McDonald's in Austin

“Been eating here for the past year, almost every day.
The best french fries I’ve had! Always JUST fried, food is fresh as can be, especially for McDonalds restaurants.
Looks like something really change with them and they do have healthier food.
Stuff members are very pleasant and amazingly friendly, thanks for feeding me for the past whole year!

“Love their coffee. This is one of the only places that will give you as many half/half’s as you need. Trust me up to 15 I believe. I only always need less than that. But that makes the difference, I always enjoy my coffee.

“I want to commend the staff at this location. I placed an online order for breakfast and when I showed up the app showed the order had been canceled. I explained the situation and the staff was able to resolve the issue and did it with a smile! Amazing service!! I didn’t get her name, but it was a friendly African-American woman at the front counter who was handling the breakfast rush like a champ. She turned a bad situation into a return customer!“

“The employees were great. However my order was missing am item. Fortunately the drive thru wasn't busy so I drove back thru and let them know. There was no problem getting my missing food. However, if it had been a busy time, I world not have had time to do that and it works have been a problem.“

“Pulled into McDonald's and it was exactly what I needed. Everything came out quick and just how you expect it. The space is simple and familiar, making it easy to grab something with friends or even a quick family stop. It's one of those place that's always there when you want something fast and satisfying. “Kid at the window didn’t say a word to me. Handed me my food, mumbled something inaudible, closed the window. No fake niceties, no smile. Just food.

“For being just a Walmart McDonald’s I will tell you it’s the best McDonald’s I’ve ever been too. The staff is always friendly even though they are always packed. I honestly feel like it’s the busiest McDonald’s in Austin but they always have smiles on their faces and most important I’ve ordered from here more times than I can count since moving to Austin from Uber Eats or just grabbing food after grocery shopping and they have never messed up my order. I appreciate everyone that works there“

“THE BEST run Mcdonalds ever. The staff is bilingual and very friendly. They are constantly cleaning l, working and laughing. It is a great environment, especially for fast food. They bathrooms are always clean as well as tables floors and even the parking lot gets sprayed down.“

“This McDonald’s has been our go-to for years. We’ve lived in the area for 22 years, so that should tell you how often we come here! There is always a Hispanic lady who greets us so kindly and is genuinely happy to see us every time. We absolutely love her!

This evening, we saw that the Grinch meal was sold out due to high demand. I asked if they at least had a packet of the Grinch salt, and she went out of her way to check. She came back with a small bag of the salt for my child, which we truly appreciated. I hope management knows they have a true gem , her customer service skills are AMAZING.

What happened next, however, was disappointing. I believe her manager noticed what she did for us and said something to her about how they were out of the items and shouldn’t be giving any out. While I can’t be 100% sure she was being lectured, her facial expression and the way she looked at me and said “It’s okay” made it very clear she felt uncomfortable and I felt terrible that she risked getting in trouble just to make my child happy.

As someone who also works in hospitality management, I would never discipline or correct a team member in front of guests or customers. It’s unprofessional, uncomfortable for everyone involved, and completely inappropriate. These conversations should always happen privately, not during active guest service.“

“Perfect for breakfast, they even have apple pies and chocolate cookies in the morning if you want something sweet (sometimes available.) Cheaper than the one in Walmart. If you pre-order and go through the drive through they sometimes give you a free chocolate chip cookie. They're always accurate and fast.“

“I don't know who the manager is here, but whomever it is needs to be at EVERY McDonald's, they had everything right, food so hot it burned my mouth and that's exactly what I love, enough salt in the fries, thy actually added my Mac sauce and the right amount to my McDouble, my nuggets were steaming hot and th lemonade was perfect. And get this.... THEY DID NOT FORGET THE SAUCE OR NAPKINS. It was so good I tried to call while I was eating to thank them but no one answered.“

“This location is quick on food orders at the counter and drive thru but very slow in pick up orders and app orders. Also they don't participate in free fry Fridays. Staff is nice and bathrooms stay pretty clean. Its super hot at this location and due to high homeless population i wouldn't bring kids here. They will ask you for food or money. I am okay with that but not everyone is and it's super hot right now.“

“Yoooo I’m not from the area. I roll up, mobile order placed, AND I GET A COOKIE WITH MY RECIEPT??!!

Food took just a bit too so I pulled off to wait patiently because food takes a time to cook.

When they brought it they had a whole tray of condiments ready.

“Almost always, it's faster/easier to walk in to get an order than using the drive through. Not at this location on this morning, even when using the DIY kiosk to order.

Food was up to standards, but the time to do a simple breakfast order for 1 person seemed excessively long, as there was only 1 other customer inside before me.“

“This place is okay, as far as the service goes. The food is great of course because it is McDonald's. The service needs work as far as being nice. Not very helpful with people. Ask questions and get the no or I do not know attitude. Being blind I can not see prices, but asking the lady at the counter, her answers were it is 2 something or 3 something. I stand there hoping she would look it up, but of course not. Asked somebody if they were going to make more sweet tea, just said no and walked away. No explanation or apology, just no.“

“Really was unexpected, but the McDonald’s was great man. They had combos that tasted good. The food was cooked good the fries were even very tasteful. They have to touch green to order your food before you approach the cashier. They were very quick and simple. Excellent service. Thanks, ATX 512 Mobile Mechanic the owner and family.“

Example is Keyla, always positive and very active (with customers orders and keeping the place clean), or Wimer, very polite and caring. Orders are prompt and accurate. The place is very clean and not crowded.

“I’m a proud Gen X woman born in 1969, and I’ve had my fair share of McDonald’s experiences over the years… but THIS one? Hands down the absolute BEST I’ve ever had.
I was in Austin attending a funeral, and we stopped in for breakfast and decided to dine in since we had a little time. From the moment we walked in, Roxana changed everything I thought I knew about customer service at McDonald’s.
She welcomed us in with warmth and genuine kindness. And let me say this clearly… in all my years, I have NEVER been welcomed like that at a McDonald’s.
She took our order, thanked us sincerely, and even apologized (more than once) because the register was moving slowly. That alone showed professionalism and care. But she didn’t stop there.
Roxana came to our table with a caddy asking if we needed straws, napkins, or jelly. I was honestly blown away. At McDonald’s? Yes!
Then she came back AGAIN just to check on us and make sure everything was good.
That level of service is rare anywhere these days, not just fast food.
I was so impressed that I asked for her manager just to let them know how valuable she is. If I owned a restaurant, I would absolutely come back and recruit Roxana myself.
She brightened my day during a difficult time. Her smile, her energy, her attention to detail… top tier.
McDonald’s, if you’re reading this — Roxana is the blueprint. She should be training every new hire.

“I’ve been going to this McDonald’s infrequently for many years, always for coffee, but occasionally for a quarter pounder, this time for coffee.

There are two drive-through lanes and 16 parking spots for pickup and delivery services.
This leaves parking for dine-in customers in the back.

The serivice for dine-in customers reflects the parking for dine-in customers. While I stood at the register ready to order, I watched 4 employees, including the manager in social interaction, interrupted by occasional work. Another employee seemed to have been assigned the task of waiting on the dine-in customers.

My order came up pretty quick (how hard is coffee).

The seating in the front faces east and in the dinning room the windows face north. This would be a good place for a quiet start to the day, except for the piped-in music and the TV in the dinning room.

I noticed that there were no homeless in the store.

All of the employees seem to speak Spanish, and most seem equally proficient in English.

There is no beverage bar.“
