“Welcome home. If I could title my review, that would be it. From the moment I stepped through the door, the (cute!) young man behind the counter made me feel like he had been waiting for me all day. I have anxiety, but it melted away with his charm. The mac and cheese wasn’t ready when I got there, so I was given two choices: they’d replace it with any side, or I could wait and they would make it fresh. Who doesn’t like fresh food? I was entertained while I waited, and the time flew by. Food was hot and fresh. Service was above and beyond. It was my first time in Grand Prairie, but I hope to be back ASAP — only partially for the eye candy!“

The brisket is well-seasoned with a beautiful bark, though it could be a little meatier in terms of smokiness. The ribs have a great balance of flavor, but on occasion, they lean a bit toward the dry side. Sausage snaps just right and delivers a grill-iant burst of spice. The sides are solid—potato salad and beans do their job, but they won’t steal the spotlight from the star of the show: the meat.

Service is friendly, though the line can get long, and seating fills up quickly. The atmosphere is laid-back and well-done, perfect for kicking back with good barbecue.

Overall, David’s Barbecue is a cut above many spots in town, earning a solid four stars. A little more consistency in moisture and flavor would make it truly prime. But if you’re craving some smoky goodness, it’s definitely worth a visit!“

“On Tuesday my sister and I made our way through the greater Dallas area and planned to stop and eat at Hurtado’s Arlington location. My brother in law and husband came here earlier in the year and have raved about it ever since. My plan was to bring anything leftover back home for the husband. We get in line, which moved rapidly, and I immediately ask about honey and pineapple usage on any of the food. I was told only the gold sauce had honey and they could just leave it off. Perfect! Without me asking the server immediately told the kitchen switch gloves, switch knives and anything else you can. I greatly appreciated the extra care and concern. We head to check out. The cashier hadn’t even handed me my receipt yet when the server walks up and says “so…there’s a honey glaze on everything except the brisket and burnt ends. And everything is cooked on the same grates.” Bummer! I’m not willing to put my life on the line to eat bbq. Toby and Wendy tried so hard to figure out alternatives or anything else they could possibly do, but in the end they just refunded the order. But I didn’t leave empty handed and the hubby was ecstatic to get some Hurtado’s brought home. I just want to give a huge thanks to everyone at Hurtado’s Arlington location, especially Toby and Wendy, for not only caring but going out of their way to try to fix it. It was very much appreciated, especially when so many other restaurants just shrug their shoulders and say “I don’t think so.” When I ask about my allergens. It meant a lot that you guys cared enough about your customer to not put them in danger. I can’t personally attest to the bbq but I can say that cabbage slaw is AMAZING and the corn is fabulous! My family said the bbq was excellent even reheated the next day. In the words of my 16 yr old, “It’s so good it almost brings a tear to your eye.” And that’s coming from a family of bbq snobs who compete in competitions and do bbq pop ups of their own. “Turning Point is one of our favorite breweries in the DFW area and we make it a point to to stop in anytime we are in the area visiting family. Having visited breweries across the US, one thing that is usually lacking in quality 99% of the time is food. I am not sure how long Godspeed has been serving up their delicious BBQ at Turning Point but the brewery should do everything they can to retain them. Godspeed has some of THE BEST brisket I have ever had in my life. It was melt in your mouth good and the bark was perfection. They have bbq sauce available but this is one of those times you should let the meat speak for itself and savor the flavor of it on its own before you douse it in sauce. I promise you will thank me later for this. Also, the beans were FANTASTIC!!! I can understand if y’all don’t want to share the recipe but they were some of the best beans I have ever had! We were hoping to find some fantastic BBQ on our visit and decided to end our at at Turning Point. Who knew we would find some of the best BBQ we have ever had in our entire lives??? The family that runs it is super friendly too. Shout out to the owner’s Dad who was so kind and generous with his time chatting us up! “Some of the best BBQ in Ft. Worth. Not a really big place but they've been around for years. There aren't many people you can talk to in Ft. Worth who don't know about Lloyd's cafe. It's almost a historical movie to the local residents. Laid back atmosphere and they boast "the coldest beer in Ft. Worth." “Updating review. DO NOT COME HERE IN THE MORNING. pretty sure the food is just being reheated came at night time and everything was perfect. Nothing overcooked or dried out.

Having to update from my 5 star this food has went down hill fast the good looking picture is from when they first remodeled it. Food has been very inconsistent. Food was great when it first open. Went from great looking food to always dried out and under seasoned food. Mac and cheese is sticky and dry. Meat is completely dried out most of the time also. The good picture is how it looked before now it's just crap food again like it was before. Some day the cornbread is great other days it's hard. Same thing with the potatoes some day they are nice crispy on outside and seasoned well but it just seems like they just mash a potato and serve it to you“

“I love this restaurant/gas station. They have a wide variety of items, food, lots of wines, in-house BBQ, and more. I only gave the (produce) food two stars because it was always excellent.., until the cantaloupe gave me food poisoning. It may have been a fluke but, sadly, I can’t recommend the fruit for this reason. I have not had any such issues with the actual restaurant side of the business, only the packaged fruit.“

“This Rudy's location is consistently good. I like their smoked potatoes loaded with turkey or pork loin. Pulled pork sandwiches are good as well. Rudy's does not have a fryer, so no fries or fried okra, but lots of other sides to choose from. I bought a bottle of their Sissy Sause to take home.“

“I was starving when I landed here today so I was already looking up the food places in the airport before we even landed. I almost settled for Subway but instead came to Counsin’s. People always rave about Texas BBQ and every time I’ve had Texas BBQ it was horrible BUTTTTT y’all got the cheat code.
