“Kaiyo is one of my favorite spots in Dallas. Have been going several times a month since they opened, and it's always great. The chefs Will and Raymond are talented and do a great job of making you feel welcome. The sushi is fantastic. The restaurant has a great vibe too. I'm vegetarian, and theres several great vegetarian sushi options ( mushroom and eggplant sushi!). Also, they make great cocktails. Highly recommend

We got a mixture of 5 specialty rolls. The Burning your stomach and the Threesome Special were two of my favorites. We also got the Franky & Boom Boom Nipple Roll both delicious. Literally every one of the rolls were heavenly! I didn’t realize how big the rolls were though! The Japanese egg roll wonderful as well!!“

We had our anniversary dinner here. I ordered the Dozo omakase and my girlfriend had the Handroll set.

The fish was absolutely exceptional, from the quality, the color, and the taste.

We ordered more after the course was done.

Kay was an amazing hostess to us and never left our water glasses empty.

Ken was our sushi chef and he was a pro at crafting the sushi. He was funny and paid attention to what we enjoyed about each piece presented to us!

“Great local sushi, maki, and INARI spot in Dallas! I had never tried inari before (imagine a sushi roll in a cooked tofu wrap). It was really good! Lots of fun to try creative new dishes, and they were great to share! We really enjoyed our meal and look forward to coming back again!

It’s all bar/ high table seating indoors. Outdoors they have a nice patio with good shade. The tables on the patio are typical height tables and there are also a few lounge chairs to sit in.

“Absolutely loved this spot. The setting is super casual but also very chic at the same time. The entrance reminds me of a classic New York style restaurant and the level of food and service do all the talking.

The sashimi and fresh sushi are top quality with little elements of elevated taste. The seared salmon and the red snapper are my absolute favorites and I would highly recommend the Philly style wagyu roll. Subtle but obvious when you taste it.

The Japanese whiskey old fashioned. Was a highlight for me. The infusion of the smoke comes with an amazing creative element that I recommend ordering directly at the bar to watch the creation of those classic cocktail.

Next time I visit I will be sitting at the sushi bar to take in the coordination of the chefs and watch this beautiful artistry of my favorite cuisine on earth.“

I called and spoke to the manager and told him what the occasion was and asked if they could make it special for them The staff exceeded my expectations. “Very awesome and curated experience. They take you through 17 courses and do a great job explaining the fish and its background. Sake pairing was really yummy as well. Chris (assistant mgr I believe) was super inviting. Afterwards they take you to the bar next door (which we made the mistake of going to first haha). “First time here. Ordered takeout due to pandemic. Came on a Friday evening around 7:30pm. Ordered 4 rolls: rainbow roll, dragon roll, Greenville roll, & spicy tuna kiss roll. Presentation is nice. Fish quality is smooth, creamy, and does not have a frozen multiple times texture. Flavor is nice. Roll pieces are actually bite sized and -just- fit in your mouth. (I have a small mouth, so they may fit better in an average person’s mouth). Kind of disappointed with the minuscule amount of wasabi & ginger that came with each dish, but wasabi taste fresh & has adequate spice. Pickled ginger is quite sweet. Overall, everything was good. I’d recommend & I’d come back.“

We had the spicy shrimp roll, shrimp fire roll and lady linda roll and they were all great.I also regularly refill water here. I would prefer coming here for water than going to those water stations in the parking lots. They also have alkaline water and carts to roll out in case you have more than one 5 gal container.Overall, this place is a hidden gem and glad it exists here. I recommend giving it a try!“

“The best Poke Works location! I’ve been to a few around Dallas, and the one in Uptown always has the best portion sizes and service.

Vegetarian options: Lots of veggies for secondary ingredients in poke bowls/burritos. For primary proteins there are two kinds of tofu. You can also choose “no protein” and load up on other ingredients.

Dietary restrictions: Lots of options for vegetarians/pescatarians/and even vegans. Almost all items on the menu are dairy free. The poke salad is a solid option for anyone who is keto/paleo, and most ingredients are gluten free. The staff has never had any issue answering my questions about dietary issues.“

Our family of ten were seated in the back (outdoor but inside) and we were treated as very special people, and the service by Luke was extraordinary. The food was wonderful....plates were empty.
