I did find the food a little too salty for my taste, but still extremely edible. I do have one complaint and suggestion about the Rainbow Trout that I ordered; the sauce and roe was served on top of the fish skin and in my opinion, it would have been better skin side down with sauce on the fish itself. The only time I personally would eat fish skin is if it was fried crispy and that is not the case with this dish. I'll be back, but I will probably order something else next time.”

“Ms. Therese saved the day. We were taking a trip to Nashville then Memphis for my daughter's 16th birthday. We live in Texas! She asked me if she could at least have some cake on her birthday? So I googled bakeries in Memphis. Ms. Therese was the only one that responded to me. It was only 6 days notice, but she said she would do it. The cake was perfect. She did a great job and it tasted soooo wonderful. This lady is an angel for helping me last minute, and she is so sweet and friendly! Loved meeting her.”

Even though reservations were made and confirmed and they knew in advance that the students were coming they refused to seat our party and denied the reservations ever being made even after being shown the email messages. The female manager asked for us to wait outside of the restaurant being that it was about 42 degrees that day until the limousine arrived to pick the students back up . The children were dressed in their Sunday best with white dresses and the young boys were in tuxedos and were looking forward to having their luncheon that was awarded to them for their hard work at school. I strongly believe that if the students were not all African American and staff as well they would have treated us differently. I will never ever support nor spend money with Majestic Grill again. I was hurt the way they treated these students who worked oh so hard and were looking forward to what was supposed to be a special day to remember.”

The bar tender, larger guy with a bread was friendly, helpful, attentive and offered a bar snacks menu but also suggested that we could have the restaurant menu from 5 pm which we readily accepted. It was all sensational and we stayed longer and spent more because they were so welcoming and the wine and food fantastic. It was a great night, we tipped generously. Thanks so much”

There was no line I was the next car at the speaker I put in my order as a double patty melt grilled onions cheese light mayo, seasoned fries Sierra mist. Please let me tell you the night crew did the damn thing. I have had four double Patty melts at this location and last night was the best one I give them a 1000 out of 10 seriously! So big shout out to the night crew after 11:20 p.m. last night thank you all so much for taking care of my order with no mistakes on top that the atmosphere was peaceful and very calm and pleasant.”

“I ordered the 6-pack from Crumbl the week of July 7th, and overall, it was a great treat! I tried the Molten Lava, Brookie, and Milk Chocolate Chip (we got two of those) — all soft, fresh, and full of flavor. The Molten Lava was my personal favorite — rich and gooey in the best way.
I didn’t get to try the Raspberry Cupcake or Biscoff Cheesecake because my kids and their daddy got to them first (they clearly approved 😂). Looking forward to trying those next time. Definitely worth the visit!”

“We have dined at Flemings Las Vegas numerous times over the past years (15+ ago) so we were excited to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary at Flemings Memphis. We were greeted by the host staff and shown to our table, including a small place card celebrating our anniversary. Our server, Kimberly, was phenomenal!! Atmosphere was lovely as expected. We ordered a bottle of wine, 6 oysters on the half shell, wedge salad, lobster bisque, scallops, king crab and two sharable sides. Everything was great except.....the scallops were quite small. I mean, no more a single bite each, and a not a big bite or mouthful. But maybe a silver dollar size each. They literally got lost in the dish/bowl amongst the mushrooms, and greens. The small size affected the cook as they were slightly over done (I have eaten plenty of scallops so I understand what the appropriate texture is). My wife throughly enjoyed her king crab but I was disappointed in my scallops, making my experience far less then expected and as experienced from Flemings Las Vegas. I do understand that there may have been a "supplier issue", having worked in the food industry for years, but serving a substandard (IMO) dish is far worse then telling a customer that a dish isn't available due to "ingredient quality issues". I did mention the portion concerns to the restaurant management to which they apologized but the truth is, the "damage" was done. All in all, the experience was OK, highlighted by the awesome wait staff, including others that assisted Kimberly!! We will probably visit Flemings Memphis again the future, but I doubt I will order the scallops (a favorite of mine) again.”

Today, I’m sharing my experience at Char Restaurant, located on Highland Street in Memphis. This is a fine dining restaurant, and I chose it to celebrate my friend’s birthday. We made a reservation for two, and everything from the moment we arrived was smooth and welcoming.
We were seated promptly, and the atmosphere was elegant and relaxing, just as you’d expect from a fine dining establishment. The staff were courteous and professional. I don’t recall the name of our server, but he took excellent care of us throughout the evening.
🍽️ What We Ordered:
Fried Chicken (Main Course) – Served with vegetables and gravy, this dish was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, and the presentation was spot on.
Shrimp and Grits with French Fries – My friend ordered this and mentioned it was the best she’s ever had. The shrimp were well-cooked, and the grits were creamy and flavorful.
Blueberry Banana Pudding – This dessert was a delightful surprise. I had asked the server to bring it out as a birthday surprise, and he did so perfectly — bringing it out when she wasn’t looking, which made the moment even more special.
💬 Final Thoughts:
We had a wonderful time celebrating, and my friend truly enjoyed her special day. I really appreciate the hospitality and attention to detail shown by the Char team. The food, service, and ambiance all came together to create a memorable experience.
We’re definitely planning to return soon to explore more of the menu.

I first came to Cameo for date night and I was impressed with the rather vibey northern bar feel. We had a burger and two old fashioned drinks, which we both enjoyed.
The service was quick and the service was great!
I came back after the Cooper Young Fest for happy hour with my girls and was so pleased to see that they have happy hour from 4-7 EVERYDAY! The bartenders are excellent, and took great care of us. We stayed for the whole happy hour. Everything is good.

The only time I personally would eat fish skin is if it was fried crispy and that is not the case with this dish. I'll be back, but I will probably order something else next time.”
