“This is a small eating place not far from the DonWes flea market on the opposite side of Business 83. Food is very good, and they have some great specials! We especially like the fried shrimp and Basa fish plates! The soup is excellent, too! Everyone we have taken there likes it!“

“I kept driving by this place. I looked it up and has great reviews. I finally had time to stop by for a late dinner. Family owned hole, in the wall restaurant. I had the pleasure to meet David. Him and his mom were very welcoming and friendly. I tried the Fish & Shrimp w/ Fries. 10/10 recommend. Freshly made to order. The sauces are made in house, the tartar and Katrina sauce were both delicious. I will definitely be back with my family.“

“Tonia, presented me with thier famous pozole. I am a very critical person when it comes to Pozole. It was DELICIOUS !!! Plate presentation was SUPERB, and everything I wanted, they provided !!! The service Tonia provided was PERFECT !!! I highly recommend this restaurant . Place is clean and Tv playing Mexican videos …. This is our 3rd time here, & every time we try something new. “Casa de Marisco is a staple in Weslaco. Don't let the name fool you. It isn't just seafood they serve here. But they have an awesome shrimp cocktail and the Tierra y Mar dishes are an awesome choice for those who want fried shrimp and fish while also hitting the spot for the chicken and beef fajitas. I always recommend it when asked for a good place to eat. This is my botana place. The botanita (for one) easily feeds 2 or 3. So much food. It's been a while since I've dined in but I see some familiar faces and they've always had great service. KEEP IT UP GUYS!!!“

“I've always thought LJS is a good deal. The food was good, the service was expected and the old school feel of this location gives it a 4 star. The ice machine was not working nor was there any tea available. Not big things since I was in no hurry. The outside the building needs to be cleaned up and refurbished, a fresh/clean look. Don't change the building style though.

Dietary restrictions: Many forget the LJS added to their menu awhile back. There are some Lite items if you are trying to watch your calories.

Kid-friendliness: Definitely for kids as it is a great way to try fish or other seafood. Also they still give out their pirate hats!“

Caldo de res very good. Big chunks of Mexican squash tasty. Side of rice spot on as well as the flour tortillas. Very friendly staff. Ranchero and Banda on stereo to entertain. Owner welcomes everyone into the restaurant like his home.“
