had just over an hour to dine. Again, there was no problem. Being in 2 large groups, I was able to taste a number of their dishes, and all were excellent. The service was professional and attentive. And a cake … my dasher went out of his way to go all the way back to the store which he didn’t have to do. But a hour later we received the pizza cold as ever but it was still good.
