“I would like to respectfully start with; I’ve been to Uchi multiple times over the years and will never forget my first experience (which will always be the best in my mind.) That being said — tonight might have been the closest to first I’ve ever had. Chance, our server was attentive, knowledgeable, easy going, brought some of the best plates when we asked “bring us what you like/anything you think we missed” literally 12/10 would recommend. Ask for Chance, he knows his shiiiiiiii* and made our night absolutely amazing and something we will never forget!“

“Just completed a tour of the Central Texas Barbecue Scene. Visited Snow's BBQ-Lexington, Louie Mueller-Taylor, Kreus Market, Smitty's and Black's-Lockhart, The Salt Lick- Driftwood and Franklin's in Austin. It was great seeing the venues and the family history at these historic sites. I visited Franklin's in the past and felt it was the best brisket I had ever eaten in my life. I am a skeptic when it comes to famous barbecue joints. I must say that Franklin's BBQ was far superior to all of the restaurants I visited with no one even a close second. Aaron's attention to detail from the service, choice of briskets, the cook, the wrap, the holding and even the slicing of the final product is evident in every aspect of his trade. I was lucky enough to run into him at the restaurant and he happily talked BBQ with me. Franklin's may not have the long history of muti-generational BBQ in Central Texas, but he has figured it all out at a level that I have yet to see equaled by the best venues in the country. This is a bucket list restaurant for those who really enjoy BBQ. It is well worth the wait in line“

“My first time. I loved the atmosphere, relaxed vibe and fast service. At first l, I thought the burger was small (Deep End). Ðon't let it fool you. Turns out it took me 3 days to finish it 😅 it was more and became more and more delicious as leftovers. And you can walk off your meal down at the park or read 📚 😏. Even though there super busy, staff were fast total professionals and tended to me asking if I needed a drink. That was nice to get that attention - as busy as they were. “Love Bodhi Viet and what they stand for. Everything on the menu is vegan Vietnamese, mostly faux meats in different formats, not a ton of tofu. Think seitan. Most dishes are served with fresh, raw veggies or steamed veg with no seasoning which is a nice balance with the heavy, salty faux meat. Everything my husband and I have tried has been delicious! We try to try a new item every time. I overheard the cashier tell a regular that R10 is her favorite (braised tofu rolls). $5 vegan banh mi is a steal, and most of the other entrees are $9. You can currently order online and pay there with card or cash.“

Possum specifically does “trash” pizza: thin crust with inspired, creative signature pies like the bac-n Mac and the Philly cheese steak which are two of my favorites. “In Austin for the Thanksgiving holiday and this spot is a favorite of my brothers. Just a quick jaunt got us to this little spot with a lot of character, but let's talk about why we're all here, the food. Per my brother you can gauge a good restaurant/bar by how good (if they serve it) their sweet potato fries are and these are a knockout (basically the opposite of a Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson match) and the only dancing that's done is with the fries and their Sriracha Mayo as they wait to enter your mouth hole. Their main burger: The Buffalo Bastrop Burger (as pictured) is a delectable journey from ground sirloin city to the tang of the buffalo then to the bite of the bluest of the cheeses which creates the thrill of the ride releasing a satisfaction guaranteed with no need for a warranty. The Mac n Cheese hits you right in the fun bags with its creamy goodness (think Velveeta esq texture), flavor profile, and extra melted cheese saying, "Hey! You have to get through me first!!" and daggumit I will!! Great spot, great food, you shant be disappointed!!“

He was kind and patient while we navigated the menu. Portion sizes are generous — I ordered the junior size burger and it was still as big as a regular burger. This spot is a unique mix of burger joint, café, and bar, with bottled spirits for sale and other to-go snacks. It seems they share the space with other vendors that aren’t fully vegan, but their own menu is 100% vegan. My partner isn’t vegan, but he said it was the best vegan Reuben sandwich he’s ever had! There’s plenty of parking, and you can tell the team here is passionate and knowledgeable about what they serve.“
