“The whole dish was great, especially the vinegared rice, which had different flavors depending on the type of fish. A Japanese restaurant worth recommending“

“Amazing experience from the friendly and welcoming staff; high quality and delicious omakase; to the ambience where it’s not so loud that you can’t have conversations with your friends and interact with the chefs. Loved it and would gladly come back again!“

“Pearl sushi is a must for all the Dallas sushi lovers. The first visit was great, but coming back and getting the same level of quality says a lot. The fish was fresh, the rice was perfectly textured, and every roll tasted intentional nothing overloaded, nothing sloppy. Just clean, well balanced sushi.“

“I had the spicy salmon roll, spicy edamame, some house sake in a cool bottle and then finished off with the banana tempura ice cream. Everything was so good! The service was great too. It was raining very bad, and one of the gentleman helped us get back to our cars with his umbrella. He came in clutch!“

“This sushi was amazing!!! Their rice has the best flavor out of all the sushi spots in Dallas! I recommend their seared yellow tail, and salmon belly! Their baked lobster hand roll was also delicious! I will definitely come back for more hand rolls and sashimi“

“Dallas. A town where sushi often means rainbow rolls drowning in sriracha mayo, where the word “authentic” gets thrown around like confetti at a New Year’s party by people who wouldn’t know real wasabi if it slapped them across their spray-tanned faces. It’s a culinary wasteland of Instagram-ready abominations masquerading as Japanese cuisine.
But then there’s Kenneth.
Tucked away in the Dallas Farmers Market food hall, Ginzaro Sushi exists as a quiet rebuke to everything that’s wrong with American sushi culture. Kenneth isn’t some guy who watched “Jiro Dreams of Sushi” and decided to open a restaurant. He’s the real deal, a craftsman who understands that sushi isn’t about flash or gimmick or whatever the hell people are calling “fusion” or “western inspired Japanese” these days.
Watch him work. Really watch. The way he handles the fish, the respect in his movements, the precision of each cut. This is someone who gets it, who understands that great sushi is about restraint, about letting the fish speak for itself instead of burying it under a mountain of sauce, nonsense, and western influenced fillers.
The rice. Jesus, the rice. Properly seasoned, body temperature, each grain distinct yet cohesive. Kenneth knows what so many others refuse to acknowledge: that sushi rice is not just a vehicle for fish. It’s half the equation, maybe more.
In a city drowning in mediocrity, where every strip mall seems to house another sushi joint peddling the same tired rolls with names like “Cowboy Crunch” and “Texas Heat,” Kenneth stands alone. He’s not trying to reinvent anything. He’s not adding jalapeños or cream cheese or whatever other culinary crimes are being committed in the name of “local flavor.”
He’s just doing it right.
That’s revolutionary enough in Dallas.
The sushi arrives on simple trays, unpretentious and honest. No elaborate presentations, no theatrical flourishes. Just Kenneth’s work, laid out with the kind of quiet confidence that only comes from knowing you’ve got nothing to prove. Each piece sits there like a small meditation on what sushi should be.
And here’s the thing: I’ve eaten sushi in Tokyo, in hole-in-the-wall places where the chef barely acknowledges your existence and Michelin-starred temples to the craft. This is that. Kenneth has somehow transported not just the technique but the soul of Japanese sushi culture to a food hall in Dallas. The hospitality, the attention, the genuine care for each customer. It’s not performance. It’s real.
This is what happens when someone actually gives a damn. When craft matters more than Instagram likes. When respect for tradition isn’t just marketing speak but a lived philosophy.
In a town full of posers and pretenders, Kenneth at Ginzaro Sushi is telling the truth, one piece at a time.“

“The team was fantastic and the food was excellent! The staff did a great job interacting with us and making the experience fun and informative throughout each course. Easily the best omakase tasting I have experienced and highly recommend taking a trip downtown to experience it for yourself!“

“I made a reservation for my daughter and her boyfriend to celebrate her 21st birthday. I called and spoke to the manager and told him what the occasion was and asked if they could make it special for them The staff exceeded my expectations. They had some appetizers waiting for them when they arrived and brought out a birthday dessert. My daughter said it was a great experience and the food and service were excellent.“

“Hibiki exceeded all expectations! Our server, Shade, provided exceptional service—attentive, professional, and friendly throughout our entire visit. We ordered the Who’s Your Daddy and Holy Moly rolls, both of which delivered the perfect level of spice and flavor. The sushi was impressively fresh, beautifully presented, and truly a highlight of the evening. The restaurant’s ambiance was warm and inviting, with a distinctive New Orleans-inspired atmosphere in the heart of Deep Ellum. Every detail, from the quality of the food to the attentive service, made for an outstanding dining experience. Hibiki is highly recommended for anyone seeking elevated sushi, bold flavors, and impeccable hospitality.“

Everyone there takes pride in their craft and provide the utmost service and hospitality. It was a delicious meal with a great vibe, by far the best hidden gem in Dallas.“

“There is free parking in the garage. We were late to our omakase appointment due to the rain but they were very understanding. We got a free drink and chose sake and got 15 courses. My absolute favorites were the salmon and tomato and toro and onion sauce. They were phenomenal. For valentine, it was $100 per person so this was an amazing deal for everything we got.“

“We went on Valentine’s day at around 3 pm with no reservations and were immediately seated (on the patio). We both enjoyed ourselves, the food and the atmosphere. The margaritas were incredibly strong, which is not a bad thing. The bill for 2 entrees, 2 sides, and 3 margaritas was 120 after tip so I believe the pricing was fair.
Unfortunately I did not take any pictures, but I will come back if i’m ever in the area again.“

“First time here. Ordered takeout due to pandemic. Came on a Friday evening around 7:30pm. Ordered 4 rolls: rainbow roll, dragon roll, Greenville roll, & spicy tuna kiss roll. Presentation is nice. Fish quality is smooth, creamy, and does not have a frozen multiple times texture. Flavor is nice. Roll pieces are actually bite sized and -just- fit in your mouth. (I have a small mouth, so they may fit better in an average person’s mouth). Kind of disappointed with the minuscule amount of wasabi & ginger that came with each dish, but wasabi taste fresh & has adequate spice. Pickled ginger is quite sweet. Overall, everything was good. I’d recommend & I’d come back.“

“Had a wonderful experience with our server Mai. We came out after being stuck on the house during the Dallas winter storm. Mai took such good care of us. Asked me and my husband about when we got married and actually seemed interested in us. Such a sweet gesture! She helped me choose the choturo sashimi, the 5 treasure sashimi, chicken ramen, and encouraged us to get the seared salmon belly. It was so good we made two more orders of the salmon belly! Thank you for the amazing food and service. Shoutout to Mai!“
“This is hands down one of the best omakase sushi experiences in Dallas — and easily among the best in Texas.
The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between cozy and elegant. It’s intimate without feeling stiff, elegant without being pretentious — the kind of place where you can truly focus on the food and the craftsmanship behind it.
What really sets this restaurant apart is the exceptional quality of the fish, especially the Japanese-sourced seafood. You can immediately tell how fresh everything is — clean flavors, perfect texture, and absolutely no heaviness. Each piece of sushi feels thoughtfully prepared, highlighting the natural taste of the fish rather than overpowering it.
The omakase progression is extremely well-curated. Every course flows naturally into the next, showcasing the chef’s deep understanding of traditional Japanese technique while still feeling refined and modern. From the knife work to the rice temperature and seasoning, everything is dialed in with true professionalism.
This is not just “good sushi” — this is serious, professional-level sushi, made for people who truly appreciate authentic Japanese omakase. If you’re looking for a place that prioritizes quality, freshness, and craftsmanship over trends or gimmicks, this spot is a must.
Highly recommended for special occasions, date nights, or anyone searching for a top-tier sushi experience in Texas.“

“We just found this place when we noticed it on the sign when we drove by and we’re so glad we did! This place is tucked back away from parking lot, so IYKYK. It was delicious! We normally don’t like handrolls and really loved the Bluefin Tuna one especially! We sat at the bar and made friends with our sushi chef (maybe he wouldn’t go as far as to say that 😆). He was very friendly! We will definitely be back!“
