“Been coming here since their initial location in Greenville. Went to their new location and loved it. Definitely smaller, but loved the intimate setting. Especially when guests embrace the concept. It’s like you’re all experiencing dining together prompting conversation with strangers gathering for the common love of food. Love everything about this new place. I’ve also had my whole office go out here one night and they were blown away. My friends from out of town told me that next time they come this is the first place we are going. “Location/decor/ambiance: the owners have tried to turn the spacious brick and beam interior of a former factory building into a ghetto-ish inner cityscape skateboard park using graffiti-style airbrush graphics, little skateboards that serve as bar chair seat backs, concrete floors painted with Providence manhole covers, etc. Visually, the effect is mixed. I “get” what the owners are trying for, but it isn’t for me an “attractive” dining decor. It looks much more like a dance club for young twenty-somethings. I quickly adjusted to the inner-city grunge decor, but what we couldn’t adjust to was the VERY loud rap/hip-hop music blaring out of some very robust speakers non-stop. Talking was difficult. Yes, I’m an older person, but I don’t begrudge anyone their musical sensibilities… provide its not full of “***** and “nigga” and roaring out at at least 90 decibels. Whatever they’re trying to be, they need to remember that they are l (at 10 am) a restaurant, not a dance club. Food & service: unexpectedly, given the above criticism, the food was outstanding, I mean really good. Caught us off guard. Just beautifully imagined and realized. Would I return? Probably not. Even the great food cant quite overcome the soundscape. Interesting place, though“

“I came here for taco Tuesday and the food was very good. I wasn't impressed at all with the service. Upon arriving , there was no host to greet even though there was a sign that said wait to be seated. Once the bartender took notice she seated us. Our service was very slow.
We sat outside, where there is plenty of bar and table seating along with indoor seating. I will come again but service needs improvement.“

“Last night, we walked towards The Aviary's entrance surrounded by beautiful flowers and lots of hydrangeas. Magical. The restaurant itself did not disappoint as it too was absolutely lovely. The wait staff was superb. Nice and efficient and they got every order perfectly. We were delighted. However, the food left a bad taste for sure. We were served room temperature brussel sprouts that were not cooked! Calamari was overcooked and rubbery. Pasta dish was floating in oil!! Total disappointment. Sadly, this beautiful restaurant has not earned our repeat business.“

She was attentive without being intrusive and it was evident that she really cared about providing a good experience. we each had a tasty cocktail and the food was great! My fiance had the papardelle bolognese and I had the steak frites. My steak was a perfect medium and the bookings was great as well. A little more pricey than the TGIFriday's that used to be here (🤣), but not terribly unreasonable either. We will definitely be back!“

“My husband and I went for the first time on Saturday and sat at the bar. We ordered apps and cocktails and of course oysters. Best oysters in RI by far believe it or not. Drinks were ok but food fabulous! Would have given 5 stars if not for the bartender. She focused solely on my husband the entire time even gave him a free drink. It was very obvious and blatant disrespect to me. My husband even commented on feeling uncomfortable. As a former bartender the general rule is to pay more attention to the wife than the husband out of respect but also because most often the wife is writing the tip. We will for sure be going back but will sit at a table and maybe only order sparkling water.“

“Just moved to the area and tried Stevie D’s for the first time. The food tasted amazing! We had a Portuguese burger with sweet potato fries and the chili cheese fries (with homemade chili). Nice beer selection - we had the Stevie D’s IPA and a peanut butter porter. We sat at a table but most folks were sitting around the bar and seemed to know each other. There was a live band in the back and a small outdoor space for people to stand and chat out front. Our waitress was super friendly and the whole vibe was chill. We’ll definitely be back!!“
