“The food and service are relatively good however the drink prices are ridiculous. A tea bag costs 4 cents and they charge $3.50 for a hot tea. A normal price at most places is $2.50 or less. I only get water when I go now.”

“We happened upon Tonella’s last December when we were looking for a place to eat after going to Flight Trampoline Park. We had a group of boys so we googled pizza places nearby and it was first on the list. It was so delicious that we decided to try it again for our anniversary. And another home run on our second visit. Cindy, our waitress, was warm and welcoming, the atmosphere was romantic and inviting, bustling but not overwhelming. It proved to be a great family place or date night spot. The food was amazing, just as good as the first time that we came. Try the Gorgonzola chips, they are so yummy! We will definitely be back for a third visit in the near future.”

“Passing through town and had to check this place out especially for the new pinball machine “Jaws”. The BLT I had with their in house made bread was fantastic along with a wonderful beer selection. They also have many craft can beers for purchase, wish I had taken the time to check them out. Looking forward to sporting my t-shirt I purchased.”

“we had a party on 30 that arrived with a reservation just before 9pm that included 16 teenage soccer players. the staff was incredibly friendly, efficient and had fun with the girls, even getting involved with the birthday singing. It was a fun and chaotic night but they were great to work with”

“Although the name of this place says Wings and Ribs, I want to share with you a hidden gem. Last night I ordered the Catfish Fingers appetizer and OMG, they were amazing! I don't know if it was the batter or a seasoning but they were incredible. Even my wife, who normally doesn't like fish was stealing them off my plate. “This ain't no Pepperidge Farm commercial, but I remember Sunday supper at the cafe in the town where my Momma was born and raised in the Carolina pines. I done gone to Texas nigh bout 40 years ago.

tldr; flounder, chicken fried steak, banana pudding, collards.

Eating at the Lizard's Thicket tonight brought back all the memories. Kimmie was sweeter than the tea, which coincidentally was the best I've had in years. The fried flounder was so good and crisp and crunchy, I skipped the knife and fork. THEY HAVE REAL COLLARDS!! The black eyed peas were perfect.

Momma hasn't been eating as much but she cleared the plate of chicken fried steak and rice and gravy. Y'all ... the white pepper gravy was not from a mix. Cornbread was just right and not sweet. The tea, by the way, was so good. It tasted different from what I'm used to in Texas - stronger, but not dark or bitter.

The staff were wonderful. Learned a little about the history and the family that started it, so be sure to ask about the decorative plates. There's a family story in those decorations. Everyone was so nice and helpful; it really was a family atmosphere.

I'll have to update this once I eat the blackberry cobbler. Was too full to eat it there. Mom also got a banana pudding to go.

(Update: the blackberry cobbler was great, but the banana pudding was awesome! We went back several times and tried different desserts... but I would recommend the banana pudding over everything else. The pecan pie was great too but I'll miss the 'naner pudding the most.)

We will be back and will make this a regular stop on our trip to Columbia.

It's not a happy trip for us, as we're making some difficult decisions, but thanks to Kimmie and Lizard's Thicket, Momma and I shared memories of home and remembered what real Southern cooking should be.

“This is the only great chinese food near me. I get the pork fried rice , add cabbage and egg. Sooo good and sometimes I get the mongollian beef with a little bit of onion and their wings are also delicious, my favorite is the braised. Not only is the food delicious but they are the friendliest people. They always give the best customer service. I only give 3 stars for atmosphere because though they do have a few tables and chairs. Most customers order to go. Give them a try.”

“Today while traveling home from vacation we stopped in for a quick lunch. Service and food were great as always! However, when we went to leave our car wouldn’t start. The owner, Mr. Arnold, was great, he jumped right in grabbing a team member to help get us jumped off. Unfortunately, he couldn’t get close enough to us. The team member drove my dad to O’Reily, which was about 3 miles away to get a jump box. I was able to take my 3 kids back inside a cool restaurant that had Wi-fi, coloring pages, books and games while we waited! The amount of team members who checked on us and interacted with the kids was amazing! They offered water; nuggets and even ice cream! 10/10 recommend if you are passing through this area!”

Plenty of seating indoors or outside. Pepsi fountain machine. Not many gluten free options. Free parking lot shared with other businesses. Can be difficult to find parking during busy times.”

“Stopped through on a whim. Pulled pork and brisket were great. Mac and cheese wasn’t for me but was decent. Green beans were… green beans.

Outside looked a little rough but I’m not there to oggle the decor. Just give me the food. A couple tables inside and out but not somewhere you come to sit and have your meal.

Other locals may come at me, but the meat was better than city limits and I didn’t have to stand in line 🙃”

“We stopped in to check out the food and atmosphere. Atmosphere has the “everybody knows your name” kind of feel. Very friendly. Bar tender and wait staff were excellent and very easy to talk to. They have weekly entertainment from Karaoke to DJs to live musicians. Plenty of space for a group of friends or the team after league games. They have pool tables, pinball and Golden Tee video. Their menu offers a great variety with something to please everyone. We ordered the Pepper Jack Bites, Tex Mex egg rolls, wings and a salad. The salad was very good, fresh ingredients and their homemade ranch was great! The flavor of the hot food was excellent. We got the Cajun flavor wings and the rub on them was just right. Overall, we thought this was a great stop.”

“The food was good and exactly as I had requested. My server was nice, but some of the others would not smile or interact at all when spoken to. I would like to see a more diverse menu like their other locations but I would come back.

The veggies were fresh and although some people do not like the veggies cut so large, I think they are perfect. Egg rolls were scrumptious and large . We had soup which was still piping hot when arriving home, house fried rice was perfection. Plenty of leftovers. Love, love, love .”

I’m about to walk back in and buy a big size. I’m not lying. It was the best from Starbucks I’ve ever had. Angel made the samples. Gal knows what she’s doing. Give her more responsibility. She has a gift of customer interaction and professionalism. This is coming from someone who purchases local roast herself and typically makes it at home with her Rocket espresso machine. “There food truck was at Bruzze Brewery on Lake Oconee. We were there when they opened at 4pm. The service was great and the food was outstanding. My wife got the lobster roll. I got the tacos. My wife is from New England. We also got some of their clam chowder and she says it was the best she had ever had. It only took us about five minutes to get our order after we placed it in the staff was so pleasant to communicate with.”
