“I’m blown away by the quality of barbecue that H-E-B is offering! I thought you had to go to one of the trendy hip spots around Austin to find brisket and turkey this good, but I’ve been proven wrong. Their pitmaster Harvey, is a great guy who’s always more than happy to “talk cue” so if you’re ever in the store, make sure to stop by and say hello! I met him at the Texas 50 top Pitmasters event of all places! Don’t sleep on this hidden affordable gem of a barbecue plug!“

“Stopped in on Friday April 4th! I eat BBQ all over the state and have tried several of the Top places! This is hands down the best! This is what I think of when I think Texas BBQ! The brisket was best I have ever had! If I could have eaten the bone on the ribs, I would have and that Jalapeno Sausage, WOW! Sides were excellent as well. Best Beans I have ever had! Can not wait to make another trip back down!“

“Some of the best BBQ brisket I've had in a long time!! Everything was delicious, including the potato salad made from scratch!! Love that is locally owned in Pflugerville, don't have to drive to Austin anymore and wait crazy long lines. Finally, we have some great brisket here !! They provide catering services too, excellent option for gatherings and celebrations!! Excited to see how they expand their menu, food is delicious!! In addition, friendly service, feels like home!!“

“We looked for a good food truck & are SO glad we found Red's! The brisket was Moist, a great smoke ring & a fantastic flavor! We got some of the point & the flat. We also loved the BBQ beans! The owner was extremely friendly & even offered to make me creamed corn, even though they were out! All of us were Extremely pleased with our meals & will recommend the truck, as well as their catering to our friends!“

“Food was amazing!! Came here for pregame crawfish due to recommendations and it did not disappoint!! Most definitely made authentic and just like home!! And then they had bbq, smoked oxtails plate on special with greens and it was tender, perfect amount of smoke and great flavor!! it's BYOB and for sure great vibes for day drinking also!! “Delicious BBQ and beer available local to my grocery shopping needs; love it! My only negative feedback is that there is a very strong resonant sound from something - I assume an air handler - in the dining area. Some areas are almost silent but some are unbearably loud. Hopefully they can put some sound deafening in or something. Otherwise, fantastic.“

The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, and the tables were well-maintained. I also appreciated how attentive she was—clearing tables quickly and checking in to ensure we had everything we needed.

“I visited The Pit for the first time and WOW! The gentleman that took my order was knowledgeable and helpful in me making my decision. I went with a brisket sandwich and was a bit skeptical as I've never gotten one I really enjoyed. This sammich was sooo dang good! The brisket is flavorful, not dry at all, and their orginal BBQ sauce? Sooo yum! I give the food and service a 5! y'all need to get you some! I'll def be back!“

“Incredibly delicious and authentic Indonesian food! My wife and I ate there today, and wow was it good! It took us back to the street food in Jakarta. The ayam bakar (grilled chicken) meal was perfectly cooked and tasted so authentic. Crispy skin, moist chicken, rice and lalapan (lalapan is like a salad - it’s fresh lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, y’all get the idea) The yellow rice (nasi kuning) had that unique coconut fragrance that immediately brought back memories. The homemade sambal (hot sauce) was straight up delicious and if you like spicy, this is for you. It’s pretty spicy, but doesn’t set ya on fire ya know? Highly recommend this spot! Good Indonesian food is hard to find, period. Sate Texas BBQ brings those Indonesian flavors to Texas in a big way! We can’t wait to go back, Selamat Makan!! (Enjoy the food, y’all)!“

“It was very crowded on the Saturday night we went, but the hostess said about 30 minutes and it was right on time.
Outlaw ribeye was great. Texas Tonion was good. I think the best would have to be their new fire roasted corn on the cob.“

“Today was my first order with Ambur Fire from our work's lunchdrop. On a whim I ordered a mushroom swiss bacon burger with cajun crinkle cut fries. It was nearly the cutoff time. It was great. Thank you for providing a spectacular menu of great food.“

“I have a weird affinity for hotel breakfast. The buffet here is a decent spread of super fresh fruits and berries, oatmeal and toppings, yogurts, scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon. Items are refreshed frequently. There is also a breakfast menu with plates and a la carte items as well. Wait staff were attentive without being obtrusive. We did have a small lurch -- ordered a la carte turkey sausage, but it wasn't available (at 9am). Small matter -- we asked if we could have a plate of the pork sausage from the buffet for the a la carte price (the recipient hadn't ordered the buffet). The coffee was hot and plentiful, with the carafe left at the table as the good Lord intended. If you order juice, they leave the decanter at the table as well. Quiet, pleasant ambience allows a good conversation without having to shout or strain to hear and a humane start to the day.“

We get takeout at least once a week now. The BBQ is pretty darn good! The staff has always been pleasant. We haven't dined in yet, but the dining room looks great!“
