The daily menu and prices were displayed on chalkboards behind the counter, making it easy to decide what to order.The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Sidique came out from behind the counter to greet me, which made me feel welcomed.Although my favorite cassava leaf soup was unavailable on this visit, Sidique assured me it would be back on the menu soon. As an alternative, I decided to try the Peanut Butter Soup.The Peanut Butter Soup was delicious. Its savory taste balanced the slight sweetness of the peanut butter. The soup was rich and hearty, with stew chicken and beef. It was served with a generous portion of white rice. They also provided a small container of hot pepper sauce on the side, allowing me to customize the heat level.Overall, Aunty K's West African Restaurant is a clean and friendly establishment with tasty food. “Took my wife here during a conference trip to have a nice lunch and I must say the overall experience did not disappoint. We ordered an assortment of different oysters to start with. Sampling the flavor profile of each oyster was not only delicious but extremely fun as a couple. After oysters and wine, my wife ordered the lobster roll and I had the house clam chowder. The lobster was perfectly cooked and the position size was double that of the perfectly toasted and buttery brioche bread it was on. The fries were homemade and very good. I will say that they could have double fried them to make them a bit more crispy but overall very good. The clam chowder was very rich with smoke amounts of bacon, the smokey flavor from the bacon was a nice addition. The waiter was very attentive and took the time to engage and make a human connection, which is much appreciated. Overall, great experience and I would return here in the future.“

We split the spicy chicken empanadas, delicious, however, we did not detect the spice. We split the green chili Caesar. Honestly, the best Caesar in town. I do t see how they get it so cold and crisp, it's amazing! We then each had a ceviche. The baby shrimp, which were much bigger than anticipated, such wonderful flavor! My daughter had the crab, the server suggested mixing it right away to get the sauce mixed in. Very good! It did need more liquid. We simply poured the extra shrimp sauce in the crab, it was superb after that. The tomato on the shrimp just gives it more moisture and such a good flavor! We can't wait to go back!“

“Came here on a Tuesday and was surprised to learn about the $50 special on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You get to choose any Appetizer, Entree & Dessert& get a complimentary bottle of house wine. My sister and I weren't drinking, so they let us take the bottle of wine home. I had the meatballs to start, followed by the gnocchi gorgonzola and finished off with a tiramisu. The portion sizes were great, given that we got it on a special deal. I even had leftovers to bring home. The food didn't really blow me away though. Would I come back to try other items on the menu? Only if the Tuesday/Wednesday menu is still available.“
“Really great. I had the Chongqing spicy broth, wagyu, head on prawns, scallops, and lamb as my meats and went crazy in the self serve area. Great quality meats and vegetable selection. Broth was good, service was good. I had to wait for about 1 hour because you cannot make a reservation for a 2 top, but it was well worth it. I left completely satisfied for 40 dollars plus tax, no uncharged. Highly recommended.“
“What a wonderful experience we had here. We had a reservation at 8:30pm, luckily for us we were the only ones eating at that time for the omakase. The chef was able to make all the sushi and serve us quickly, which was nice. All the fish was fresh and tasted delicious ?. Kimchi Omakase is truly a gem for the price. I saw another location on your website, this review is for the truck at 3400 Fox St. I’m not even sure what this business page address is for. Maybe this is an old location?Onto the chicken cheesesteak. I got one with fried chicken tenders inside, lettuce, and I think they put some kind of hot sauce as well. The bread this comes on is incredible. If you want anything HEALTHY, DO NOT come here, I’m reading that it’s deep fried bread. Whatever they do to it, I could’ve ate it alone. The fried chicken inside is seasoned well. It’s kinda too much and falls apart as a result but who cares, eat some first with a fork then eat the rest. I got fries here but they were just okay. They give me one more reason to believe that immigration is such a great thing for our country, despite what a certain narcissist politician and his cult followers might say. “Been craving for a good clam chowder and my husband took me here. I've had quite a lot of clam chowder in my life and this place has by far the best clam chowder i've ever had hands down. Came back three more times for the clam chowder and to try other things of course. The food is okay, little heavy handed on the salt for all other foods i've had except for the clam chowder. Would probably tell them less salt in the future since now I know. Customer service so far has always been 10/10, super nice and attentive. Would def keep coming back but tell them less salt on everything lol“

The aromas and flavors brought back memories of meals we'd enjoyed in Vietnam. The herbs and greens, so universally part of Vietnam dishes and so often lacking here in the US were delightfully fresh and generously available. The service, family style, is exactly what we expected. And the server was friendly and helpful. The Gỏi Tôm Xoài (Prawn and Mango Salad) was perfectly balanced even though the mango, obviously, wasn't from a local tree (;-)). The Bánh Bèo Chén also had that flavorful balance (Water Fern Dumplings--no mango there). The special, Bánh Xéo Miên Trung (Shaken Beef) was outstanding, with beef more tender than we ever found in Vietnam and the tangy sauce simply mouthwatering. The unexpected stunner was the Dâu Hu Xào Xã (Lemongrass Tofu). Despite tofu's role as a bland protein base, the flavors really carried it. We'll be back whenever we get to Philly!“

I got the warm lobster roll, spicy honey lobster roll, and lobster mac.Most of the rolls are cold, so it is nice to try the warm lobster roll and have to order one of my favorites – spicy honey lobster roll as well. Lobster Mac on the other hand is alright, the pasta they used is quite unique but flavor wise is just okay, and not a huge fan of the breadcrumbs on top.“
