The bruschetta toast was very tart, too much so for me but my sister loved it. The avocado toast was generous with the avocado. The avocado spread was pretty tangy, but the honey drizzle on top complimented the tanginess nicely. The bowl was $14.50 and each toast was $6.50.”

We've traveled all over for it so we thought why not try a new pie in our favorite city. It did not disappoint. We went for the hot honey pepperoni and veggie deluxe and they were both amazing. My husband got the spicy rigatoni and it was VERY close, if not better than the dish we just had in Chicago. We will 100% be back! The staff were also very welcoming. Great experience!”

“We had an absolutely amazing experience. We tried 3 different cheeses, oysters with caviar and a cream. The flavors of the oysters were amazing. I had the filet mignon, which was one of the best filet mignon I’ve ever had. The drinks were all great absolutely loved my pickle martini. I also had the espresso martini, and we even tried a martini that had a small macaroon. My husband also had a steak with fries, which were all cooked great and tasted very great. Amazing flavors if you’re looking for a great French restaurant, this is definitely it.”

I do declare that fine little red headed filly then comensed singing the waffle house song while she washed every dish in the place 3 times all by herself. That being said, they always have anything and everything a gas station would possibly have. The food is honestly mind blowing for what its worth and the kitchen does a great job for really delivering quality. Its always clean and theyre always prompt. “Jig and Reel is a Knoxville staple. I’ve been coming here since college. The whiskey menu is extensive so if that’s your thing, this is the place. The food is shockingly good. I have always loved their fish and chips - super crispy, great fries, and homemade tartar sauce. My husband loves their scotch egg. We reserved their side room for an event recently and were so impressed. There was no fee for renting as we had about 30 people there that would be eating and ordering drinks. We were able to decorate the room to our liking (but of course took everything down afterwards). We ordered a charcuterie board and it was absolutely beautiful and delicious. Our server (can’t remember his name but he kinda looks like the DJ ‘Eliminate’) was fantastic. He was fast with orders, very observant of the room, and offered help wherever we needed. I was also happy to see that we were still treated well with it being a queer event - there was no hostility. We’ll happily have more events in the future here.”

“We had a baby shower at CommonPlace Coffee & Community, it was the perfect event space! The staff member present was amazing, kind, and super helpful. The space is huge and accommodates a good amount of people, it was super spacious and we were able to decorate as well for the theme. “On brief vacation with my lovely wife, our hotel clerk suggested Monterrey which was close by. Visited of Friday evening and the place was packed. Many of the patrons appeared to be of Mexican descent, always a good sign of good, authentic food. We were quickly seated in a super clean, delicious smelling dining room and immediately greeted by a lovely young lady who brought us hot, fresh tortilla chips and a wonderfully tasty, fresh salsa which must have been made in house with chunks of fresh tomato and the perfect blend of chillies and herbs. We noticed that everyone was super clean and superbly efficient in doing their assigned tasks without being in the way, all the while appearing to be genuinely happy! This is a sign of an excellently managed business. A handsome, well I groomed gentleman (who I think is a part of the nuclear family who has operated this business for 35 years) stopped at our table to greet us and express his genuine appreciation for our patronage. He recommended a house specialty 'POLLO MONTERREY'. What a magnificent dish! Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked chicken with spinach and some secret ingredients and spiced most excellently. Sizzling hot dancing sauces made this dish visually stunning and aromatically enticing. I cannot recommend this dish too highly. It was so delightfully good that we came back today, Saturday, for a repeat performance. This restaurant shows me how well an establishment can be operated. Nothing but excellence, unpretentious class, and the utmost in genuine customer service and satisfaction. Just so you know, my wife and I are not food critics, just common folks who appreciate being so well cared for in every respect. I forgot to mention the prices! We found the entire experience to be a tremendously good value. Do yourself a favor and visit this place. I expect you'll become regulars. We would be except that we live on Jane beautiful west (best) coast of Florida. Once again, Monterrey is in our decades long experience, right at the top of restaurants we would chose to frequent. We had a reservation at 5pm and bc of traffic from the stadium we arrived at 5:15 and had called ahead to let them know. They said no problem bc we were within the grace period. However, once we were seated our waiter Steve, or Steven, was excellent. Well versed on the menu, extremely helpful and polite. There are many times at upscale restaurants the waiters can be snooty, which has never made sense to me. We are frequent diners at Ruth's Chris and he is now our favorite waiter. They have an extensive array of Italian desserts made right on the premises & I can tell you that theNY Cheesecake is authentic-heavy, delicious and satisfying!
Their prices are very reasonable and there’s plenty of free parking available.

“They say you should never meet your heroes, but clearly they’ve never met Candy. I ordered a simple unsweet tea, macaroni, a burger slider… and she turned it into a five-star experience. Halfway through my meal, a flock of rogue pigeons somehow burst through the front door (long story), and one made a dive straight for my slider. In one fluid motion, Candy blocked it with a cocktail shaker, slid me to safety, and single-handedly negotiated peace with the birds. She refilled my tea before I even knew I was thirsty again. Her tea pouring technique should be studied in hospitality schools, and if she ever writes a memoir, I’ll be first in line… assuming she isn’t too busy saving the world. 5 stars, no notes”

Ask for Kenzi’s tables when you come, and you won’t be disappointed. Husband had the pork chop, mixed veggies, side salad, and I had the Hot honey chicken sandwich + Mac n Cheese. We both had one Volunteer drink, each. Whole experience is fabulous and highly recommend! This is the place we will be bringing visiting family members and friends.”

Very cute spot, super nice barista who recommended a few other locally owned places to check out and the perfect iced americano to keep me awake in the car. The salted caramel and chocolate shortbread we grabbed was divine.”

“My wife, our 3-year-old daughter, and I stopped in today for a late lunch while visiting Knoxville from Ooltewah (Chattanooga). We're always on the lookout for great spots to eat, and this place did not disappoint. While there was a bit of a wait from ordering to getting our food, we weren’t in a rush—and it was absolutely worth it. My wife did also make the comment that she read that everything here was cooked fresh from ordering. Our server was friendly, attentive, and gave us fantastic recommendations after asking a few thoughtful questions. We ended up loving everything we ordered. As we were eating, we overheard another customer commenting on how good the food was and how busy it had been earlier—it was around 2-3 p.m., so we figured the staff was catching their breath after the lunch rush. We’ll be back in town next week, and we’re definitely coming back here! I signed the check and left it at the table, as we had to hit the road back to Ooltewah and didn’t get the chance to properly thank our server. She was excellent, and we truly appreciated her service. We hope to see her again when we're back next week.”

“I wanna give a shout out to Mr Austin, I had to ask for his name. The guy with the white hat on in a professional black polo! This guy right here seem to be the bomb! During a busy rush I am assuming as you guys was line out the door Austin here was making sure everyone was keeping up but not only that he was also seeming like he was teaching. So holding down a busy place and holding everyone down and training is a wow! Not only that but a girl wrong up our order wrong which caused my wife sandwiched to be messed up, but Austin comes over with a great attitude even though it was very busy he comes over with a great attitude even smiling as the girl wasn’t and he addressed us so kindly and fixed everything. Like this dude was amazing that I just had to leave a review for him. You don’t see many employees work so hard, specially under stress as I would be stress as it was so busy! But you never see a person work so hard while maintaining a great attitude. This was my wife and I first experience at a sandwich shop beside subway and this made us feel very welcomed, I mean even when the order was wrong he fixed it that guy is great for the job. Great leadership! Great with customers as we was watching not trying be a stocker! The place is nice and the food was very delicious. I highly recommend the chicken bacon ranch and my wife recommends the turkey sandwich”
