“I gave four stars only because the food didn't really taste fresh. I'm not saying it was bad but it seemed like it was warmed back up. Like I said it wasn't bad, but the tortillas were the worst. I opened the tortillas and they were hot fresh and super soft but after like 2 mins they got hard and kinda crunchy 🤷. The staff was nice.“

“The food, the creativity, and the drinks. All amazing. I experienced flavors that were familiar but completely new. Dishes that were traditional but unconventional. Do the wine and cocktail pairings, you won’t be disappointed!“

“I'm not exaggerating when I say this is my favorite place to eat in San Antonio. Located near the airport in a tucked away location, RO-HO Pork & Bread is a hidden gem. This is comfort food at it's finest. Ro-Ho has many great things on the menu, but they are best known for their Torta Ahogada, and it's what I get almost every time. The torta is always hot, the carnitas cooked to perfection, and the tomato salsa is to die for. You can get the torta with straight carnitas or you can mix it up with carnitas, pork stomach and skin, which is what I usually get. The torta also comes with cabbage, onion, radish and lime. No matter how you order it, it's going to be great! The place is super cool, with Mexican artwork and music. There is inside seating and an outside covered patio as well. Everything you can get to drink from the cold case is always ice cold. And they serve one of my favorite Mexican beers, Victoria. Chef Rojo is often around and greets customers. The ladies that work the register and food line are so friendly, and will answer questions if it's your first time. The place fills up quickly at lunch, so keep that in mind. I drive clear across town for my Torta Ahogada fix, if that says anything! Check this place out!“

“I grew up in San Antonio. La Fonda was my favorite restaurant as a child. Back then there were multiple locations around the city. Now there are only two, Alamo Heights, and this one which is in Monte Vista. The food is heavenly. The atmosphere is sublime. Service: exceptional. If you don’t eat TexMex anywhere else while in town you should make time for a late afternoon lunch at La Fonda on Main. It’s in a league of its own. ❤️“

“This is loaded birria fries. They also have Asada, Al Pastor, Pollo/Chicken, picadillo, and more. Be sure to get both sauces as well. The Birria is a brisket style meat that I've never had on loaded fries but It'll be an option from here on out. This plate comes with nachos cheese and mozzarella cheese as well.“

“Used them for a teacher luncheon and they delivered to our school. The elevator was broken and the two ladies carried trays and huge coolers up 2 high flights of stairs at least 7 times up and down. I get exhausted going up once. They had the most pleasant attitude. The food was delicious and the presentation of the trays and warmers was perfect! The next day they came out and picked everything up. Thank you Liz and ladies for your excellent food and service. Will definitely call you guys again!!! I'll make sure the elevator is working! 😉“

“Love the food and the energy but the volume was off the charts last night. The server explained each course but none of the four of us could really hear him. I believe he had trouble hearing us as well as one drink order was incorrect and another missed entirely.“

“Maria's was the 5th spot we tried on our search for best breakfast tacos in SA. The bacon, egg, potato and cheese was really good especially with that hot sauce and its spicy kick. The bean and cheese, while also good wasn't as flavorful as beans I've had elsewhere. The carne guisada and cheese was the best taco for sure. It's a bit of nitpicking, but the meat wasn't quite as tender as compared to other spots and the tortillas overall were on the chewy side. That being said, I really enjoyed this spot and would definitely return for more breakfast tacos as well as to try all the other options on their menu. 4.2 out of 5“

“I love this place. Especially on Mondays-mini taco plate with a sweet tea is $9.99. Hard to beat. Great flavor, large portion size, feels almost like a hole in the wall place. It’s busy during lunch but the service is still fast. This restaurant is now a part of my regular rotation. Glad I found it.“

The gorditas were my favorite but everything we ordered was good!!!“

“Went for the first time last night. They had so many options I couldn't decide what to get but finally settled on the birria grilled cheese. Sooooo good. Good food, and the staff though very busy, were extremely nice. I also got a glimpse of the tacos and other things people were getting and it all looked amazing. The broth is so good I'm saving it to poor over my beans and rice tomorrow. I will be returning.“

“We met up with friends we hadn’t seen in 11 years, and Mi Tierra Café y Panaderia turned out to be the perfect spot for it. From the moment you walk in, the decorations really catch your eye — colorful, festive, and full of character everywhere you look. It feels like you’re stepping into a piece of San Antonio’s history. We absolutely loved the food, and to make it even better, a mariachi band came by our table and performed for us, which made the night feel extra special. We got so caught up in conversation that we ended up staying for a few hours, and our wonderful server took great care of us the whole time. She was attentive and friendly, and we made sure to tip her well for her hard work. The only downside was the long line at the bakery, so we didn’t get a chance to try it this time — but that just gives us a reason to come back. Overall, it was a memorable night at a truly unique San Antonio classic. Highly recommend!“

“We stopped in to celebrate our son's 12th birthday, his wish was to go plane spotting as a family. My husband remembered from his childhood how close the planes would fly while coming in to land at the airport so we decided to visit again. Best choice ever! The staff is kind, courteous and attentive. The patio is absolutely perfect for plane spotting! It is beautiful with an amazing garden themed atmosphere. My son was so happy and smiling so big with the massive planes flying into the runway. Thank you Nicha's! 🥰“

“It was a great place. Everyone looked pleased and enjoyed the food and drinks. This should now be fast food not cooked to order. The service was fantastic so many waiters. The food was flying out of the kitchen so fast that it’s impossible It was cooked to order. I went there specifically for the Molé poblano. My chicken was grilled smashed pounded dry breast, not a thigh stewed in the Molé sauce, like Abuela would do, the sauce was delicious. It smothered the chicken, but it was still too dry for me to swallow without washing it down with that delicious hibiscus flowered flavored drink.“
