“On November 12th I was one of a party of 12 who enjoyed one of the most delicious and enjoyable dinners ever, at Lilith. We ordered a variety of appetizers, entrees, desserts, and drinks. Food was cooked perfectly and served graciously. The small venue is absolutely charming and warm; don't let the small neighborhood fool you- this is worth seeking out. I wish I had taken photos, but those already posted reflect the lovely dishes we all ordered. The staff members, to a person, were gracious, thoughtful, and timely in their interactions with us. It was a highlight of our trip to Pittsburgh. Enjoy!”

“A group of 5 of us visited Dish last night and the meals were amazing. Grilled Squid, the best I have ever had. Where else can you find it not breaded and fried? Add to that their amazing sardines so fresh and good. Pasta Funghi another high. Exquisite detail to taste in every dish. The owners go way out of their way to make you feel welcomed and happy and very satisfied. A must visit when you are lucky enough to get a reservation though other friends have happily sat at the bar for dinner just to be there!! Kudos to Dish!”

The owner and his family are simply precious, radiating quiet kindness and familial warmth to every guest who came in. If you can, bring a friend with you so you can share something from Japan and something from Thailand on your first visit. You won’t regret it. Oh, and the donuts…

Elijah was very attentive and always happy to meet my toddlers many requests 😅 Also would like to add that even though they were super busy, it took them less than 10 minutes to get us seated and the food didn’t take long to come out at all. Shared appetizers - tuna tartare, calamari, dynamite shrimp…tuna tartare was tasty and bomb but the others were sort of plain

Ordered a prime strip medium rare with truffle butter. Steak was perfectly cooked and great. Sides were asparagus, sweet corn, and mashed potatoes. Acceptable, nothing special.

Cocktails were solid, great selection of bourbon.

Service was friendly and efficient. What you’d expect in a top-tier steakhouse.

Pricey but consistent effort. Would come again.”

They are made from a yeast dough, with caramelized brown sugar inside, smallish, and served warm in a napkin so that you can take it with you while window shopping. The owner only serves them together because people ask for that, but I think they ask for it because they think that's how it's meant to be served. (At least, that's what we thought!)”

Today I had the opportunity to indulge again and the food here is phenomenal. Without Chaykhana's presence in Pittsburgh and their community events - it would not had opened me up to the world of related cuisines with deeper appreciation. Uzbekistan was the meeting point and hub of exchange. I hope that centrality of converging cultures blesses Pittsburgh with continuous diversity and acceptance.”
