“First time dining at Fish City Grill at 7010 W Loop 1604 N and could not have been happier with the food, service and all-around experience. My wife and I were eating out on our 22nd wedding anniversary and chose this location based on the online menu and reviews. She had the blackened cobia tacos on the special of the day menu and I had the fried seafood platter. Both were excellent as was the shrimp and crab queso appetizer. In addition, our waiter brought us a free sampler that included the roasted jalapeno soup, crab bisque, clam chowder and gumbo. All were delicious. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive throughout our meal and presented us with a 20% off coupon for our next visit. We were surprised that the place was not more crowded than it was on a Saturday evening, because the food and overall experience should be attracting a big clientele. Again, thanks to the entire staff for a wonderful dining experience. And for anyone thinking about visiting, don't hesitate. You're missing a great meal at a very reasonable price.“

“This is by far our FAVORITE restaurant in San Antonio. We always order the same two dishes, Chicken Victoria and the Plank Cedar Salmon. We also enjoyed the jambalaya, shrimp, and chicken piccata. They start your order with some warm bread and cilantro dipping oil. It’s a must try!“

“Lovely place! Amazing food and service. The owner greeted their guest with welcoming arms. I was able to eat their famous shrimp quesadilla(tacos) along with yummy rice and vegetables. My second dish was their fried oysters with onion rings. The oysters were fried perfectly .with soft crunchy texture. The onion rings were also fried better than most establishments and the skin actually stayed on during eating. The waitresses really were very attentive to their guest which is always a good sign good leadership. Never needed to ask for anything as my waitresses was absolutely divine!. The atmosphere was awesome 👌! They had a large mural on the back wall that depicted the people of the Gulf of Mexico working together on a beach. Whoever the artist was did an amazing job. The inside of restaurant aims for the "By the Sea" theme. They have been in the community for a good long time and it is a testimony to their AMAZING food and service! Thank you Hector!

“I had heard bad things about Fred's so never ate there. But, once I saw them advertised on Texas Eats, we went to our local Fred's and I was very pleasantly surprised. The facility is so clean--no smells of rancid grease or 'seafood' when you walk in; a nice little eating area; order at the counter. I got Seafood Platter #1, which had three pieces of fish, 2 shrimp, 2 oysters, plenty of white bread, fries and a jalapeno. It was all quite good, piping hot and crispy. I'm glad to know that I can get a simple, fast, tasty, economical seafood dinner close by.“

The ceviche appetizer with cucumber is fresh and huge! Don’t be shy…try it with the octopus and one of their many drink options. Fresh mixed juices with or without alcohol is a great compliment with the home made guacamole. My kids love the juice because it looks and tastes great! The whole fried fish entree is my favorite and the taco plates erupt with flavor. Live music on Saturday night with the air conditioned patio overlooking the hills creates a vibe that only one of their legendary micheladas can compete with. I love the bar area with their countless TVs and the customer service is always top notch, even when the restaurant is filled with people. The detail to flawless presentation, clean tables and the easy parking make this my go-to restaurant for a great atmosphere and just damn good food! Cheers!“
