“We enjoyed a wonderful meal 2 nights ago! Lisa was our server and she was phenomenal. We ordered the Tuna Tartare and fried Oysters as starters followed by the Pan Seared Scallops and Shrimp and the Grouper Special. All perfectly prepared! When we return to Beaufort we certainly will return! Service, great timing in bring out absolutely delicious food. We highly recommend!“

“I recently had the opportunity to play Cat Island Golf Club as a guest, and it was an excellent experience. The course was beautiful and very well maintained, but the biggest highlight was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout the day. Gullah Grub Restaurant features low country cooking at its finest prepared in the traditions of the Gullah people living along Atlantic coastal regions. The building is super charming and filled with articles, photographs, and artwork related to the owners, Bill & Sara Green, and their mission to serve locally sourced organic foods. Bill was actually there and prepared our meals. I tried the chicken gumbo with a side of rice - she got the BBQ chicken lunch with potato salad and an extra side of mac-n-cheese. Of all these items, my favorite, by far, was the chicken gumbo - super thick and flavorful with a hint of smokiness - EXCELLENT! I mixed the rice with it and it was perfection. Next time I'll try the shrimp gumbo. My second favorite item was the potato salad - seriously, the best I've ever had. Drinks were very good (I preferred the lemonade over the sweet tea). Corn bread is complimentary at the start - very tasty! We had room for a little dessert, so we asked our server for her recommendation - sweet potato pie or peach cobbler. The pie was her favorite, and it did not disappoint! We really felt like family in this restaurant, and the food was great. You must try this place if you're in the Beaufort area!“

“Ordered food at 1220. 40 minutes of waiting and still no food. Left at 1300 empty handed. They take way too long for mediocre at best food.Edit: changed to 4 stars. They fixed their mistake and reimbursed more than I paid at the time. Not a huge fan of the fries to be honest. Burgers and breakfast burritos are good.“

I had the pork tenderloin sandwich which was excellent and as part if the value meal deal was reasonably priced. I did splurge and upgraded to the onion rings which were well worth the extra $0.99. We took the survey on the back if the receipt and got a free scoop of ice cream. It was a great way to top off the meal.“

“Very positive experience. We ate on the outside porch on Friday evening. It was a beautiful nighttime view of the water & park, yet we stayed warm because of the overhead heat lamps. I had the fried pork wontons & my husband had the shrimp burger. Both were excellent. Our server suggested dessert - the fried cheesecake strawberry doughnut. It was so DELICIOUS!!!!!!!“

“Excellent food in a clean restaurant. I had the chicken fried chicken and it was great. The chicken had a crispy and flavorful crust and the mashed taters were creamy and delicious. Serving size was generous as well for the price. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food from ribs and wings to an awesome baked potato. Ample parking available. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Service was good but a little slow and delayed but not terrible. I would return on my next visit to Beaufort.“
